hiya jamie! saw this design on a pin, and I think its a wonderful project for these hot summer days! thanks so much for sharing the different variations!
I love this design so much 😍thank you for teaching me! ❤️ I made one and completely missed the cross knot sealing the bottom so I tried again today and it came out FLAWLESS🤩I'm truly so thankful for this video❤️I'll be making 4 more for my fam and I for our hikes in Hawaii. 😁
Thank you! ❤ Beautiful work. I just finished mine! We are heading to Mexico for spring break/as a babymoon and I didn't want to carry a water bottle around all the time to stay hydrated, but also didn't want to wear a backpack and get hot! So cute!! I added 20% to each measurement to fit my 40oz bottle. I just barely had the length to complete, so i would suggest adding 25%.
Thank you so much. I made one for my son. All the instructions are very clear except towards the end where you make the triangle by opening up some knots. I couldn't do that. I am a beginner at macrame and this was my first project. But the design of the bottle is very friendly- it is drawstring, there is a base, and the length of the strap can be adjusted. Thank you so much.
Hi! Thank you so much for your appreciation. I'm so humbled to know you considered my tutorial to be your first project. I hope it helped you a lot. I opened 3 knots at a time (triangle) in forming the base. I hope you were able to slow it down and follow along. Cheers! ♡
I also am struggling with the base. Mine looks a mess! I can't understand how to finish it. All scratty ends! Shame I got this far and unable to finish it.
This looks so good! I've never done macramé before but would like to have a go... Am I correct in thinking that this project would use 30m of rope altogether? That just seems like a lot and I want to check that I've not missed something important before i buy the rope 😊
So good! Im trying to make it for my bottle that is 31cm in length and 9cm in diameter with a 5cm and 4cm cord sizes. Any clue on how I can adjust the measurements?
I love the design but am a bit confused by the cord size as you state 4mm is used in the description then 3mm in the beginning of the video. Which should I be using for the main bottle holder as mine seems to be smaller than the measurements you say for the bottle size. Thanks!
Hi, I love this pattern and your clear instructions and modelling. I am running a stall for a school charity event and we will be selling all of these materials. I wondered if you would be happy for us to direct people to your You Tube channel for how to make these to give them ideas? All proceeds are for a local wildlife charity.
I love the design, however I can’t seem to get the bottom quite right. I’ve attempted and taken it apart 3 times and now my cord is fraying at the end. I don’t think I’m doing the triangle thing correctly, but I just don’t know. 😣
It's so easy! So there should be a total of 12 knots all the way around the bottom line. Take 2 apart on the bottom row and one above them between. Then skip on knot on the bottom and unknot 2 more next to it, then one above those two as done previously. Keep doing that 2 more times and you should have your equal triangles. Hope that helps!
I struggled with it too lol. What helped me was putting a pin at every three knot triangle (leaving one knot between each triangle) to make sure my placement was right before going ahead and unknotting them.
Hi, i love watching your videos ❤️ Can i ask, how long do i need the ropes to be when making holder for a 1.2 liters tumbler? Diameter: 3.8" Height: 11.2"
Hello Mandy! Thank you for your question. Yes, no need glue. The knots at the bottom are strong enough to withstand the weight of the bottle and its content. :)
Consegui fazer apesar de ter feito menor as carreiras das laterais pra dar certo na minha garrafinha. Não é difícil, coloca numa velocidade menor que você entende a sequência.
Hello! Melanie, thank you for asking. Bottle size in the video has a height of 22cm and a base diameter of 7cm. This design best fit 500-700ml bottle with a height of 18-24cm and a base diameter of less than or equal to 7cm.
@@SilentKnot If you convert to inches 7cm in 2.75 inches that is way too small. Even a regular plastic store bought water bottle is larger than that. I don't think 7 cm is correct at all
Saw this post on Pinterest and here is the tutorial! Thank you so much I really appreciate you sharing your expertise and knowledge!
Tô boba com tanta sabedoria muito lindo ,obrigada por compartilhar
Just finished mine, kinda lost finishing the bottom, but finally it closed 😂 great tutorial, thank youuu so much!!!

Love this - thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much Debbie! 🤗♥️
Una maravilla!!!
Really appreciate it! 🤗♥️😍
How many centimeters tall and wide will a bottle fit in?
I love the design but the video is quite fast. Don't think I could follow it. Can it be made as long in length as needed?
Can you do this all with 3mm string? Or is 4mm absolutely necessary for the strap please?
I did it with all 3 mm and it turned out fine
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Diameter: 3.8"

Thank you so much! That means a lot to me. ♡♡♡ I suggest adding 20% more on the length of cords provided. Hope this helps. :)
You don't need to glue the square knot ends that you cut for the inside of the bottom part?
Hello Mandy! Thank you for your question. Yes, no need glue. The knots at the bottom are strong enough to withstand the weight of the bottle and its content. :)
bottom part is impossible
That’s what I thought 😭 this is too hard for me, I need a very low video explaining how to do it 😭😭
I agree. It's very hard to see. I just improvised and made up my own
il faut mettre la vidéo au ralenti peut être et un peu de concentration 😂
Consegui fazer apesar de ter feito menor as carreiras das laterais pra dar certo na minha garrafinha. Não é difícil, coloca numa velocidade menor que você entende a sequência.
Hermoso
Would it be OK if I make the whole thing with 4mm rope?
Hi Jessica, thank you for watching! 💖 Absolutely, I just happen to have 4mm and 3mm at the time of making and wanted to use both for this project.
btw, I suggest to add few more cm (20% more) with the measurements provided as you’ll be using a thicker cord for the body.
❤
What size is the bottle?
Hello! Melanie, thank you for asking. Bottle size in the video has a height of 22cm and a base diameter of 7cm. This design best fit 500-700ml bottle with a height of 18-24cm and a base diameter of less than or equal to 7cm.
