  • Pakorn Sakyothin demonstrating his unique ability to merge Muay Thai styles seamlessly and (seemingly) effortlessly (ปกรณ์ ศักดิ์โยธิน).
    In my opinion, Pakorn is right up there with legendary fighters such as Chamuekpet Hapalang in terms of his ability to adapt his style to out-match an opponent. Both extremely well-rounded fighters with incredible straight knees from distance.
    Pakorn has beaten the best of the best in Muay Thai including Sagetdao Petpayathai, Jomthong Chuwattana, Nong-O Kaiyanghadaogym, Pornsanae Sitmonchai, Saeksan Or. Kwanmuang, Singdam Kiatmoo9, Petpanomrung Kiatmuu9, Penek Sitnumnoi, and Kongsak Sitboonmee.

    *Which fighters do you believe are the most well-rounded?* Personally, I'm not a big believer that every fighter must be well-rounded or even that adaptable; most Thais play out their A-game in every fight until they feel the need to change their approach. However, there are a few fighters who can do just about ANYTHING. I think Pakorn is up their with the likes of Chamuekpet Hapalang when it comes to adaptiveness and well-roundedness; he is strong, quick, powerful, aggressive, technical, tough, durable, well-conditioned, and, like Chamuekpet, his straight knees make me jealous every time I have the privilege of watching him compete.

    I lived and fought over in Thailand for about 14 years and I try to explain to people just how strong these little guys are, they train for hours and hours 6 sometimes 7 days a week, when you do clinch work with them they have so much strength for their size and the stamina to go with it.

    I m not a super expert, but I also think Pakorn is probably the best chameleon in the game.
    He can fight in every style you can imagine, no matter size or age.
    It s a sweet mix of Nong O and Pornsanae, he can fight everybody

    Pakorn is the most overlooked/underrated MT fighter in the modern era. He belongs up there with the likes of Superbon, Rodtang, Petchpanomrung, Tawanchai, etc. Speed, grace, technique, IQ, grit... he's got it all.

  • @A_RayChan_Joint
    @A_RayChan_Joint 3 года назад +11

    Pakorn can be very technical at times, he's got a nice entry he does with his arms to allow him to throw a clean knee, he mixes his defensive guard from traditional to Dracula/long guard. Sweeps are on point too. He does get drawn into fire fights too, where he'll stand there and bang with you, eg vs Pornsanae.
    He was one of my favorites to watch, technical and aggressive, his breathing was always the most unique, but I think it helps regulate his rhythm and output.
    I also heard he was a bit of thug outside of the ring, which adds to his badassness.
