When I started playing Coral Island, I collected a bunch of items while running around, and my limited inventory made me worry that I'd sell something important for space. This video is really helpful (especially since I tend to sell things and regret it later). Thank you for the amazing tips!
I feel like right now, it’s just best to keep anything if you’re uncertain about it - because it could become SUPER useful in a future update!! that’s what I’m doing anyway! Thanks so much for watching!! I’m glad you found this helpful
I’m hoping that will be what we access/unlock with the cellar key eventually!! And/or a storage shed as a farm building would be great!! thanks for watching!!
This is helpful advice. Btw, one of the shells foraged from the Beach is used in crafting a unique type of fertilizer for crops. I reccomend not selling that shell. It is the only sea shell used in crafting. I also reccomend avoiding selling troves, geodes, and fossils. I know it's tempting, since they are worth some cash, and sometimes they contain things that aren't worth it, but most of the time the content is worth it. So even if you have found every possible type of treasure in them, the treasure sells for more than those items. Heck, even Ore and Kelp is more valuable than the Geodes, Troves, and Fossils themselves. I know getting trash and stones is disappointing, but it's also better to risk a slight chance of getting that for the great payouts possible.
Hi! I am new to this channel. I just started playing Coral Island on Sunday and I am loving it! I found your channel after typing Coral Island in the search bar. I'm sure I've watched all of your content completely out of order, but you're really helping me get it together from the beginning. Thank you so much for your help and your awesome content!!!
So, from a brand new player, I have to ask - if I shouldn't sell basically anything I've got already... what _should_ a new player be selling to get money? Also... what do I eat? I'm getting reluctant to use all my seeds in candy.
@@HeadHunterSix I always sell bugs after I’ve made sure that I’ve donated and offered them. You can make bug jerky with low quality bugs and then sell the rest. I also sell all the mushrooms I get in the first spring. You can use them for recipes later but it’s so easy to run around the island and collect a bunch of mushrooms and then sell them. And it doesn’t even take stamina to do so. Bonus points if you’re collecting bugs while running around and getting mushrooms.
I recently started playing Coral Island and really appreciate all your guides and videos ☺️ I just want to give you a side note that “Titan Arum” is pronounced “Tie-tan Air-um” not “tee-tan a-room”. It’s titan, as in “greek gods and the titans” 😉
It may sound weird, but would you consider making a video about things on the island that are TBD? I never know if I'm just overlooking something I'd need to do or if it's just not implemented in the game.
Fantastic Video! Going to save this so I don't forget and can refer back when I want to sell something I'm unsure of. Appreciate all you do for this community!
Another reason to keep stone is that you can use them to make rope to skip a level of the mines - super handy if you're at the end of your stamina and just need one more level to unlock an elevator stop
Just recently subscribed to your channel! Just wanted to "Thank You" for all of the wonderful Coral Island videos you have. Just got my backer key a few days ago and I was feeling lost because I didn't play very long in Alpha or EA because I was waiting for the console release. Your videos are the most helpful and easy to understand out of all the ones I have found.
I recently started the game (couple days ago) and someone recommended your page so helpful and easy to understand thank you so much i will end up binge watching them all haha and making notes 😅
I was so excited to play early release since I became a backer but after playing it a few days I stopped and am waiting now full full release because I know I will be tired of it by the time that comes around, based on past experience, but am loving following your gameplay and tips until then. ☺
I totally respect and love that you know yourself well enough to approach playing this game in the best way possible for you!! thanks soo so much for still supporting content in the meantime!!
watching this tips make me realize more that All items that categorized as "SOURCES" shouldn't be sold no matter what. And also small tips is that I just found myself, "Keep all the Shell/Clams" so that if you planning to plant some crops but the time isn't enough untill end of month, you can skip around 1-3 days using Flash I - III from seedlings phase.
