Only because you were wondering about the wingman of the Greek pilot, in Greek language we can hear in the original video he confirms he has the Turk wingman on the same situation.
The clip starts with the Mirage in inverted position at a diving angle of 35deg FL260 (the crests of the Aegean Sea waves can be seen in the background). The pilot keeps pulling back the stick and the Mirage moves on an arc up to almost 90deg vertical position (FL239). All this time the Mirage is pointing at the F-16. At FL243 (55deg diving angle) the Mirage instantly has the F-16 in range of the IR missiles. At FL240 at a diving angle of 65deg the Mirage do a left roll of 145deg, the roll concludes in almost a vertical position (FL290), Mirage is in upright position and the pilot keeps pulling the stick back. The Mirage moves on an arc of circle, loses height and decreases diving angle. At FL185 the Mirage is at level position and gets the 6 o’clock of the F-16, which brakes right in a diving turn and then turn left. During diving the Mirage changes the bank of angle in order to keep pointing at the F-16, which means that the F-16 is performing a turn. Apparently the F-16 did a left (to its heading) climbing turn “chandelle” and the Mirage has been in higher altitude inverted and dive. Possibly the F-16 turn was a lead turn during the merge. The “mild” engagement could be explained, TuAF is trying to develop tactics in dissimilar air combat by “testing” the Mirage’s. Greek AF has an advantage on this for having both F-16 and Mirage.
You are wondering how the other Mirage vs F16 was going...in the video the pilot can be heard saying (i am translating in English) "I have him in guns..." and the other Mirage pilot responds "same". So, the fate of the 2nd F16 is exactly the same as the one of the video.
@@George_Washington_ the 2nd F16 is not shown in the video, only the 1st F16 is visible. We can understand from the communication of the 2 Mirage pilots the fate of the dogfight between the other Mirage 2000 and the 2nd F16. Its exactly the same as in the video we see.

Good evening from Greece my friend!Very good analysis!Thank you!Just to know the mirage in the video is a 2000-5 mk2 version. There's no chance for the f-16 against it at these speeds...some information about the video: this is an interception because they first violated Greek airspace just to bother an NH-90 helicopter of Greek army aviation that was carrying the Greek chief of staff that's where all begins! And as always they have been intercepted.About the jam signal it's not about the missile or the radar but about the radio....when they invade our aerospace they always do electronic war with their CN-235 or from ground radars...in order to confuse our pilots at the critical point....but the radar of the plane can't be jamed only the radio....so either from Mica ir or guns he's "dead" anyway....also because they know that we won't shoot them down, when our pilots are very close behind them they leave flares hoping that one of them may enter the engine and make damage to the Greek airplane....my brother is a pilot at Hellenic Air Force so I know all this by first hand....I hope that one day they will stop doing all these things and leave in peace with us but Erdogan brainwashed their heads too much and I'm afraid this won't happen in the close future....Nevertheless mirage is a very beautiful French aircraft and we call it the X-factor in our airspace....it always make the difference!Vive la France!

