Crazy guess.. but what if the third descender is the sibling.. unless being compatible with all 7 elements is a universal trait that all descenders share.. The remains, basically parts of the body being extremely compatible to elements seems like it could exclusively be a sibling/twin thing… Not to mention the fact that the current sibling we know in the story isn’t counted as a descender but a person from teyvat by the irminsul… another guess but what if they died and were reborn into this world using it’s components.
The only reason I doubt this theory is that there is memory of the sibling within Irmunsul, thus making them part of Teyvat according to the Sumeru storyline. It would be inconsistent to count the twin as a descender then. That said, it is a very interesting take and I can see why you would think of it. Always fun seeing the different takes.

This is assuming that all life in teyvat, including the ones not from teyvat (descenders), will go back to the leylines (except for the ones cursed by heavenly principles to not go back there) and reincarnate like Neuvillette did. The problem is, where would the traveler fit in all of this? What I could speculate that the abyss sibling, as a Khaenrian prince/ss, remembering the traveler, tried to summon/find the traveler who was sleeping and was happy that they reunited, and somewhere along the way Khaenriah found forbidden knowledge and tried to use it (much to Pierro's warnings), the heavenly principles was angered and they and the archons have to deal with the abyss, and the twins tried to ran away but the sustainer caught up on them and caught the guilty twin who was probably heavily responsible for all those mess (based on Clothar's expression on finding the twin's identity), twin tries to find traveler again, and something happened to him/her along the way, on which s/he found the truth of the world and about themselves, which made him/her angry at the heavenly principles, cut ties with Dainsleif in the process, but their fate was obscured for some reason. But that's just my speculation, a game speculation.

Basically the Primordial one stole the power of the dragon sovereigns and stored it away and 400 years later he created humans, thousands of years later and right before the archon war, a third descender arrived and was killed (cause of death unknown) then the Primordial one used the third'a corpse to create the gnosis and placed the power that was stolen from the dragon sovereigns in the gnosises, and then had the many gods that romaed the land at the time to fight for them, in the end 8 gods won the war (Mikoto won alongside her twin sister Ei), and Seven gods were given the seven elemental gnosises becoming archons with Ei working as the shadow of her archon sister.

Skirk reveals having the Gnosis brings about misfortune for those who possess it and that extends to any around them. Makes you wonder what Tsaritsa plans to do with them aside from potentially opening a gateway to Celestia. The Heavenly Principles punished Egeria for creating life and playing god and thus sentenced them to damnation leading Focalors to fundamentally dismantling the Seven, so I am not surprised Tsaritsa intends to use the Gnosis to destroy Celestia herself. By the end of this series, I wouldn't be surprised if the Traveler not only has to face their sibling and the Abyss Order they lead, but also destroy the Heavenly Principles.

My theory is that the tsartisa's goals for the 7 gnosis is to ressurect the 3rd descender. The Mecha experiment by Dottore proven to be successful to harness a Gnosis power so with that breakthrough, they able to create another more powerful mecha to harness 7 gnosis and serve as a vessel for the 3rd descender to inhabit.

Her design alone is clue enough that she's not gonna be playable. How are they gonna make that design into a playable model, with all the articles on her. She'd need to change to a more simplified form/design first.

The only problem with that theory is that the game has constantly mentioned how the Tsaritsa has turned against Celestia is starting her own war against it. She lost her “Love” during the cataclysm when multiple Archons died. The only thing we don’t know is the exact reason she is rebelling against Celestia.
So they handed over their gnosis so they wont turn into a catastrophe when they die or so they can wake the heavenly principles to fight since the tsaritsa is probably related to khaenriah thats why she cut ties with all archons after the destruction

Probably will see him in snehznaya and neuvilette will come and tsaritsa will try and use the gnosis to give back all of the dragons their authority’s back
A Descender can use multiple elements without a Vision. An Archon and Sovereign only use element of their respective authority. And Gnosis are the remains of Descender's cursed power. Could it be Third Descender that brought Abyss and Forbidden Knowledge to Teyvat 500 years ago? And could Traveler be the only key to stop it since he is immune to Abyssal curse?

No it doesn’t feel like an act, everything about Paimon seems and feels genuine. It’s either she doesn’t know or remember who or what she is or she’s just hiding it but not so much as deceiving us in a bad way

Ok so here is a theory:- The third descender died and caused the incident of khanreah 500 years. The bonds he had to the world turned into curses and devoured the nation. Later his remains were used by Celestia to create catalysts called Gnosis. I believe it is forshadowing the death of our sibling in the future archon quests. Our sibling now has a bond with the world (fate is connected) and is trying to deceive their fate just like Focalore did. Thus they will die and their bond to the world will be severed. Our sibling's death will destroy monstand and the war against celestia will begin (the door to celestia lies at the feet of Venti's statue).

If the hydro gnosis is the remains of a descender does that mean the traveler is technically a gnosis? Does that mean every descender is a traveler? Call this a crack theory of sorts but what if every gnosis is just a failed time loop of iteration of the traveler(s)
I think 3rd descender, and most probably the traveler (4th descender) is a special case as their body is capable of storing elemental energy. 1st descender is probably primordial one and 2nd descender is the second who came who war with the 1st descender

In the Sumeru Archon Quest, Nahida says it does not seem like the other sibling is a descender, Im hoping the next Dainslef quest gives us answers.
