    - Start with e4 and e5, then play Bishop C4 (Bishop's Opening) [0:03-0:10].
    - Add a powerful attack to the Bishop's Opening by delaying kingside knight development [0:24-0:56].
    - Push pawn to f4 before developing the knight to f3 for a stronger kingside presence [1:02-1:21].
    - Exploit exchanges on f4 to develop your bishop and gain a central advantage [1:27-1:41].
    - Respond to opponent's Knight g4 with pawn f5 to seize space and target their knight [2:41-3:09].
    - Use Queen h5 to create a checkmate threat on f7 and bolster your attack [3:31-3:45].
    - Develop your pieces aggressively, using Bishop g5 to disrupt your opponent's queen [4:02-4:20].
    - Place your knight on d5 to intensify the attack against your opponent's king [4:27-4:35].
    - In the face of pawn to g6, recapture with the f-pawn to maintain pressure [8:00-8:21].
    - Utilize Bishop g5 to create a pin and exploit the absence of the g7 pawn [8:57-9:20].

I've been playing the Bishop's opening doing some of the rudimentary lines from Igor's video's from 2 years ago. I also started playing the Rousseau Gambit based on a suggestion from this channel. Only watching this video and the Bishop's Opening x King's Gambit video has made me realize how natural this opening will be for me to learn. The next thing for both of us to learn is the Vienna Gambit ;)

    • @Mahmoudery

      That's a great observation!!
Black suffers from back rank issues and there no moves for his rook. In best case scenarios, black would love to promote to a queen, however, white king comes closer and the black suffocates. H6 shuts down the only escape square for the king.

Hello GM Smirnov, I have to disagree with your move Rh8 on the puzzle. Here is the quickest straight line that I see for white to win:
    Rxf8+ Kxf8
Rf1+ Black King has to move Kg8
    Ke7 g6
h6 Black moves any piece, doesn't matter...
    Rf8 CHECK MATE
Thank you for all the great content. I used to play the Italian but now only play Bishop's opening. Happy New Year!

    • @damirfux2265
      @damirfux2265 Год назад

hello, I've tried your solution to see if you are right, but even though it looks amazing you have a mistake in calculation.
      Rxf8+ Kxf8
Rf1+ Black King has to move Kg8 -> so far so good,
but now you put "Ke7" and as a response to that black moves "g6"?! - why would he move that, that is a losing error, so black would play "h6"
after that white can trap black in h7 and try to mate him after a few moves by "Kf7 or 8" and "Rg7", but it just can't, black will always take the queen out and protect the mate!
      Let's get back...
      Rxf8+ Kxf8
Rf1+ Black King has to move Kg8
after that the only winning move for white is h6
In conclusion you had a good idea, you just executed it wrong, but basically yes - you proved Igor was wrong with his solution.
      Have a nice year everybody!