I sell everything once to get the price metadata (think rune factory), but wholeheartedly agree. I found out the trash thing the hard way 🙃You speak only the truth lol
After the ocean update, getting trash is also a lot easier! But coming from Stardew Valley, I've learnt that you hoard EVERYTHING lol And yes, makes sense. Donate all your items first and offer them first, then you are free to sell for money. I made the mistake once of selling a fig I picked up and barely managed to collect another before the season was over.
4:55 omg I’m so jealous of how you’re planting things lol I’m using a controller and man is it annoying. This looks way more easy and stable. Thanks for the suggestions btw! I just started the game and I’m poor lol But will try and keep as many of these as I can.
As someone who played lots of farming. RPG. Cozy games. I don’t sell what I know is valuable. This game is mixed of. Standew valley, ACNC, dragon quest builders 2 except the building part. But I’d say this is heavily like stardew but better ghrapics, and lots of implemented in the game. Which is I love it. Might be mixed with rune factory as well. I’m loving it.
@@KiwiKamea exactly if you are not a fan of pixel game. You will really love this game, but the good part on SDV is it’s easily to download mods on PC and have so much fun playing it again.
Just started playing! Is there any chance you’ll do an update video for this or other Coral Island topics? So much seems to be uncertain here that I imagine has been sorted out since 1.0 launch. I’d love to hear if all the stuff you list either have new purposes or if they can actually be sold!
In My Time at Sandrock, it kind of bugs me how one minute I'm making berry jam in my blender, and the next I'm blending up some manure for fertilize, or some paint. Probably over thinking it.
Nice video! I started playing the game and currently I'm in my second season. What about gems? Is there any use or sign of future use for gems besides donating?
Yeah basicly dont sell anything source crafting material, some of it have spesific. So after get something new and bag full am going to lake altar after that going to museum, finally its safe for me sell it😅. From my stupid experience year 1 summer i got shark and yellow ell witch is both of them legendary and i just sell it 😅(yeah i catch it with silver rood, its take hours and my soul)
Hi whats your opinion on what to do before the release of the full game? I've copied the below paragraph from their website which states that essentially you'll only keep your gold from the Early Access saves. I am wondering if I should sell basically everything I own right before the full game comes out... Version 1.0 of Coral Island is a significantly different game from what it was at the start of Early Access a year ago, and we’ve made fundamental changes to the content, features, and so much more as a result of Early Access players’ feedback. Because of the scope of these changes, save games created during Early Access will not be compatible with v1.0 of Coral Island. When you move on to v1.0, players will retain all of the gold you earned during Early Access, which will carry over into the new “New Game Plus” mode
To any new people coming here, there are underwater areas that constantly spawn trash. It's a mini dungeon that has many rooms full of trash that constantly refresh. They are essentially like mines for trash.
Definitely one of the most useful videos you have created. I'm with Oracle. This is going into my library in my Coral Island folder so I can watch it again and again! You truly are such an inspiration and know exactly how to assist your community!
I treated higher quality crops like Stardew Valley and assumed that they would all process the same, so I would always process standard quality crops/ foaregables/flowers/etc and sell all higher quality stuff. I didn’t even think to test my mason jars… whoops. Hahahaha 😂
Hi everyone, when it's the update, do they let you know beforehand, do we have to sell everything? We need to know just so we don't end up left without resources.
I've been playing this game in Japanese (which I'm bad at, so maybe I missed an explanation) and I could not figure out how to equip bait...until now that I watched this video! I just assumed you couldn't use it now. Doh! The only thing I didn't try!
Not just the Japanese translation! I couldn’t figure it out either even looked online and didn’t find any explanation on how to use it. Stumbled across the spot in the inventory by chance!!!
So to sum it all up, don't sell any raw materials. I'm a hoarder in games like this anyway so I normally process anything as much as I can for the point I'm at in the game.
I just upgraded my house and I had several chests and a fireplace. So the steps were put behind these so I can't get up the steps. I have tried removing them but they are stuck there. Anyone else have this problem?
