When Nora was in fourth grade she went to a sleepover at one of her friend's houses AND, although she didn't know it, her friend had lice at the time. Nora didn't bring her own pillow to her friends house, why would she, and so she borrowed one off her friend's bed. Of course, there were lice and lice eggs in the pillow, and they just marched on over and there you go, she got lice. The nurse confirmed she had contract lice.
Her parents tried all kinds of things to get rid of the head lice, and worked really hard to comb them out and shampoo with all this medicated stuff, and then, right in the middle of all of that, her brother came in scratching his head, a lot.The lice had spread.
Eventually, and after all kinds of treatments, Nora and her family got rid of all the lice. The only person she spoke to about it was the friend who she had caught them from, and that was mostly to make sure that she took care of the problem if there still was one.
But one day, while Nora was talking to her friend about it in the school bathroom, this other girl was in a stall and they didn't know. This girl had started hanging out with all of Nora's friends, and she overheard that Nora had had lice and she snuck out of the bathroom and told all of Nora's friends about it.
Every time Nora would walk over to her she would give Nora this weird disgusted look and then she would just slowly back away. She would go whisper things with Nora's friends and Nora knew she was telling them all about the lice and making a really big deal about it. When Nora would come over to all of them, they would just run away, or make excuses and leave....
This girl kept using Nora's lice as a way to take her friends away from her, and made them all act like Nora was gross or something. It wasn't fun, and it made Nora really upset and alone most of the time - all because she had head lice, and even though she had gotten rid of them.
The rumors got so bad that one day a teacher even sent her home because they thought they saw lice in her hair. It wasn't true, she didn't have lice anymore, but nobody seemed to care, and that made going to school every day a bit of a challenge.
After a while the rumors seemed to die down and Nora made her way happily to fifth grade. But, early in the school year, she was sitting in class before it started and this one boy - the class clown - started going behind everyone at their desks and patting them on the heads - like that old game of duck-duck-goose.
And then, when that boy got to Nora, that same girl was there and she said, so everyone could hear it "Oh, I wouldn't touch Nora's head if I were you!" Nora couldn't believe it, after all this time, here she was again in a new grade and a new year starting it all up again. Nora burst into tears, right there at school, in class.
This girl just continued running away and starting rumors and Nora felt like she had lost all her friends. She was so upset and luckily a teacher noticed what was going on, and the school counselor who she ended up talking to about it and who stepped in to make things right.
That girl who had been causing all the problems at school and with Nora's friends went to her and apologized and not long after that they actually became good friends.
The best advice Nora can give? Bring your own pillow when you go to your friend's house for a sleepover, oh yeah, and don't spread rumors about people.

people that aren't so nice now I don't
have any ebola but then when I got into
fifth grade I remember that there's this
one boy and he's kind of like the class
clown he was just touching everyone's
heads for some reason just like pat pat
it was so weird and that one girl said

and I noticed that she has been like
running away from me and taking all my
friends away from me at that time so I
just started crying and the teachers
luckily found out and I got to talk to
it with a counselor

I still do today even though I haven't gotten lice since the last time I actually did get some. When my sisters and I got lice, we had our Uncle dye it, they ofc died. After a yr, I went to fifth grade and ppl said they liked my highlights (FYI, my dye was temporary so it slowly wore away.) I would say to them "thanks but it's not natural" so that they'd know it was dye. A girl came up to me and asked my I dyed my hair and I whispered "I had lice" she speed walked away but I still stood near her (# I'm a creep. Lol 🙄😅), to not freak her out too much I told her "I don't have lice anymore so chill out." And she did.
I got bullied for having lice in 7th grade. It kept leaving and then coming back repeatedly. My family tried everything. Then after about 6 months, a woman at our church recommend a place called "Hair Fairies". My mom made 2 appointments with "Hair Fairies" 1st one was treatment and 2nd was check up. After the 2 appointments I never had lice again. When I went for the check-up I only had a few nits and baby lice which they got rid of during the check up. Then my mom booked 2 appointments for her and my brother and the "Hair Fairies" got rid of their lice. A lot of lice treatment products are toxic to the human body. But "Hair Fairies" only uses natural chemicals in their treatments so it's not harmful to the patient. They were very expensive but worth it. No toxins and it only took 2 appointments. I would recommend them to anyone who has lice. I went to their building in Manhattan.

Or you could just use something specifically for lice. You could probably get it at a drug store. And use that to kill the lice by soaking your hair in it. Then you take conditioner and use a lice comb to brush out the nits and lice. You need to buy a good comb for best results.

