its funny that a "Chained heart" is normally a simbol of a trapped feeling and the likes but technically in kingdom hearts all hearts are chained with memories, so that is acutally the default representation of it when you think about it
The chains of memories are not chains that chain down the hearts, but literally chained memories that if one of them is disrupted, the whole chain comes apart and the memory is fucked up.
Although I'm not entirely sure I think the scene with Vanitas at the end is supposed to be Sora finally noticing how much what he's giving up for everyone else is hurting him, thus the blue blood finally turns a real red in that one shot. After giving it all up with the brightest of smiles for other people, Sora is finally forced to face his darkness, his negative feelings, which Vanitas knows all too well.

I think I get it, the Sora with black hair is the Sora that thinks that he has realised that by saving the hearts that has been stored inside of him for most of his journey, by Roxas, Xion and Ventus leaving him, he feels that he's now completely useless.
The Sora with black Hair is named Vanitas. It’s commonly theorized that he’s still within Sora at the end of KH3. And Sora, fading and unable to give anymore of his heart away, instead gives Vanitas a second chance a life by letting Vanitas take his body instead. Which I what I think is happening here

The last time Vanitas possessed somebody he had just changed Ventus' eye colour to his own yellow colour until he changed his whole appearance to his own. And that doesn't explain the crying while eating sea salt ice cream which Vanitas has no connection to.

@@Victor-um9ce it was Vanitas at the end there, I just found it. right before that it showed Sora bleeding and the red was shown as blue. with the flash where it looks like Vanitas has blue eyes at the end there is also a stream of blue coming from his eye. it's a wide strip, unlike what tears would be, so I figure that it is also blood, but stylized like it was before in blue. and Vanitas' eye is shown blue here too because his natural eye color is also red. If you've read the Birth by Sleep novel, it's said that Vanitas was born with the face of an unversed, with red eyes. And it's been confirmed in interviews that the Gold eyes are signs of Xehanort's influence, of which, Vanitas had PLENTY of. So yes I agree with @Tharkflark1 's conclusion. Vanitas, now without Xehanort hanging over him, can finally have a chance to figure out life. Friendship and happiness is finally available to him, but at the cost of the very person that gave him that chance; Sora. Edit: and also! after re-watching, the only time in the video that shows tears, Xion crying, the tears are not any color, just lines on the face, so I dont believe the blue at the very end are tears either. A similar symbol as the tears but less ambiguous: Tears can be either happy or sad (or many things between) but blood is more consistently used to symbolize pain/sacrifice. Which I feel is a lot closer to the theme of the song and video. Incomplete, as Vanitas has always been.

I can't tell what to make of those last couple of scenes. Vanitas definitely shows up- You can tell, in the 'you and me' section at the end where he's half cut off, because it has his jaw protector that normally connects to his mask shield thing. The same can't be said for the other black-haired sora boy, because it's not sora (the clothes are different?) and it's not vanitas (he never wears regular clothes?) and yet, at the same time, it could be both of them. It definitely feels like Vanitas is connected, given he looks alike and is seen while Sora is struggling (and then its shown that the black-haired boy is bleeding the blue blood from the eyes as well) but I just... can't come to a decision. Very beautiful! I'm going to lose my mind about this for a while, now!
It's a bit speculatory so bare with me: The story being told is of Sora and the people he is directly related to and as such feels the most responsible for. Ventus put his trust in Sora when he hid his heart in that young boy so many yeas ago and so Sora feels obligated to repay his trust. Roxas was Sora's nobody and went through so much suffering because people were using him to affect Sora in one way or another with the ultimate example being him having to be sacrificed so Sora could reawaken. Xion was created to be a replica of Sora and went thriugh similairly traumatic experieces, none of which were her descision or desire. Vanitas... this is where it gets complicated. Vanitas was born from the inherent darkness in Ventus' heart as well as the sentient Darkness that had hidden itself inside him (though that raises some questions as there was another Darkness in him during Re:Mind despite the fact that Vanitas was around... go figure whatever Nomura was planning there). He has been cruleyl and painfully trained by Xehanort as a simple tool and the idea of having to be recompleted with Ventus had been instilled in his mind from the very first moment. This, as well as his nature as a being of Darkness made from negative emotions which most likely can only experience negative emotions, give Vanitas feelings of worthlessness and a lack of identity (i.e. hollowness, like how his name comes from the latin word "Vanis" meaning empty). This manifests as his cocky, arrogant attitude and rageful behaviour as a coping mechanism. But his goal the entire time is to just be completed and then feel like he's worth something and worthy of being someone. Due to Ventus' heart, after its inheret darkness that was used to make Vanitas had been ripped out, having been heaed by Sora's, Vanitas is now linked to Sora as well and percives the three as the parts needed to be whole. Now Sora is, as we all know, extremely kind heated and naive... and this frequetly manifests as his overbearing need to help people, often even at his own detriment. Furthermore, due to how much he helps other people by showing then light, few see when he is hurting or strughling with darkness himself. So, as we see, he helps Roxas, Xion and Ventus, always with a smile but generally getting hurt along the way which he doesn't even aknoweldge. But when he comes to Vanitas, all he wants is to have Sora's heart and identiy as part of his own to be whole, and Sora is so focused on helping everyoe he feels resposnsible for more or less allows it. That's why we see Vanitas with Sora's clothing, it's him literally trying to merge with Sora much like how he had Ventus' face in Birth by Sleep. But Vanitas isn't... let's say entirely bad, he feels very hurt and only knows to deal with that in negative ways as we seen when he just takes Sora's life. But when he has reached his goal and has a moment to think about his actions, he cries because he knows that them peacfully co-existing while still complementing each other would be so much nicer, but this is the only way he knew and now Sora is gone with him as a mocking replacement.