This has nothing to do with Erdogan. Turkey and Greece are testing each others limits over the Aegean sea before Erdogan was even born. It will stop when Greece stops to try to extend its territorial waters and airspace from 6 miles to 10-12 miles. Until than it will go on.
I served the Greek army in 1997. Mandatory for 18 months. I was stationed on the eastern coast of Lesvos, very close to Turkey. I remember always hearing sonic booms when the Greek pilots were intercepting the Turks, that were always invading our air space. And that’s over 20 years ago. My opinion is the Turks would invade Greek air space in order to learn maneuvers from the Greek pilots. Simple. Never underestimate the enemy, but the Greeks dominate in aviation. :)
The f16 is bagged. He has external fuel tanks. So maneuvering is very limited. If he wanted to go aggressive he would have dropped his tanks. But the Greek pilot was already in position so if he would have gone aggressive it would not have been a good idea. But as I said he was very limited on maneuvering with fuel tanks on the wings. Remember with tanks on he is G and AOA limited.
this happens at least 10 times a day. And every time the Turks leave in a panic with their tails in their legs. The mirage is a special plane and the maneuverability in the hands of Greek pilots is multiplied to the maximum degree. Τhe tanks don't matter. They were empty. The Turkish plane began to violate the Greek airspace many miles before (about 250 miles before making circles entering and leaving Greek territory) and that was the moment that they began overflying over Greek island and were in the final stages of its mission, which was not completed. When the Greek air force appears, the Turkish pilots try to achieve even a minimal victory but eventually leave, begging not to eat any bullets because it is known that the NATO missiles cannot be fired against NATO targets.
@@user-dias.erkeios Sorry but it doesn't matter if it happens 1000 times a day. The tanks and stores do matter empty or full. We commented on the very short video of a fighter that was dirty and limited in AOA and G's. A WW2 Fw190 would out match an F16 with external tanks on it. Nothing wrong with national pride. If they wanted to fight the tanks would have not been there.
Buddy I am a Greek war pilot and I know what's going on over the Agean sea it's not funny . While we are called to scramble we are over Greek territory we are getting near to the borders some times but they try to get over the Aegean sea a lot of times and we are pushing them back. They are always afraid we don't use mirage so much and we use F-16 from Crete that's an common scene from the Aegean air of Greece . A very informative video, explaining complicated things we see on the Hellenic Dash 5 heads up display. The helicopter mentioned (an NH-90TTH of the Hellenic Army Aviation) was actually carrying the Defense Minister and the Chief of Hellenic National Defense General Staff (a 4 star General) for a visit to several eastern Aegean island National Guard garrisons. It is very common for turkish aircraft to harass and even try to "accidentally" (using their jet engines blast) shoot down Greek helicopters that fly inside Athens FIR and Hellenic national airspace. I see many times, people comment that scenes like the one depicted on the gun camera of the Mirage, are very dangerous between 2 NATO "allies" and have to stop and both countries should stop the disputes, etc. I must inform these commentators that Greece is not claiming anything from turkey or want's to be part of any dispute. As a self named regional "super" power, turkey has become in these last decades the neighborhood bully, demanding air, land, sea and natural resources from its neighbours, just because it's the biggest fattest kid on the block. Turkey has mastered the art of fake news, public opinion manipulation, hacking and blocking free speech sites and blogs, terrorising by characterising numerous lawful actions as acts of war (Casus Belli) and the newest of them all, hybrid warfare by using Muslim illegal immigrants (able bodied males in their 20s and 30s, mostly from Pakistan and Afghanistan, claiming to be refugees...) as a way to colapse a nations economy and social infastructure. Besides the above means, turkey's number 1 way of persuasion against Greece at least, is their air force, and its daily intrusions (naming them as "training" flights over international airspace...) into Athens FIR without filing any flight plans (extremely dangerous for civil/commercial aviation that share the same airspace), intrusions into Hellenic national airspace and also often brief overflights of Greek islands and all of that by armed aircraft (the pilots even carry their personal sidearm during these flights as seen in videos and reports!!! The TuAF pilot who murdered a Greek F-16 pilot in 2006 by crashing his jet on him, after his ejection, threatened the Greek rescue diver from the HAF helicopter who was trying to save him by aiming his H&K 9mm pistol at him). Do you remember that the turks shot down a Russian Su-24 fighter because it allegedly violated turkish airspace for a couple of seconds? How would France or Canada handle these intrusions/provocations if they were in Greece's shoes? After the failed (staged???) turkish military coup d'état of 2016, a huge number of TuAF pilots were thrown into prison for alleged involvement in it, or for voting for the wrong guy, if you like, I would say. Turkey is in a state since 2016, of having more jets than pilots (0,6 pilots per aircraft when the healthy number is around 2 to 1) and the whole training course of new (loyal to the regime?) pilots is sped up, with every problem that this might cause to the efficiency, pilot skills, accident rates, etc. Retired TuAF pilots are being called back from the private sector to serve again, by threats that they will never work again in turkish (national/state funded) airlines, so that the gap is bridged. There are numerous AVTR tapes on RUclips from Greek fighter interceptors that show reckless and dangerous flying from turkish pilots who are being intercepted and refuse that they lost the "game" in the air. Most of these are before 2016, when TuAF was at its "prime"... The only turkish video I found over the years, that shows a Greek fighter (Mirage 2000) in a TuAF F-16 gunsight, is a fake, taken from a video game, probably DCS... I am not a pilot, or an expert in military aviation, and yes I am a bit biased as a Greek but i will like to add my 2 cents concerning the May 3rd dogfight video. What I see is a highly skilled cold blooded professional soldier defending his homeland from asian intruders who have zero respect for international law and treaties, national holidays and religious celebrations and human rights or human life itself... And to answer your question, he is probably not locking his radar on the F-16, so that the turk doesn't also start popping flares on top of the jamming (a sign of brown pants in my eyes, probably with one hand on the ejection handle), and eject thinking that a MICA is coming for him, and force his HAF colleagues manning the SAR helicopter to go pick him up from the water. At least this guy knew he was beaten fair and straight and he acknowledges just that by giving up and not trying to crash on anyone in anger... That tells me that newer TuAF pilots realise that they are pawns of the regime, and will not risk their life to back up the rediculous claims of their deranged sultan who is trying to raise the long gone ottoman empire from the ashes... In turkey, they celebrate their raiding (Akincilar...) and pillaging history as a nomad tribe, in Greece we praise Freedom, Democracy and good neighbouring relations. Sierra Hotel ATE, safe landings. PS: You missed a dogfight that took place in 1974 during the turkish invasion of the Republic of Cyprus. A flight of 2 TuAF F-102As opened fire (firing AIM-4 falcons) against a flight of 2 Hellenic Air Force F-5As that were scrambled to intercept them over the north Aegean sea (Athens FIR). The Greek fighters responded, shooting down 1 F-102 with an AIM-9B and chasing the second one, that also crashed short of its base probably due to excessive use of AB, that resulted in fuel starvation. Both turkish pilots perished. This incident is well documented and there used to be an interview of one of the Greek aviators describing it on ACIG dot org.
This incident happened at 25-27.000 feet. No helicopter flies that high since 1.) their cabins are not pressurized, and 2.) their rotors will not be able to create lift at low air density at such an altitude. So there is something else the Greek side is not saying.
@@orhan6211 Either you did not understand my comment, or you are deliberately trying to push some shady agenda as a troll in the payroll of the turkish islamic regime, cause you are clearly a turk. So let me make things clear for you. As you see in the video, a fighter jet can descend or climb very fast, in a matter of seconds. The intruding TuAF F-16 two-ship formation that is being intercepted by the Hellenic Air Force 331 Squadron Mirage 2000-5Mk2 pair, could be flying top cover for another pair of TuAF F-16s that harassed the helo, or those can be the same F-16s that did the harassment and gained altitude to return to their base in the Asian mainland. I never wrote and no one implied that the Hellenic Army Aviation NH-90 was harassed at an altitude of 25K+ feet. That would just be stupid... On the contrary, the Greek side is telling everything about all turkish provocative incursions daily by reports in the Hellenic National Defense General Staff webpage (geetha.mil.gr/en/violations/violations-of-national-airspace-infringements-of-air-traffic-regulations-icao/). In May 3rd 2020, according to the GEETHA webpage, 5 two-ship formations of turkish aircraft (all of them armed with live ammunition) were intercepted (visually identified) by the Hellenic Air Force. During 6 of those interceptions, turkish jets reacted by trying to get a tactical advantage over the Greek interceptors, resulting in dogfights. I bet that at the time of the helo harassment there were more jets in the air than the 2 Mirages and the 2 F-16s. Do your homework before making irrelevant no sense comments next time, or is it your mission to spread bulsh*t opinions to the uneducated viewers after all? Turkey will not make its international face any better by trying to make the rest of the world dumber, just saying. Peace.

