@@lorenzocano6309 you just pull the last thread through and cut the excess. Nike likes to tape the ends of the thread onto the strobel board but you can just put them to the side and put the insole on top
I've been wanting to fix the toe cap on my 3, and 4 to make them swoop down like the OGs. Probably should leave it to a professional. Great tutorial though! I dig the process
I made soleswap on my 3s but when You reglue your shoes it's looks really different than on Your video. You must to prepare for twisted stitching inside the shoes and after You pull out the thread to outside needle can be on wrong side, not right side like You wish. Anyway i appreciate Your videos like always ✌️
If you’re looking at older videos on my restoration playlist it definitely needs an update. The methods used were that from probably 4-5 years ago when I first started on RUclips. Stuff is more fine tuned by now as far as methods and thread but this particular video isn’t far off on how to correctly restitch sneakers.
So I'm guessing you're just doing a simulated stitch then. The Jordan iii actually secures the elephant print to the shoe with each stitch. It will be hard but I think it's worth doing right so the shoe has the proper strength.
i had a pair of jordan 1s sole swapped. the guy did it in 3 days! Now Im just being paranoid but, how can i tell if he really restitched the soles on? what if he only reglued? is there any signs to look for?

Ahmad Al-Syoof this is the only video I have explaining how the stitching works in a shoe. Should be universal so you know exactly how to restitch. The thread to use is explained in the video otherwise you can grab some thread at a store like Michael’s or Hobby Lobby and get some wax. They sell it all there.
@@mjo23dan Lord I wish you would had told me before i bought the one on your amazon link. This is not for Sneaker toe cap man. You need to change your post. This is too small brother.. You killed me. This will confuse first time customizers
I'm not a sneaker dude. I'm a marine canvas and upholstery dude. I'm super impressed with how far the sneaker scene has come. Props!
Great tutorial. I've always wanted to know how that was done.
What do you do when you get to the very last stitch? How do you finish it off and secure the stitches.

...if you're using nylon thread... you could just burn the end of the thread (instead of cutting it) so it doesn't fray.
nylon polyester thread

How do you knot it when you reach the end?
You need to mark where you began. That’s when you’ll know where the end is and then you just cut the thread and place them inside the shoe

Not sure how you do this with the top over the sole. Seems you would need a hook awl to facilitate the blind stitch.
You can actually work from the inside / out if it seems difficult going outside / in. Just reverse the method shown
A classic! Thanks for resposting
I love your video and I just fix shoes to
is this tool for sale?
Please see the description of the video for the link
Mashallah 👍 is a nice job to learn a craft as some people do it 👌 The prophets, peace be upon them😊

What I’m showing is what you’d actually do when you stitch the upper to the sole.
Can this work for Rick Owen ramones?

Yeah. Remove the insole and see if it’s stitched through the leather on the inside
Looking forward to some restoration videos 👀👀
Where do I get the tool?

Very good tutorial....

Thanx for educating! Ur vids are the 💣
I always thought that the sole stitching was part of the way the shoe and sole stayed together, is it strictly for looks or does it serve a purpose?
It serves its purpose
@@mjo23dan which is what??
To keep the shoe together. It’s not just for looks. It serves a purpose.
Most shoes aren’t constructed like the 1 these days which is why the 1 has stood the test of time.
Where do you get the string?

Thank you brotha
What would you do when you get to the end
Use barge infinity cement to glue the upper to the sole. The stitch work is the last step
@@mjo23dan nono im talking about the end of the stitching
You just tuck the rest of the threading underneath the insole with a little tape.
@@mjo23dan Ah I see thanks!
Very nice video!
thanks for the video, I got useful knowledge in this video. Greetings from me
great video man!! def helped me out
Where can i buy the threads.
There’s a link to my Amazon store in the description. Once you click that, navigate to restoration projects and you’ll see thread listed
Can you please link me to the stitching or thread itself?
Should be in the description
MJO23DAN it’s just a link to the sewing awl or other restoration products. I’m not sure of the size thread to buy for Jordan 1s

It's a good. Shame that it didn't included how to secure the stitch at the end. It would be better IMO.
Great vid
Preciate you homie!
Thanks a lot for real
You make wrong direction . You cant do it on a real shoes. And i wonder how you make a tie at the end. Your needle is closed loop not opened.
Can’t wait until you make a video 😉
@@mjo23dan yr vedio is good but seems wrong. imagine that if there is a real shoe, you can try it if possible.
It’s not wrong. The tie at the end is why you need extra length. It’s simple and then you tape down the rest on the strobel board.
