It may not be necessary to speak Tagalog in Miss Universe but it is valued here in our country, where in medias, camaras, interviews will most likely speak with her in native language and that’s the biggest challenge she has to surpass. We know native language isn’t really necessary but it shows deeper connections to our heritage, culture, traditions, and relatability. She might alienate judges who has deep roots to our history and that could challenge her aces. Regardless, i’m glad we have her and how we never ran out of high quality candidates to send off. She’s really sending radiations of presence into some beteranas and resurfacing candidates. Can a rookie defeat veterans? It’s a bloodbath in this 2024.