There's a pretty simple explanation for the absence of radar lock. Both sides are armed, both pilots are nervous (no matter how trained you are, the fear of your life is there). Imagine now the pressure a constant sound, that warns you for radar lock, would add up. The chance for a fatal error rises way to much, thus no radar lock.
No I don't believe professional pilots fear to radar lock. This is waht they are trained for. It's political. You don't radar lock because it's an act of war. A Turkish destroyer did it to a french destroyer a few months ago and it led to a diplomatic crisis. Greece dosen't want any escaladtion. What we cannot really say for the Turkish dictature
@@darty58 yes you are right. Fighting G's, constantly turning and twisting your aircraft, while the 3 different warnings (radar, ecm, weapons) going on it's not frustrating because they are professional pilots. Extremely insightful depiction from an obvious expert. Subscribed. I would've thought the F16 would've had the upper hand. Just goes to show how great the Mirage is and the Greek pilots ability. A real life scenario played out right there. It's also obvious the importance to keep an airforce constantly updated both in training and technology. Never realised the constant infringement on Greek airspace.
Generally it would but they started out low and slow in bad position with worse pilots Undoubtedly and the F16’s kept their 2 heavy wing tanks on the whole time and didn’t drop them to engage because they didn’t take it for completely real and or it was too late.
there is no infringement on greek soil rather the greek claims absurd land lines and air lines that no one would accept,,also they do break treaties made before about those islands.
I recently started flying the F16 (in DCS of course) after spending a lot of time with the M2K, and using their respective flight model as a reference, there's not much that the Viper can do at low airspeeds because the Mirage has a much better nose authority than the F16, especially at those speeds. But again, that's in DCS, so whether that's actually the case or not in real life, is for me a mystery... :)
I don't know if the F-16 in DCS (still in early access with a lot missing) is realistic. But I hate her behaviour. I feel like in a train stuck to invisible rails. No feelings at all. M2K give me much more fun as I am always surprised of what she can do ! Even the Hornet is not do directive as the F-16 is... If real F-16 are like this, meh....
You should not judge F-16 capabilities based on DCS shitty flight model. It´s like driving a Ferrari F40 in Accolade Test Drive. Better use Falcon BMS instead.

