Join us for a lively Saturday night as we explore the famous Bar Street in Kato Paphos, Cyprus! Once known for its vibrant nightlife and party scene, we're back to see how things are today. Is it still buzzing with energy, packed with tourists, or has it changed? We'll take you through the bars, clubs, and hidden spots while giving you a real taste of the atmosphere 🎉🍹 Whether you're planning a trip or just curious, this video will give you the inside scoop on what Bar Street is like now. Have things mellowed down, or is it still the go-to place for a night out? Stick around and find out with us!
If Island Blue develop all those spaces it might bring bar street back to life, but I fear it’s time has passed. Flairs is busier, but the others are all just hanging on in hope.
Hi I will keep my fingers crossed for improvement, I do hope that any development is in keeping with Paphos. Thanks so much for watching and commenting 👍😎
Nice to see you're back! Bar St will never be the same without Hollywood and Con, Lawrie and their parents. We were going to go back next year but we've chosen to go back to Playa Del Carmen, will maybe go back for my 50th next year? Good to see my old stomping ground on here again, I pretty much spent my formative years gowing up on that street, where I met my now wife, got engaged at the Aliathon got married there 23 years ago at the Town Hall! Thanks for the upload, MAH. P.S I remember the 'Bubbles Brainbuster' and the states some people got in!
@@mark747captain 👍 brilliant, thanks so much for watching, do you remember "Woody's" opposite bubble's, and the "mini" that used to end up in the harbour most weekends !
@@TravelswiththeRussells Hi, guys. I remember the Mini I can't recall Woody's, I probably do to be honest but it's not clanging any bells just now. I started going 29 years ago so I probably do. Do you get the feeling it's becoming 'Benidormed'? Oh, just to get our dates straight, we're going to Playa Del Carmen in June next year and then PFO in November after I've turned 50! Is The Rose Pub still there? All the guys there came to our wedding, really good friends, to have locals come to your wedding really shows kinship. Nick was a great friend to me even before I met my wife, he used to let me stay in the pub well after time and then drop me back to the Aliathon, he crashed his car the one night, straight into the bar opposite, I told him not to show off because it's been raining, and then trashed his Nissan Skyline, thankfully he limped me back! Have a great time! MAH.
@@TravelswiththeRussells I'm sure the Keg And Barrell used to be a restaurant called Gigilo's? And on the other side on Poseidonos Ave. There was a lovely restaurant called Manhattan, is that still there?
@@splodge57 hi thanks so much for watching and commenting 👍😎, Paphos isn't really about bar life in fact just the opposite, this video is showing one element of Paphos which is in a slow decline of the Bars and clubs on bar street. Thanks again for watching 👍
9:30 Did he tell you to put your camera away?? As an aside, I live on the opposite side of the island, it’s nice to see mature trees with plenty of greenery down Bar Street. Here they won’t let stuff grow and either severely chop trees down to bare stumps or massacre them so much they’re stunted, with barely any greenery and don’t look natural. The aesthetic of the place really suffers as a result and resembles a sanitised, soulless concrete jungle and is beginning to spoil my experience of living here.
@@jakehands hi thanks for watching 👍, yes it's a shame it's been going down hill over a long time now compared to how it used to be 25 or so years ago, but hopefully it looks like some improvements are going to be made.

@@mark747captainthe Rose is still there but its changed hands so new owners now.
Keg and barrel only close for renovations? Mayors orders on the veranda, similar to the sea front.

In season is pushing it a bit mate 😂
@@markfalshaw-gv9imthanks so much for watching and commenting, it was beginning of September so still in summer season, granted its not high season👍😎.
Went to Paphos a few times in the 90's, enjoyed Cyprus. Looks unrecognisable now. Not into bar life so can't see us going back.
