If only Johnny and Willie would have performed together for several years on albums and concerts! They made magic with their unique individual style and voices. I would have seen them every time they came to town.

I never liked CW music as a young person, but after I suffered a few "heart breaks and sadness in life" all of a sudden I could damn near write the songs, and I have loved them ever since.

I dont understand how Johnny Cash was so popular. I didnt think he was that good. He seems to talk more than sing his songs. I like Willie though.

      Everybody loves Willie.
While Cash of course was great, he´s also overrated.
He knew how to create that "persona" around himself, which is a big part of his fame.

Johnny Cash is a legend. He had a beautiful deep voice and his songs always told a story. Some of his songs were real hits at the time (like Walk the line and Cry cry cry).