It is very difficult for the Turkish pilots to make a "kill". This for some serious reasons, one of them being that they have no experience being into offensive position in a dogfight. In addition to this, the Turkish regime actually imprisoned most of the TAF pilots, holding them responsible for the 2016 coup. There're even more reasons which Im not gonna mention. - - - - - - - - - What I am gonna mention though is this: since you mentioned that Greece *"CALLS as violation of her airspace"* the everyday invasion of the Turkish AF pilots, perhaps you need to see the announcements of the USA and the European Union (to say the least) on this issue, and how they both condemn *exactly* these *"VIOLATIONS"* of the Greek airspace *AND* flyovers. About two weeks ago TAF made 150 violations of the Greek airspace and flyovers *in one single day.* So, I suggest that when you deal with these issues, *either remain* to only the technical data and description, *or* if you wanna mention binational relations, *do some serious research.*

Clearly Turkish threat perception did not foresee an engagement, in short HAF Mirage was in a very favourable position and f16 pilot never thought that he will actually fire missile at him, that is why he did not even dropped his fuel tanks.
Yes we have never fired on them buddy if we were locking them and shoot them down the whole Turkish Air Force would have been gone! Let me explain what happened: At first the Greek Ministry of Defense and it's High General went to check National Garrison at some islands on the borders. Then that Turkish Aircraft went there to try to disturb or even shoot it down "accidentally" when it was detected a Greek Mirage take off quickly from a near island I think when the F-16 saw it at it's radars he gained altitude and he tried to go back to Turkey. But the Mirage are fastest and that Turkey's aircraft had and 2 fuel tanks so it was slower. The mirage went at it's back and locked it at his radars but never fired Greek thought a lesson to Turkey of disturbing the Minister not provoking a war Greece is a defensive country and Turkey an agressive one . We actually not even lock Turkey's aircrafts or even use mirage in order to don't show them how mirage behaves in battle we use F-16 . That happens a lot times per day if we wanted we would have wrote a whole tome about that! It's not dog fight it's a simulation of dog fights pilots are getting more experienced into that . But Turkey is playing with fire over the Agean sea even with the S-400 they can't win a full war in the air sea or even land
@@MIXALIS7534 What I am saying that these kind of skirmish keep on happening, and usually once intruder realize he is spotted he simply leaves, in th his case Turkish aircraft had entered and once seen mk2 he simply moved out but it was locked and shot, remember f16 did not jettison its fuel tank, first sign of an engagement.
Thanks for he explanations, i wasn't expecting less from you :p I share your point of view about the large scale situation we dont know ! See you next Live !
Bro, in Greece we have close to 180 F16s more of them block 52 advanced and we successfully converted the first ever most advanced F16 to block 70/72 VIPER with AESA Radar and other goodies. 84 units will follow. We also started receiving our 24 Rafales. And a bit later F35s. The most powerful air force in the area. Our Mirage have been upgraded to 2000-5 MK2 with SCALP EG missiles and of course Exocet and we might receive the 2000-9 from UAE too when UAE will start receiving their Rafales. Unfortunately, NATO doesn't let us receive fully strategic weapons, only semi-strategic with up 500klms range. Even our new most advanced 4 Frigates we ordered from France, initially the SCALP EG Naval version included with more than 1000klms range but eventually they cut us out (US) from the missile and instead more anti-air vertical launchers will be included, with the missiles that France claims one missile one target out (never misses). Greece faithfully follows the example/legacy our ancestors left us (300 Spartans). We're few but powerful. We also ordered new MH60R the newest version anti-submarine helicopter for the frigates, we received our 4 new supposedly best sub-marines in the world, Apache, Kiowa and NH90 helicopters, MLRS, Patriot, S-300, Crotale, our MBT Leopard 2A6 and 2A4, PZH2000 Artillery and left many out. It's what kept Greece the most stable nation in North-Eastern Europe (Balkan Peninsula). We will also built in Greece either the 4 French Corvettes GoWind or a new one with collaboration with Israel. The reason we have among the best pilots in the world is because in order to become pilot in Greece you need better grades even than Doctors.
Peacetime you keep your fuel tanks. Interesting to note he came with them, and again, with the initial manoeuvre it wouldn t have changed anything anyway.
The Hellenic aircraft was in such a dominating position SEVERAL TIMES, it would not have mattered. I think the turkish pilot is a new pilot and has little experience.
You are one hundred percent right, problem is some one just want to show it as a total failure of Turkish air force. The reason f16 had its fuel tank bcz if no engagement happened how he was going to explain, his briefing must had been if chased just leave. HAF will not fire and he did the same other wise on first sign of mk2 appearance he should get rid of his fuel tanks and mk2 is no match for him.
