    THE 5700XT! THAT’S MY BOY!
Personally I love that card. Got it for 80€ on EBay, works perfectly and actually overclocks pretty well thanks to its beefy cooler. Yes it might not have raytracing but it’s kinda wonderful as a card

I snagged a 5700XT (MSI Armor?) from my friend who said it "crashed" all the time. After taking off the heatsink, it was apparent that either MSI or someone else handled this card so poorly, that the thermal pads were not installed on the VRAM in the right spot.
After fixing that, I ran the card into the ground. After two applications of Kryonaut, the hotspot on the card still hit over 90C, and it ended up artifacting almost 2 years into it's purchase date.
Bought a 3070Ti Refurbished from MicroCenter and have never had to even work the fan speed. Love it to death for the 300USD I paid for it.
TLDR The 5700XT was KNOWN to have absolute trash models. If you didn't get a mangled card from the factory, it was great. But in my experience it was about 3 out of every 10 5700XTs I ended up repairing were from terrible heatsink design.

I wouldn't have guessed it was possible for a Pascal generation dGPU with a dedicated framebuffer could be slower than an iGPU.
Thankfully, at least on paper, the P620 looks like it's about 2x as fast as a P400.

    Another general tip for RDNA1:
DXNAVI (official since 23.7.2 on RDNA1) boosted DX11 (and DX10) performance A LOT on 5700 XT. So if a game is generally CPU bound, like most Unreal Engine 4 games, absolutely use DX12 for best performance.
However if a game is generally GPU bound, like Control or Metro Exodus and it has a DX11 option, usually you'll see some ~10 fps more on DX11 than on DX12.
Also ReBar increases VRAM usage exponentially and usually performance degrades. Best case scenario, boosts fps by 3-5 fps in very, very few titles. Not worth it given it mostly degrades performance across most other games.

There's no question that both the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT were the best GPUs of that generation. Sure, they couldn't do ray-tracing but RT is still irrelevant for the most part even today. The RX 5700 XT cost the same as an RTX 2060 but performed like an RTX 2070. I personally know how great this card is because I still own an XFX THICC-III version of it.
The first card I bought was an XFX Triple-Dissipation (because I don't see the point in paying more for the "top-level" version of ANY card) and there were hardware issues with it. It caused power-off resets (something that drivers can't do) and so I RMA'd the card. To their credit, XFX replaced it with a THICC-III (the high-end model) and I noticed that instead of an 8+6-pin connector, it had the full 8+8. My guess is that the 8+6 wasn't enough.
I knew for sure that it wasn't drivers because when I popped out my first RX 5700 XT to send to XFX for RMA, I popped in my old Sapphire R9 Fury Nitro without re-installing the drivers and all instability immediately ceased. Again, without changing the drivers, I popped in the replacement 5700 XT and everything was fine.
All of the people whining about drivers just didn't know what they were doing. That's why no reviewers were able to duplicate the problems that people were claiming. Either they had a hardware problem like I did or they don't know the proper way to install a new video card (especially when changing brands). It's not as simple as a lot of people think, this is high-end tech after all and while it's not rocket science, it's also not playing with lego.
