well said, I was bought up Catholic, then I found the bible which in my day was forbidden for us plebs to read and the truth hit me. She would indeed have had other children, you have to understand the Jewish culture where a blessed woman had many children and God would have blessed her. the use of the term brothers, or sisters, was regularly used in writings of the time to refer to followers, close friends ect, which is why Theologians have always agreed that it is impossible to know how the scriptures should be interpreted in this issue.

You really need to examine the scriptures yourself instead of letting a priest with something to lose telling you lies. I mean the Bible clearly states that idolatry is an abomination yet Catholics do that daily when they pray to saints. The ONLY intercessor you need is Jesus Christ. You can, as a child of God, go to Him yourself and don't need a priest as a go between either. The idea that you need someone to be a go between you and Jesus is absurd. Why don't you read the Gospels before you make erroneous and false comments. Mary became pregnant with the Holy Spirit before she married Joseph. She was already betrothed to Joseph when she became pregnant. Although he faced embarrassment because of Mary's pregnancy he still married her in obedience to God's instructions. What most people tend to overlook is that Jesus had other siblings from Mary and Joseph's union. Catholics claim that Mary died a virgin when it was farther from the truth. Contrary t what Catholics claim, Mary and Joseph produced other children after the birth of Jesus. This fact was also mentioned in the Bible which Catholics choose to ignore in order to support their narrative that Mary died a virgin and was thus sinless which is of course not true. Only Jesus Christ lived a sinless life. He alone was God's perfect sacrifice for Man's salvation. The Bible states in the Epistle of Paul to the Romans - No one is righteous, not one. For all (referring to all people) have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ.

So, Mary did not "forever" remain a virgin, for only up until Jesus birth was she a virgin, fulfilling Isaiah 7:14 and what is seen at Matthew 1:18-25, but after Jesus birth, she had sexual relations with her husband Joseph and gave birth to at least four sons and two daughters, and at least two of her sons, James and Jude, were privileged to write a portion of the Bible.

well said, I was bought up Catholic, then I found the bible which in my day was forbidden for us plebs to read and the truth hit me. She would indeed have had other children, you have to understand the Jewish culture where a blessed woman had many children and God would have blessed her. I know I was from pre vatican two and things have changed but I thank my Lord Jesus that I found the truth and. the truth set me free. Perhaps you have heard of William Tyndale (1492-1536 C.E.), when Catholic Bishop Cuthbert Tunstall (1474-1559 C.E.) of London had a "Bible-burning" in October 1526 C.E. at Cheapside, London, of Tyndale's New Testament, the first "Bible" published (at Worms, Germany) into English from Greek.
Tyndale had tried three years earlier, in 1523 C.E., to solicit Bishop Tunstall's support for it, but was rebuffed by him, in which Cuthbert Tunstall followed "the Constitutions of Oxford", that included a 1408 C.E. synod forbidding any Bibles to be published, a person to have or even read in any "vulgar" languages, except by permission of the bishop.
The 1408 synod made this decision: "We therefore decree and ordain, that from henceforward no unauthorised person shall translate any part of the holy Scripture into English or any other language . . . under the penalty of the greater excommunication, till the said translation shall be approved either by the bishop of the diocese, or a provincial council as occasion shall require.”

the use of the term brothers, or sisters, was regularly used in writings of the time to refer to followers, close friends ect, which is why Theologians have always agreed that it is impossible to know how the scriptures should be interpreted in this issue.

You really need to examine the scriptures yourself instead of letting a priest with something to lose telling you lies. I mean the Bible clearly states that idolatry is an abomination yet Catholics do that daily when they pray to saints. The ONLY intercessor you need is Jesus Christ. You can, as a child of God, go to Him yourself and don't need a priest as a go between either. The idea that you need someone to be a go between you and Jesus is absurd. As His child you have the right to go to the Father yourself...

No where in the Bible does it say for him to not have more children with her. A little common sense should come into play here.

Why don't you read the Gospels before you make erroneous and false comments. Mary became pregnant with the Holy Spirit before she married Joseph. She was already betrothed to Joseph when she became pregnant. Although he faced embarrassment because of Mary's pregnancy he still married her in obedience to God's instructions. What most people tend to overlook is that Jesus had other siblings from Mary and Joseph's union. Catholics claim that Mary died a virgin when it was farther from the truth. Contrary t what Catholics claim, Mary and Joseph produced other children after the birth of Jesus. This fact was also mentioned in the Bible which Catholics choose to ignore in order to support their narrative that Mary died a virgin and was thus sinless which is of course not true. Only Jesus Christ lived a sinless life. He alone was God's perfect sacrifice for Man's salvation. The Bible states in the Epistle of Paul to the Romans - No one is righteous, not one. For all (referring to all people) have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ.

The first thing to know is that her name was NOT ''Mary' - there are NO 'MARYS' in the Holy Scriptures. 'Mary' is NOT a Hebrew name, and no Jewish mother would name her daughter 'Mary'. These so called 'Marys' that people keep insisting upon addressing these females as are 'Myriam' - her, and the other ladies are called 'Myriam - NOT Mary!