' both Gr and Tu are still beautifully countrys and people... both Gr and Tu are friendly great love neighborhood borderline... dont need to fights war each others
the story is that they were after the helicopter (minister of defence) and they were not very interested in the M2000. it not unheard for turkish airplanes not to engage when the have a specific mission on mind. Further more the rumors is that TAF has lost a lot of its experienced fighter due to the coup and the epidemic so the turkish pilot could be not very experienced. Thanks for the video mate
You said that F-16 is single engine and doesn't have as potent ones as F-22, but if you do at least empty weight calculations, you'll see that the resulting thrust to weight ratio is about the same. Sure, F-22's engines are state of the art, but let's not forget they have to propel some *really* hefty machinery there... Of course, adding fuel and other stuff worsens it more for the lighter plane, that much I agree. Still, F-16's engine is very much decent even compared to newer fighters. By the way, I wonder what's you take on the DCS's Mirage 2000C flight model? Is it overdone a little? Also, have you tried the 2000C in Falcon BMS? Don't you think the FM is awful? If Mirages flew like that, I doubt they would be able to fight anything serious at all.
Well, the level of the TuAF used to be better, but after the 2016 coup attempt Erdolf is seeing enemies everywhere and has acutally decimated the old guard of pilots, which are now in jail. Most of the Turkish F-16's are now being piloted by fresh out of the academy cadets and there have been rumors that due to the shortage they have used Pakistani pilots. Nonetheless, trying to improve my limited knowledge, i have read that the turn rate of the Mk2 is much better than the F16 in close combat and most of the times it'll get in the 6'o clock position. Is this true? Also, i suspect the reason behind the aquisiton of the russian S-400 system was actually to kill turkish F-16's in case of a new coup, since the planning is for them to be deployed around Ankara, protecting the sultan's palace.
@@eggyballsteabagsgtfo9988 Well.... www.dailysabah.com/defense/2019/11/25/turkey-to-fly-f-16s-near-ankara-to-test-s-400-radar-systems-report-says ....and if you search for the neighbours that have F-16's, those are. a/Greece, b/Israel, c/Romania. In the case of Greece, deployment would be much more useful around Istanbul and/or the Aegean coast. In the case of Israel, F-16's have already given up the crucial missions to F-35. In the case of Romania... it has 8 ex-Portuguese F16A's, which are of no concern. Why on earth would they deploy around Ankara and test it on their own F-16's? If you have a better explanation, i'm glad to hear it.
@@paulniotis6755 So of course they will test it on their platforms? Because F-16 is the F-16 everywhere so why transport it to somewhere else? And the test data and radar data can be captured by other ELINT/SIGINT platforms so the most secure place to test too.
@@eggyballsteabagsgtfo9988 I guess we'll see in the future won't we? That is... if they don't succumb to US pressure to throw them away or just return them to Vladimir. :)
how can i have an accent like you have ^^' mine is really ugly (each time i speak in english, a plane get an engine breakdown) ... really good and understandable video by the way. i have a question about the Mirage 2000 : is that some sort of Winglet on the fuselage ? (near the turbine's opening)
Yes these are "stake". It creates a vortex during high AOA and enables the jet to maneuver at very low speed : www.lavionnaire.fr/AerodynFlecheDelta.php#VortexAile (check "générateur de fuselage")
Comparing this two aircrafts witch one is more manouvereable? I know deltawings are perfect for dogfights but you can constantly hear about the f16s great maneuverability... so witch one actually is a better dogfighter?
F16 with two bags, not so great in a dogfight. Punch the tanks and it’s got its advantage back. I say this because the F16 driver has two big tanks (one under each wing(gas tank)). Also irl that f16 would be shooting flares heavily, he looks to be a newbie loafing around.
Turkish F-16 accomplished its mission. It harassed a helicopter with a VIP on board. It probably didnt even wanted to dogfight considering it has its fuel tanks on.
In 1996 the Turkish F-16 suffered a mechanical failure, it wasn't shot down. It's the official report from all participants in that dogfight. His engine caught on fire (probably exploded) as he turned on afterburner. The report also states that the F-16s had a clear advantage in that dogfight. So you better get your facts straight.
Hello Até, your comments are very professional. Press people as you know are looking for sensational. They don't care about technicity in a dog fight. Maybe if there were real firing it would have been better from their viewpoint. They act the same in all jobs . They just like to please the man in the street. And the public at large get a wrong perception of airforce careers. Like in the teaching activity where I worked for 40 years , the public at large having a view deformed by journalism , imagine a teacher as someone sitting on a chair all day telling students or learners to do this and that. Anyway it is interesting to view your channel from a professional , not sensational side , it is very instructive especially to someone anticipating a career .

