I can seriously see the instrumental version of this lofi funk in a future game: after some months of rediscovering herself, Amy finds Sonic and he sees her as a much controlled hedgehog, who helps the heroes through her tarot knowledge; until she brings out the hammer.
"I do understand the feelings of a Persian cat. (The sphinx was so cute, I had to shave it.)" Persians are very fluffy, and therefore cute. Sphinx cats are bald, and therefore seen as uglier by some. Amy is saying that she wants to be the only cute one/sole competitor for Sonic's love, and will remove the allure (shave the Sphinx) from anyone else to do so. "He reminds me of parsley when he's standing there all alone." Parsley is a garnish for some dishes (I think?), so it makes the dish look better but is then picked off and put to the side. Similarly, Amy is saying that Sonic adds a lot to the group, but also works well on his own. Just thought I'd give some explanations for the...stranger...lyrics based on what I found in the comments of another video. This is a great version of this song! "Follow Me" was a great addition, and is a great song on its own too!
Actually the Sphynx line is talking about how Persian cats have mean looking faces but are actually big softies. Amy is saying she is good at understanding the feelings of people that seem mean or cold on the outside, and they just need to be shown some kindness. In SA1, Amy befriends Gamma, the killer robot. The second line is referring to breaking down people's outer walls to get to their vulnerable emotions, as sphynx cats are bald unlike Persian cats. Amy, for example, believes Sonic is simply hiding his feelings.

Cover is fire! It's really fits Amy, she bored of her regular lifestyle and just wanna go in adventure with Sonic. Then Eggman start attacking, Birdy appears, cheesing by Zero they escaped. Amy decided to help Birdy. Music shows examined and chill about something new in her life. Later she will listen and talk to her enemies to understand them and give them kindness, training to be stronger and better, using hammer to protect herself and others. And finally realize that she more than fan girl and create her own adventures. I'm really happy for that pink hedgehog. 💖🌹 (To sad that Sega rip her character development replacing aggressive, not caring trait that thinks only about Sonic with illogical trops and cliches)
