Except for having things checked out by qualified inidividuals the mechanicals of this beautiful place - would not change much else other than updating what really does need to be updated such as electrical, heating, A/C, plumbing, and then technology items such as security/camera systems perhaps. One primary goal would be getting it far more energy efficent as well "green" so to speak with an example being adding a fair amount of solar with battery systems/generator so as to get this more so "off grid". Heat pumps? If not much else was ever even used but is in good working condition - why waste $$$? Everyone who narrates as well as comments on these videos of the Evergreen Crystal Palace says it needs so much updating? To what? The latest "yuppie" trends? I think it is very gorgeous pretty much as is as well as unique plus even though it was built 30+ years ago was far far ahead of it's day back then. If any remodeling and to make it even more self-sufficent - use the first 3 floors for a boutique' higher end motel/hotel/resort and use the 4th floor for living quarters/offices on a personal/private basis is another thought but would not change anything any more than is necessary to keep everything as much as it is now and going forward.