There are a number of things you should take into acocunt in this video: * The video of the dogfight is so short. We do not know what happened before and after of the incident. We do not know how many of Turkish and Greek air force units were part of the dogfight or where they were. We do not know the position of both air planes at the beginning of the dogfight. * Turkish F16 plane has no air-to-air missile on it. * Turkish Air Force has its own simulation and dogfight training facilities on each military bases. No need to get trained by dogfighting with Greek Air Force units. * Turkish Army has a strong warning and electronic warfare capabilities. You wouldn't see any Turkish Fighter in case of a conflict without air-air weapons. More over, Turkey has it's own national weapons. Bozdogan is a short range, infrared guided air-to-air missile. Gokdogan is a medium range, radar guided air-to-air missile. * Turkish army has network based war capacity. * The true force of an Air Force is proved during combat, not with a dogfight done against a unarmed fighter. If you pay attention Turkish F16 is trying to do an evasive action. The strick order gaved to turkish fight pilots is doing evasive actions in case of dogfight. * Greek pilot is trying to do dogfight, while Turkish one is trying to do evasive action. * In case of an air combat Turkish Air Forces has proved them selves. You don't seem to remeber the military exercices done by Turkish Air Force near the Libyan coasts. A fleet of seven of Turkish F16 planes flew there during seven and half an hour with the support of KC135 Squirt planes, C130 Search and Rescue teams and an Early Warning Plane. Neither Greek Air Forces nor other European countries couldn't done any operation like this. * Turkish army has a big and powerful drone fleet. You don't remeber what happened to this very powerful Pansir air defence units held by Russian soldiers. Turkish forces have their own air defence units too. * According to the Lozan Peace treaty, Aegean islands must be unarmed. Greece is breaking the treaty. The island Greece Defence minister has landed is an unpopulated island. It's a no man zone island. Turkey has it right to ask Greece forces to leave these islands. * Coastal water, maritime zone are determined by mutual treaty according to International Law, not with the declaration of Greece and EU on their own without discussing with Turkey. Islands has no continental shelf right. If you do not know look at the International Court of Justice documentation. There are more than 30 cases that states islands has no continental shelf. Greece has to learn to share Aegean See with Turkey. * Once again from International Court of Justice, Greece has no right to increase costal area to 12 miles without discussing with Turkey. Increasing costal area to 12 miles is only allowed by discussing neighbor countries. Greece has decided to do on its own. It's unacceptable. It is an immidiate casus belli. * Turkish Navy has proved his force too. Greek Navy is lying on its ports while Turkish Navy is present on every his interest areas, near Libyan coast, protecting its Blue Homeland, Aegean See, Blacksea, Katar, Somali operations... As a result, those who chears so much for the Greek superiority keep playing in your washbowl with your rubbIer ducks.
Chris Challouma, I know you are a little looser Greek child. But I'm better than you at these mind games. Don't forget, I'm a Turk. Turk's war is always tricky. These footages are part of the psychological war that you and your parties are trying to conduct against Turkey. Your psychological war will be successful aganist me if I accept it silly boy. You're not successful my little friend. Why should I accept your laughable claims :) By the way, you didn't opposed none of the facts that I depicited. So, you know that you are wrong. You little Greek looooser. I ask you why NATO left Greece withouth support on Libyan war, on Mediterranean Sea, why EU countries are not supporting Greece on it's strategic aims. You do not have any response looser boy. And yes we are at the doing war against our NATO allies, since NATO countries placed a terrorist organisation to our south border. This is national wide accepted opinion of the Turks. Turks thinks that USA and other NATO countries are pure enemy against Turkey. PKK and YPG have killed more than 50.000 people in Turkey, inlcuding civilians, univercity professors, writers, journalists, researchers, school teachers, children, doctors, paysants, nurses, and many more beside policemans, and soldiers. We had to pay more than one trillion dolar against PKK/YPG terorism with the terms of 2013. We could create a peaceful, non-military country easyly. But our NATO allies decided to do the reverse. They decided to sow the wind and now they are reaping the whirlwind. This is only the beginning. Revenge is a dish best served cold. We're waiting... By protecting PKK/YPG as USA's land force NATO countries have our martyrs blood on their hands too. We will retaliate all of our martyrs. We won't forget them. And once again you don't remember our previous operations in the region don't you? We've killed so many Syrian soldiers, we lost count. Let me refresh your dump memory little child. During Turkish army drone attacks against Syrian Army 12 vehicle, 24 tanks, 8 anti-aircraft pads, 2 light armored vehicle, 3 armored personal carrier, 4 multiple-launch rocket system, 2 drones and 2 work heavy construction