That would've been sooo usefull back then because i had lice a couple times and my parents were always trying to get it out and that medicine was toxic and it damaged my hair, I alsoed lost my friends because of getting lice but that happend like 8 years ago...im 15 now i dont got it no more but that could have been soo usefull...NOW I KNOW
Good job. My hair was dyed. They all died. Guess what? It was free 😂😂😂. You know why? My uncle did the job 👌. Not bragging but it worked.
Moral of the story: Make sure to bring a pillow when you're going to a sleepover because you will never know your friend will have lice and spread over to you :)

If someone had lice, I wouldn’t go to close to them, but there’s no need to be so rude about it.
Walking close to someone with lice does not give you them, they don't jump on your hair or fly in the air, what gives lice is when you touch that other person with your hair or when you put their stuff/items on your hair, for example, sleeping with their pillow, or wearing their hat. If you touch their stuff with your hand or hold it, then getting lice is a very low chance.

@@jxnko756 I already got rid of mine what mom did was put alcohol on my hair and leave it on for like 1 orn2 hours or just 1 hour and a half and when she put it on my hair she put like a bag and tied it and then after 1 or 2 hours u have to shower and get a hair brush that's able to take the lice out and get a towel or like tissue paper and see if any lice falls out hopefully this works for u it worked for me

Also at my school we were told to treat our lice and not go to school if we had lice, to protect others. I don't think it's bad that the teacher sent her home. When I was like, 3 years old, I was in daycare, and was forced to sleep next to a girl who had REALLY bad lice...
The teachers knew, but still put her near other kids... and I got lice from her...
And it was BAD...
I had really long hair at the time, which made it harder to remove...
From 8pm, to 3 IN THE FRICKING MORNING... it took so long, because of not only because of the length of my hair, but because of how much there where... like, you could SEE all of the lice on her head, and they were falling off of her...

if you ever get head lice again just get some vinegar and pour it all over you hair thoroughly, leave it for 20-30 minutes and then take a shower and scrub thoroughly again. Repeat until they all die
At my camp the rule for is the person on the top bunk has to have their feet where the bottom bunk's person head is. This helps prevent getting lice.
I hope the teachers get really bad karma, just as bad as the lice.

I KNOW FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE THAT MAYONNAISE HELPS TO GET RID OF LICE! Basically, if you get lice, put an entire jar of high fat mayonnaise all over your hair and scrub that stuff in DEEP. (or 2 jars depending on how bad the lice is/how long your hair is) Seriously, get that mayonnaise all over your head and scrub hard. You have to sleep with that in your hair overnight. (Or just keep it in your hair for at least 8 hours) Use a shower cap to keep it in place. Also, just some advice, put a towel between your head/neck and pillow(s); Mayonnaise is kinda runny so this'll keep it from staining your pillow(s). In the morning, wash out your hair like you normally would. I know it sounds like a joke but it works. The reason that this works is because mayonnaise is so thick that it'll suffocate the lice. RUclips or Google it if you don't believe me.
Bonus: Yeah, it's kinda gross but the plus side is that your hair will be super soft afterwards. Also, if you did it right, there'll be no lice either!

Husky it is spread from one persons hair to the next, you get it by using someone’s hair brush, of being in close proximity to them. Lice isn’t that big a deal, the video made it seem like a bigger deal then it was. You wash your hair with a special shampoo, clean your pillows, get new brushes, and then your fine and it’s gone

MAYO 👏 AND 👏 VINEGAR! I’ve had lice 4 times! Each time I’ve lathered my hair with mayo, left it in a shower cap for an hour, and rinsed it out with vinegar. I usually have to do it twice before all the adult live are out of my head. Next, have a loved one (my mom did mine) use a nit pick to brush all the eggs (or nits) out of your hair. This process usually takes about an hour to an hour and a half, and it’s best to do it a few times. Lice is gone within a few days to a week. I’m not unhygienic, just love hugs! Hope these tips help!
I have really thick hair, so when I have lice my mother has to go through layers and layers and it takes about 3 hours and this goes for two days just to get rid of all of it. Also straighten your hair, it kills and fry’s the eggs so they can’t hatch.

I got lice when i was about 8 years old, it started when we were going to Jordan valley and i had ate grapes in a whole container, later on the ride i felt sick. So i told my parents and we stopped. I threw up about 7 times.( i counted by the way... sorry im weird) My mom holding my hair back when she noticed there were seeds and eggs.( not actual seeds and eggs that you eat) My mom knew that was lice and told my dad. No one knew except my brothers and my parents. Then it finally went a way! That is my story about lice.
I had lice 4 or 5 times in my life, and I hated it -_-. My mom would always ask who are u hanging out with. I would give the same answer all the time. But I haven't had it for a year and a half now, thank god.

DUDEEE, This happened to me but nobody knew and my mom told me to keep my hair up so nobody would get affected by it, and we used different stuff to treat my hair... Don't be ashamed because lice is a natural things people will give you😂😂 And my mom told me I can't have a sleep over with that person because she never told me.

My lice story is similar to hers. When I was little, I didn't like washing my hair for some reason but soon I got lice. It eventually spread to my older sister but she got rid of them quickly. In fourth grade, the lice made me lose my friends and classmates too. In fifth grade, I wasn't feeling any lice anymore, I told them about this, yet they still picked on me. When I repeated 5th grade, I was glad my new classmates didn't know about that crap :).
