Is this flashing spinning Lego thingy floating in thin air? Well… sort of! Let’s see how it works.
If you want to make your own levitating fidget gadget, all you’ll need is some Lego, and some countersunk neodymium magnets. It takes a little balancing, but ultimately, these are relatively easy to make.

Two things, this channel is super underrated and deserves more subscribers, and secondly, could you provide a link to the lights if they weren’t homemade.

Thanks, really appreciate it! I had a quick look, but I can't seem to find them anymore. I'm pretty sure I got them on amazon a while ago - worth looking there or on AliExpress

Could you possibly use this to spin the crank on a Lego generator?
It probably wouldn't produce much, but it might be a neat idea to increase total overall output from the generator by having something continuously spinning it.

You could indeed. Though anything with a significant power draw would produce quite a bit of drag. Probably fine for some low powered LEDs though. Tom Stanton made a beautiful levitating flywheel generator like this

Hm nice nice. One thing that could make it look nicer, maybe, is to use tension on some string on right instead of drilling into liftarms? :) could probably use friction-less pin to hook up string to some fixed hole, and then it's just a matter of attaching it sensibly to spinners axle. if string is thin/and or transparent, could be almost invisible!

That's actually a fantastic idea - might reduce a bit of friction too. Like you said, maybe some thin fishing line would make it almost invisible! Cheers for the idea - I'll definitely give it a try as there's an upgraded version of this I'll be building soon.
