So apparently theres a version 2 of the retrobit (hopefully this is what you’re talking about). At the moment its not compatible, but Brook is aware and will hopefully update their compatibility soon.
@@jonyfraze Have you been given any update by Brook on whether they still intend to make the Retrobit V2 compatible? I just received one and was disappointed to find it not working...
For some odd reason when I’m trying to use the controller, it doesn’t do what any of this firmware update does for me. It flips the buttons and makes the Z and C buttons be L2 and R2. Is there any sort of issue that I’m not figuring out here?
Wtf? I had no idea this was even a problem.... I bought my Saturn controller from them for my PC and emulation and all that shit but just for the hell of it, I plugged it into my Switch and it worked with no hassle or messing around. Or are we just talking about it not working on PS4 and Xbox One? :0
just for PS4 using this adapter. The issue is that Sony has a proprietary security chip that needs to be present in controllers for them to connect and stay connected.
When I tried my wingman fgc on it,it seemed to be the default layout. I believe the retrobit has different firmware depending on which model and when you bought it and made some adjustments to their PCB.

Awesome video man, glad to know they've been able to make the controller work with the PS3-PS4 Brook adapter. Although, do the converters turn the controller's D-pad inputs into PS4 D-Pad inputs or PS4 Analog inputs? Because on my PC I get analog inputs when using the D-pad and certain games like Tekken 7 require you to use D-pad inputs to go through the menus. On PC this isn't much of an issue since you can easily rebind said analog inputs to keyboard inputs. But on PS4, this is more of an issue since you will literally not be able to use the game's menus so you won't be able to select your character.
How is it BS? The controller was made for specifically for PC. PS4 controllers require specific logic chips that allow authentication to the console. The brook converter adds that portion when connected.