equipment are destroyed. During the same period 5 tanks, 3 armored personal carrier, a light armored anti-aircraft and a 106 milimeter gun have been captured by Syrian Free Army. The air attack is an example of modern flack drone attack that none of NATO countries couldn't done any attack at this level yet including France and Greece. We dealed with Syrians and they are all dead. Like other ones like YPG and their precious NATO allies will become. You will say, "we fill fire you from NATO" little boy, that's not happnes that way, Turkey has to accept to be out of the NATO. Being NATO member prevents you firing directly on Turkey. That's why NATO members are conducting a dirty war that they will loose against us. You have so much to learn little boy. Ahhh, there is a saying in turkish "the beaten wrestler is never satisfied with wrestling." You will not stop trying to answer me. I will mock you everytime with pleasure. Go on try to answer me, allow me insult you. If you want more lessons look at the Libyan war. What happened to this Hafter's milita little boy? You send me to see a news from a NATO based miltary defence news. Of course they will pamper looser Greeks. Who will die against Turkey in a war do you think. Do you suppose, do you dream a support from NATO in case of a war with Turkey on behalf of Greece. Maybe after Turkish pilots will destroy all Greek air basea and navy, NATO countries will accept to make fly with a couple of planes in order to show their flag. Little copy past boy, the news that you're sending is nothing for me. The little looser pilot who's trying to look with anger is nothing for us. He is the new kid on the block. Having newest best equipment doesn't make him best pilot. Does Greece have a Aerobatics team? No, looser Greek hasn't yet an acrobatics team. They have nothing in fact. Turkey has two of them. Solo Turk and Turkish Stars. Your Top Gun has many many things to learn from his Turkish collegues. You looser boy, learn, study your lesson better. Other wise I'll mock you many many more. The guy on the news is a trainer pilot from a Greek Air Force Training Center. They have build one because Turkey has Anatolia Eagle Military Air Training Center too. We are so honered because of Greek learned a lesson from us. We Turks, we're great! Both, Turkish and Greek Air Force Training Centers are examples of American Red Flag Air Force Military Exercise. This exercices are held in Nellis Air Base in South Nevada, USA each year since 1975. Turkish Air force attended to Red Flag Military Exercises four times. Lastly, Turkish Air Force attendedn in 2016. The idea is to train blue team who represents USA and all other countries pilots who need training like Greeks, with the help of other countries air forces who plays as red team. The training senario always ends with the total victory of the blue team. The red team represents Russia. The very first time Turkish Air Force attended to Red Flag in 1997. A fleet of six pilots and planes, and one KC135 tanker plane has gone to Nellis, Navada. The very first time that Turkish trainer pilots played the role of Mig 29 later, they played as Su 27. During exercices all planes are using a device called ACMI POD. It records and transfers all maneuvers of the plane. It looks like a little air-to-air missile. That how if a plane is hit or not. On the very first day of the drills, one and only one Turkish trainer pilot hit 9 and another one hit 5 USA pilots. They used tanker plane during drills. He hit 5 planes, get fuels from KC135 and get back to drill and hit 4 planes too. Our pilot who have hit 9 planes was using callsign Tango-1, another one was using callsign Cash-1. Together they form TC (Initials of Turkey Republic in Turkish). The second day of the drills Turkish team with only six planes caused a crisis on the drills because only a few of blue team pilots were unhit. Until the end of the exercises non of the NATO pilots couldn't hit Tango-1. So a pathch named "Tango-1 Never Dies" was given as the honor of his success. Basing the example of Red Flag Exercises, Turkish Air force maid his own training center in Konya, "Anadolu Eagle." The training center has the capacity of simulating every scenario that a war time will require. Moreover, the center has can simulate all air defence systems in the world. Turkish piots knows how to deal with Pansir, S300, or S400 air defence systems. But your top gun and his trainies don't know how they can survive against a Hisar series air defence system. In 2000 a group of USA pilots came to Konya for training. Once again USA pilots were all hit by Tango-1 and his team members. So our pilts have nothing to learn by your little looser top gun Greek pilot. They are all little babies with diaper. So looser, once again keep playing with your rubber ducks.
Bro, can you make tutorial about dogfigh on udemy? Civilian like us can't access this kind of education, though people like me have vast interest about this. Thanks.
@@adibar9066 I know (I mean I guess that we will buy them) but they won't be the F35 that are today. Yes old aircrafts need maintenance and upgrades but both Mirage-2000 and F16 are well known for winning dogfights. Besides you need 94-122 million to buy 1 F35 and every hour of flight costs 4 times as much as it costs for the F16. Now we can upgrade 85 of our F16 fleet for 1,5 billion. For these money we can only buy approx. 10 F35! And number of aircrafts are as important as other parameters.

