  • Matt Chapman absolutely TORE A STRIP OFF Jays manager John Schneider for apparently obeying the analytics dept. orders to pitch to AL HR leader Shohei Ohtani!
Schneider was FURIOUS at being dressed down by one of the clubhouse leaders. Look how upset he is even after Chappy's HR!

Schneider is out of his league. Just because he managed some of the players when they were in the minors doesn't mean it's the same gig in the MLB. He doesn't seem to make player's accountable for taking a play or two off, sloppy base running and wasting relievers like he has an unlimited supply. If the BJs aren't in win now situation then maybe he has time to learn but you can't have this kind of payroll and claim that you have a lot of time to try to figure it out.

ik none of you watched him and r casuals but the only person who u should be intentionally walking every ab was barry bonds. everyone likes to say its the roids, but he literally had the best hitting mechanics ever, so good that a guy broke it down into a science to teach it to others, including Judge. on top of that Barry’s eye was soooo much better than Shohei’s. he was just so fucking good at hitting

For 9 years from 1990-98, Bonds had an OPS+ of 181, and led the NL in OPS five times. During this period he led the NL in IBB 7 consecutive years.
      In 9 years: 248 IBB.
In 3 years from 2002-2004 he was intentionally walked 249 times.
The most IBB in Bonds' natural career over a 4-year span was 118 over 2394 plate appearances.
In 2004 alone, he had 120, through 617 PA.
      At 39 years old.
As great as he was naturally, in terms of Bonds as a mythical figure; it was the roids.

You are wsy off base Merrifield was a great addition!!! If you had really been watching, ypuvwould have seen a lot of great catches in left field and at 2 and base. You would have seen alor of base stealing and sometimes more than one in an inning or game! If you had been watching yoh would have seen home runs and runs in. Had you been watching, ypu would have seen him in the dugout givingvafvice and trying to mentor the young guys. Sharing info with all his teammates and just being the decent good human being he is. Obviously you were not watching!
