  • We drive all the way to The Netherlands, to do a detailed photoshoot of the unique SS100 coupe for a feature in Classic Jaguar magazine. I didn't get to video my test drive in this one - my sticky mounts would not have been welcomed, but do a walkaround tour of the car, and include some bonus in-car footage. That's some superb engine noise!
The cars are in the custodianship of Zwakman Motors, as is the delicious Range Rover V8 we used as a location scout car.
You can find out more about the remarkable SS100 Coupe in the Dec 2018/Jan 2019 issue of Classic Jaguar, on sale her - delivery possible around the world! shop.kelsey.co.uk/issue/View/...

Yes, I watched with tears in my eyes the section about the Jaguar prototype. The 17 year old boy was indeed my father, Gordon March. He and my mother went away for a 3 day honeymoon in The Grey Lady in March 1945. I am biased but she has to be one of the most beautiful cars… literally a one off! Despite the emotional tears Ian, this video has been a joy!!

Absolutely love every single video you make Ian. Please keep up the good work, we all really appreciate the hard work and dedication that you put into every single video. Long may you rule my friend.

SS100 quite possibly my favourite class of all time. My love of this car started with a matchbox toy. Which i still have.

Thanks for the mention, (and Im wearing the same jumper in my latest video. For more grey jumper action...) that was a fantastic trip, but next time I really want to see a plane on the bridge!

Thanks for sharing. My family has a collection of 6 Jaguars collectibles. Original 1930’s 1.5 SS, E Type, XK 160 and XJS.

From someone who has never even learned to drive, and I know about lots of cars, but these two are absolutely priceless, and just scream high quality motor engineering. Thank you so much for sharing this with us Sir. 👍.

WoW! Stunning stunning cars, The sight of that Audi 100 brought back memories for me, the company I worked for back then had a Morris Marina TC & then got one of these Audi 100's as a pool car, the performance & handling of those cars were astounding compared to what was about in those days. loved taking that out for a vigorous spin.

When I was a kid, I had a 1/18 scale SS100 on my window sill. A few (many) years later I bought a Suffolk SS100.

"Not bad for an 80 year old" I thought that you looked a bit younger.

Lovely sound. Doesn't seem to matter it's not an XK unit - the throaty exhaust and gear whine is still Jaguar! The heritage between the SS and the XK120 is so obvious. And a yellow Audi! What sweetness and light there was in the 1970s and 80s!