HAF pilots giving a good name to French defence Industry... (Frencies you should extra discount for our marketing efforts... :)

lol stories
The f16 is bagged. He has external fuel tanks. So maneuvering is very limited. If he wanted to go aggressive he would have dropped his tanks. But the Greek pilot was already in position so if he would have gone aggressive it would not have been a good idea. But as I said he was very limited on maneuvering with fuel tanks on the wings. Remember with tanks on he is G and AOA limited.
Wouldn t have made any difference following the initial maneouvre
@@ATECHUET but we do not know what was going on before the initial intercept. We got a snip that is all.
Megabyteme325 I agree it’s just a sad propoganda clip from the Greeks
this happens at least 10 times a day.
@@user-dias.erkeios
Sorry but it doesn't matter if it happens 1000 times a day.
You have to know that they do that 20+ times per day over the sea and we have light dog fights often . They are always afraid we don't use mirage so much and we use F-16 from Crete that's an common scene from the Aegean air of Greece . I don't want war with Turkey but if they want war and they provoke that they should know that Greece will respond with catastrophical power!

How long did it take to write that??

Fighting G's, constantly turning and twisting your aircraft, while the 3 different warnings (radar, ecm, weapons) going on it's not frustrating because they are professional pilots.

The F-16's best option is to keep up her speed. That's where she shines. She's no Hornet and she can't slow fight with the M2K.

ATE do you think the F-16 jockey didn't jettison his tanks because he wasn't taking it that seriously, or because he was surprised and reacted so late that he had to focus on immediate manoeuvring and could not ditch the tanks in time?

The wing man or leader was engaging the other F-16. At the end of the video the M2000 pilot says “I’m steady on guns”, meaning I have the bandit in guns position. The other pilot reports “same”, having on guns his target also. This dogfight is older than 3rd of May. The ministry of Defence just decided to publish it after the NH-90 incident.
Thanks for these updates.
Looks like 2 1v1 fights, but "no tape no claim" as we say 😉

I also want to congratulate you for your channel. Very nice work !!!
Super intéressant ! Bon boulot avec cette chaîne !
I don't know if it can even be called as a dog fight, I am afraid it cannot even be termed as an engagement. What I understand it was some kind of aggressive manoeuvres being carried out by Turkish aircraft how on earth it was harassing a helicopter at 20000 feet. Clearly Turkish threat perception did not foresee an engagement, in short HAF Mirage was in a very favourable position and f16 pilot never thought that he will actually fire missile at him, that is why he did not even dropped his fuel tanks.
It still qualify as an engagement
I thought this happened in 1996 not in 2020. Is that just a mistake or did this happen twice with the same exact plot.
The 16 kept its two bags on the whole time so he never really was trying to fight for real in my opinion.
SN D it has better BVR it is more than a match. 1 turk f16 was already downed by a Mirage 2000 of HAF and that is the first and only example globally.

I hate the erdolf too but the S-400 thing is a bit absurd? Dont you think?

In the case of Greece, deployment would be much more useful around Istanbul and/or the Aegean coast.
In the case of Israel, F-16's have already given up the crucial missions to F-35.
In the case of Romania... it has 8 ex-Portuguese F16A's, which are of no concern. Why on earth would they deploy around Ankara and test it on their own F-16's?

Hello thanks for sharing great job. Saludos
Thank you! Cheers!
And then you wake up
Hello Até, your comments are very professional.
Anyway it is interesting to view your channel from a professional , not sensational side , it is very instructive especially to someone anticipating a career .

the point here and no one mentioned it did the greek mirage had external fuel tanks?
With the trajectories it doesn't make much difference.
And if you want to show up in a merge with external tanks, deal with it as we say ;-)
There are a number of things you should take into acocunt in this video:
* The video of the dogfight is so short.
Why should I accept your laughable claims :)
By the way, you didn't opposed none of the facts that I depicited.
Thanks.
Looks more like the turk doesnt even care lol
when greece purchase the f35 its goodbye turkey
Greece deserve Rafale, not the clunky f35
Greek Mirage and F16 are being upgraded (I hope it has already started). F35 will be old when Greece purchases them. They will need upgrades.
@@captaingreek the greek will eventually buy it...the more you upgrade an old plane the more expensive and the more maintenance heavy it is.
@@captaingreek I did write eventually did I not?
Why everyone so exciting dont understand, now there is no need dogtfigh bcs the most important thing is your radar and your Air to Air missile . Dogfight just used 15 years ago ...
