Artificer Armorer could be good for the Predator, along with some Ranger Hunter levels. Armorers get two options for their magical armor, one heavy for melee and one lighter for infiltration. They can use infusions to replicate weapon bond and they also get spells for energy based weapons.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the current artificer. I love the flavour and customizability but the fact that literally all of them use some kind of pet feels a bit strange. The alchemist feels underwhelming and I feel like they should have made the Archivist in a very different way, with less psychic damage and more skills and although the Battlesmith has a lot of stuff, I feel like it's got to much going for it compared to the other subclasses. I also think the Artillerist should get something along the lines of the thunder cannon instead of the special wand.
I find that bugbear better reflects the predator in D&D. Also, straight gloomstalker provides all you need to imitate 85% of a predator's abilities. Fighter is not really worth taking past the first 2, maybe 3, levels.
yeah I had the same thought as bugbears are brutish but unexpectedly stealthy hunters, the mini sneak attack they get on surprise is very predator, and their extra 5ft reach on melee would work great for the extending weapons the predators use
The tavern brawler feat for the bombadier/ alchemist can also help with attacking with a lit torch, 1 point fire damage and maybe club damage if DM is nice. Oil soaked net or whip too? love your character backgrounds and stories, great writing and presentation man, bravo, encore!
About the armour stealth thing, I currently play a Cleric that utilises Medium Armour and when I know we're going to need to be stealthy, I swap from a set of Half Plate into a Breastplate. The -1 to AC is completely worth the ability to sneak past encounters, so its a useful tool that I consider at the end of every long rest. Anywho, great video fam, glad you're back from your break :)
Dip one level forge cleric for flavor hatori hanzo on that sweet samurai. And aarakocra grander character sounds like fun. Great ideas m8. I'd like to see unconventional pirates I made a gith monk warlock based on piccolo or lord slug from dbz.
I hear you when you mentioned that the samurai feels like it falls short for what it's trying to achieve and went to look at actual Eastern references, but in the unearthed arcana where the samurai appeared with the knight and sharpshooter, there was a note regarding their direction in creating both the knight and samurai and it was noted in the arcana that the inspiration is from pop culture rather than historical sources. Not that I disagree with what you're pointing out, but thought I'd mention that little tid bit anyway.
Bugbear would be a better race for the Yautja(Predator) In my opinion. For the build though I went more with a scout type Predator with lvl 14 Artificer Armorer and multi classed with lvl 3 Ranger Gloom Stalker and lvl 3 Rogue Assassin. And I had a lot of fun with this build though some of you might have better builds.
Love these series and am trying to do a bardlock who is a duel wielder. Have been looking all over the place to learn the rules behind holding two weapons and spell casting but it seems all over the place. I know it might not be the most efficient character but I’m really set on doing a hexblade warlock/college of sword bard (believe me I know this isn’t the best character for fighting but I just love bards too much). Seems like I need to take pact of the blade and war caster as a feat to be able to cast spells while holding swords but that’s kinda where I get confused. Can’t I just put my weapons away to cast and then take them back out when going to make an attack? If that’s the case wouldn’t it be much better to take the dueling feat so I can take nicer weapons into battle? Thanks for the help if you see this!
Firbolg Figther Scout lv5 and Druid Spores to max ,,,, shield master feat ,,,, Specialized in sneak attack and tanking ,dealing damage just by standing (spore abillitie) but his neutral evil something bad happend an he is a DragonSlayer all dragon types. Calm and Reasonable but in a Dragon presence Savage and Precise...
I do think that he might have missed taking 3 in rogue for the Iaijutsu as the Assassins sneak attack on anyone who hasn't gotten to act yet, seems to be a reasonable add on for that move.

I once made a samurai fighter, I went full battle master and just flavoured my attacks.
Half-elf
Samurai mainly, with bard (college of swords), and 1 level of warlock for hexblade.
Great persuasion, great with a sword, and fun to play.
Really liked the alchemist. How about combining it with monk for extra mobility and unarmed attacks?
