      Thank you for the video, very helpful. I'm trying to install a factory backup cam, but I can't find the harness for it. Would you know where to find something like that?

    I really like the way you show exactly how to release all of the clips and even use close up to make sure everyone can see where and what youre pushing on. Great video with great step by step instructions. Make some more video's on sonata repairs. I will certainly use them! Thanks

    I watched your video to see how to change out my rubber trunk handle switch on a Genesis 2015 sedan. Your video really helped. Only difference is i had a backup cam, so i had to disconnect the wire, unscrew the cam (4 small screws), but it all was basically like how you did.
    Nice Work!!!

    Thank you sir. It is crazy how much the dealer wanted to charge me just to remove and install a new one. What a racket.

    Thank you, I bought a car with a handle missing most of the plastic right where your fingers grip. Mine has a backup camera too, but I am sure it is just an extra plug to remove. Thanks!!!

    Thanks for the great video. I ordered the OEM part which you suggested. I found the switch on Amazon. It shipped from Korea in 4 days. I spent 45min on the install. Best wishes to you and your family. This saved me lots of money, and let me avoid the hassle of taking the car to the shop for a day.

    Very helpful. I used this video to replace my 2015 hyundai Sonata backup cam that is built into the trunk handle. Some helpful tips for others..I found the clips very difficult to push in. I ended up just popping off most of them. Also, I had a license plate cover that was blocking the handle from coming off. Thanks so much for the video!

    Great tutorial on changing outside trunk release. Is this the same process for a 2015 Genesis? Can’t seem to find a video on that. Thx

    Hey OP, why not just pop the handle off instead of removing the inner lining?

    • @teomingern
      @teomingern Год назад +1

      Yes... I watched this and replaced my own 2016 Sonata LF boot release handle as well. After taking out the boot cover lining and trying to press down the silver metal clips to slide the whole handle assembly out, I realized that I didn't have to remove the boot cover lining. The whole assembly could be prised out from the outside by using a suitable plastic tool or putting cloth over a metal screwdriver and prising it out slowly. The clips are basically spring clips so if you can push the whole assembly in, you can simply prise it out. My car also had the reverse camera unit. The whole camera unit is attached to the handle assembly with 4 small screws. Taking them out and putting them back was a pain. Remember to clean the outer lens cover of the reverse camera. Note: reverse camera = back up camera (US parlance)

    I have a 2016 Tucson can't seem to pry it out, there's no access from the inside panel since it's behind a sheet metal so there is no way to remove the clips from the inside. Tried prying it out from the outside but the plastic seems to to breaking, didn't want to break it entirely. Any thoughts?
