He honestly had a better vocal tone back then but it has changed over the years where he is trying to push this more unique "tone" which is leading to him straining and cracking his voice to maintain it. He won't have any vocal growth this way. Their vocal coaches need to do something about it.
His natural voice is actually Low. During debut he was using his natural voice. Bts perfect man cover was one of jimins best live vocal to me

It seems like he might actually have a slightly deeper and smooth voice, but since he’s in charge of most of the high notes, he easily cracks and kinda lacks stamina. I think BigHit should let in take a break so it doesn’t harm his vocal cords.

For real. He is a human, not a robot. Mistakes don’t mean he can’t sing. Plus, Jimin always has the hardest choreography and his voice is very unique and is different to control than other voices. I’ve heard that lighter airy vocals are more difficult to control and are when most singers voices go off key.

Yeah same, I did respond to one out of anger Ina blind fit of rage but that was because of the fact someone used this as proof he couldn't sing. Coming from a year later (on era/ stay gold era) I have to say that jm has improved a lot. His voice is harder to control then others because his vocal range is generally higher. Def major improvement and one of my fav singers. Those saying that he doesn’t have technique r wrong now cause he works hard along with the rest of the members.

Jimin had to dance and sing one of the hardest parts of their songs. Suck it up haters.
looking at some comments, i feel bad for jimin. he works his ass off so he can deliver an amazing performance that he thinks armies deserve and you guys (some, not all) still criticize him for extremely common errors?! Voice cracks are completely normal and it can happen to every singer, and it probably has happened to every singer. what people need to understand is it's already hard enough to sing beautifully and reach every high/low note, belt, etc, but this guy also dances while he's doing that. I'll put it this way, try singing one of their songs hitting every note and riff while jumping and running around. it's hard, right? so cut him some slack, he has done nothing wrong and he isn't perfect so don't expect perfection. what he is doing is enough, and he is a human being, he makes errors believe it or not.

jimin has a soft thin voice which is really unique and pretty to listen to. the thing is, his vocal technique strains his voice a lot more than it should, i’m a jimin stan, but he seriously needs some vocal training as soon as possible. i love him and i’m always cheering him on but sometimes while i’m watching live stages i cringe really hard when he starts singing. if he had the proper training to use his voice to it’s full potential, goddamn we’d all be dead in a ditch crying over our untalented selves 😔✌🏼

What I want to say is jimin had the shortest training period , his debut was in a rush he couldn't get the correct or I must say the proper way of vocal training
After debut you know how busy the idols are
So in his career I guess he didn't find the right way to stabilise his amazing voice
Don't come at me I ain't saying he's a terrible singer and stuff
I've heard all the songs jimin has sung
I enjoy all of them , his voice is among the most unique I've heard , it's soothing....
But recorded songs and singing live is different
I blame the company for ignoring these mistakes in the initial stages , bighit should've done a better job guiding him to train his voice , coz it would've been something more unimaginable if it was trained the right rather than rushing and ignoring these small mistakes in the initial stages

He has this fear that me might not be good coz he worries the same
And in the recent suchwita episode with txt did u notice suga saying ow jimin was still practicing in the studio , all of these indicate one thing that he's afraid of showing his voice live or must I say , it feels like he didn't get the vocal lessons he deserved when needed and imagine not being a singer and debuting in a short span of time with no proper vocal training it'll surely affect in the future

Also Jimin has just one year practicing on bighit before debut.... Now Jimin is very inseccure about him voice... I think he is wonder about him voice and that him voice cracks... He's very tired... Him vocals it's tired... Him voice it's so beautiful, angelic and it's 7 years when he debut...and he sing and practice a lot everyday and he's so busy... He is the most instable in bts members... The most stable it's Jk, then rapline, V and Jin... He has the most voice cracks, the rest members had 10-15 voice cracks in 7 years+(when they come in bighit company) and Jimin has 30+ i think.... I love his voice cracks just like I love all of him. I think his voice cracks are some of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. Anyone who judges Jimin on his voice cracks are dumb, deaf, haters and not real armys. WE LOVE JIMINNNNN
