Sorry about the jump. I accidentally hit stop when I was trying to take a picture while recording. Either way, it was certainly odd seeing the signals in operation with a missing gate.

IIRC, NS just re-attached it to the gate mech and it remained there for at least a few more years until NS replaced it with a newer one (along with many other of the older gate arms along the line).

I believe that, that locomotive is actually an SD70ACE :). I hope that crossing gate gets fixed!

The crossing gate has been fixed. The lead engine was an SD70ACe, but the SD70MAC was trailing on the DPUs at 4:10.

Huh, surprisingly the mains to the gate lights is still connected.

The wire between the gate lights and the gate mechanism wasn't severed, so they were able to continue functioning.
