Sheldon's mom leaves so much to be desired, but his dad might be one of the best TV dads ever. He doesn't understand his kids all that well, but he loves them all the same.
Although I’m definitely “Team George Sr.” I must respectfully disagree. Every member of the Cooper family was written as complex individuals, with plenty of faults but even greater positive attributes. The mother was overbearing, and too blind in her religious zealotry for my taste, but that motivation was based on her desire to prevent her kids from making the same mistakes she had made as a youth. She was a beautiful character, flaws and all.
@@scottt5400 Even in TBBT tbh, Her character actually really feels like she has many stories to tell despite the religious jargon... ^^'
In Mary I see my mum, there are many things that are illogical and don't make sense that she does, and sometimes are even hurtful, but I understand it all stems from her love for us and wanting to do good. Just like Sheldon's mom, she wants to be good for us, she might not know how or do it in the best way but she does it in a way she believes to be good. And sometimes, like Mary, a parent just has to be the person with authority and seem sure in their choice even if they aren't sure it is the best course of action to take. I love my mom and give in to her illogical stuff just like Sheldon does for Mary, which was lovely highlighted in the last season.
❤❤❤
Loves his children equally? His favorite is Georgie, Mary’s is Sheldon.. they left missy out
George didn’t get enough credit for being such a great dad. Top 5 TV dads for sure
Sheldon's dad was a true protector, always looking out for others. "Thanks for stopping by" was a warning in disguise, showing his readiness to defend.
Punched him so hard he hurt his own hand.
Also props to the son for standing his ground till the cavalry showed up.

Cavalry? Thats a crusade.
He was taught well!

Punching someone always hurts your hand 😂 tell me you’ve never thrown one without actually telling me

I kinda liked him in the young sheldon show, but its wildly different than what old sheldon portrayed him to be. Originally he was ab usive and alco holic and enjoyed making his family uncomfortable and i think he cheated on his wife too iirc. Im glad thats not what we saw but uhhh incongruences
Apart from that one library teacher 😂
@@julife.ka.3899thats what Sheldon said i think. And i can see how he would depict his father like this. We saw aspects of him he never saw, and don’t forget Sheldon has a weird world view/ doesn’t understand a lot of things.
@@Thep184 uhm, no, i toned it down quite a bit. he actually said stuff like his dad liked to show him dead raccoons as a joke to make him upset, that he was afraid he would unalive his mom, and that he would treat him with insults regularly (we can see that when he quotes his father whenever he wants to transmit any knowledge from his dad to Leonard). i know a neurodivergent person might misunderstand some stuff, but not that way. its actually shown that he brushes off the insults as normal because that was HIS normal interaction with his dad, and that's something you could read as a neurodivergent getting confused about the social aspect of the interaction
theres a bum sleeping on the porch had me on the floor like that guy lolll!!!

Never mess with a man who agrees with your threat 💀
THAT is the psychology I used to get out of almost every encounter with a bully in my life... I look at them right in the eyes and smirk when they try to start something. Then, when they get really nasty, I ask them... "I'm 5'8" and I am NOT scared of you, don't you think YOU should worry?"
It works 99% of the time. The other 1%, I usually outweigh the idiot by 25 pounds.
It's not that I can't fight, it's just that I HATE fighting. I'm 225 pounds and not fat, but short... I have a weird body, I guess... Tall guys and habitual bullies never notice stuff like that, they have some stupid ego thing that makes them think that anything shorter is easy picking.
In this case, it was ageism. The younger arsehole thought that the older guy was a target. JUST as dumb and ignorant.
NEVER start fights, you never know what you face. Looks can be very deceiving. And jail or civil lawsuits are pretty life-shattering.
