  • Today's adventure is like no other, I finally fulfill a life long goal of locating a pristine log cabin in the wilderness of British Columbia. Their locations are sworn in secrecy amongst the off-road community, due to concerns of vandalism. And rightfully so.
    I want to give a massive thank you to Adam for Showing me this beautiful location.
    My Jeep is 2019 JLU Rubicon that I have massive plans for. My goal is to grow this channel to one of the largest off-road channels on the platform. If you want to help me out, tap the subscribe button and the notification bell so you don't miss out on future content.

    Chains are designed to dig down to a hard surface and bight into it. Tracks are designed to float on top of soft stuff.
    Two entirely different purposes for two entirely different conditions.

    First, good snow tires. 2nd, chains. Tracks would be more functional, but the price of them is outlandish. Love the cabin find! Who owns them? I like the fact that they’re there for emergencies though. Very clever!

    • @LetsGetLost.
      @LetsGetLost.  2 месяца назад +1

      Oh the price of tracks is crazy! Let alone the trailer and tow rig needed to hit the trail. I will stick with my tires. I do need to invest in a good set of chains for next winter. They would help reach a lot more places!!
      And the cabins are owned my nobody. They are built by the off road/ outdoor community. It’s pretty awesome to know they are out there in case of an emergency.

    Crossing a sketchy bridge (or any obstacle you are unsure about) without first without out of your vehicle and walking the bridge is dangerous, you guy were lucky this time.

    Welcome to my neck of the woods! The lake up there also has some awesome trout when it's not frozen lol, there's also quite a few more cabins in the area to look for next time you're out this way. Also tracks suck chains all the way

    What a beautiful area! Whats your choice of mapping app?
    For snow, just air down to 10psi

    • @LetsGetLost.
      @LetsGetLost.  7 месяцев назад +1

      I personally like to use Gaia for mapping, and yes this day I was sitting at 15 psi. Happy medium I find for for high speed and low speed

    Tracks aren't made for speed demons.. slow and steady.. check them every hour on the trail. Keep them adjusted so they don't jump the drive clogs. One can hear and feel the clogs jumping.. In the winter, like a snowmobile, the tracks will freeze crossing unfrozen water. Unlike a snowmobile one can't left the track and gun the throttle to blow the freezing track clean... I vote for Diamond pattern studded tire chains on all four.

    I don't think the tracks for the 392 are strong enough. I've seen tracks on a Ram 6.7 Cummins. They would handle the abuse.

      @@LetsGetLost. Depends on how many track systems they're selling. Kind of like portal axles. If they're a growing part of the accessory market, you'll see progress quickly. If they're barely surviving or going under, you may see nothing.
