2 Ignoring the fact that making this in japan is dumb because they arent top of the list when it comes to football skills. Every player is going to play better or worse, some even will waste 100% goal scoring chances (like lukaku in wc), and still will be one of the best because things like that happen
3 Making a striker with such high ego, is going to make more troubles then profit, just look to what happened to the 2nd best player in the world. He made a fuss at united, and is now playing in arabia.
4 If were not going to ignore the fact that japan is not the best in the world. We already know that this "teaching" system isnt going to work, because it already exists in qatar (btw, I spit on qatar) and we know how well they played in WC.
5 I know its diffrent "sport" but thing like that exists also on MMA, and I cant recall any champion that was the winner of its "blue lock"
And that's why, this doesnt make sence, and the best players are going to be on Sturidges level, or if lucky, on Super Mario's level
they adapted this scene so well, with the 3 POVs man this shot was so satisfying with everyone cheering him on beforehand
I mean it was very cool and all but the trajectory of the ball changes with each POV in a very unrealistic way. In the first POV it looks like he was going to strike it with his left foot, and in the last one the ball pretty much falls down coming in from behind him ready for him to shoot with his right foot. Apart from that this scene was amazing

@@alessandrorosetti2894 From what I see the first angle is from behind Isagi and the ball is going horizontally and the second angle is from the right and the ball is now falling as in the ball lost it's momentum and is now falling or it's still going forward but we just can't see that.

He doesn't just go psycho, and immediately changes and tries to destroy everyone like other mcs, or shows. He never changes who he is, and always inspires the viewer and the characters to do more. Even if they get obsessed with winning, nothing ever completely dismantles it's themes.
He's basically hinata if he never got over what happened in S1 and decided to crush everyone, but still have people have his back and remind him of who he is

I've seen a lot of sports anime, and maybe it's been done better elsewhere, but this is one of the best scenes that portray just how soul crushing it can be to lose when you give it your absolute best and it's still not enough. I felt sooo bad for Niko, but I also felt the rush that Isagi was feeling. Such a good scene man, I've rewatched so many times

i just came back here after seeing japan winning against germany, TRULLY A BLUE LOCK MOMENT
For me the most interesting thing about Isagi is that when I see him use his weapon, I see him more as a 10/attacking midfielder than a pure striker. Even in the previous episodes, he always looked to pass....yeah he strikes me as a 10.
I think his weapon is his intuition.....in the sense of, more times than not, he knows where the ball will be.
What's interesting about it is he's actually unlearning his talent as a potential 10, and is instead using it to enhance his abilities as a 9. In just one episode he went from using his vision to pass, to talking down on someone who did the exact same thing and instead using his skill to carry the team as a pure 9.

All things considered, Isagi's style which he makes advantage of others talent and magnify the potential of his team mates remind me of Zinedine Zidane, the best 10 / offensive midfielder of all time, who was famous for his space awareness on the field. Jorge Valdano, one coach of Real Madrid once said about Zidane that "he has the ability to oxygenate the game and make his team mates better". It reminds me Isagi for some reason

At the beginning I felt like Isagi was lucky for being in a team with a variety of weapons that can cover each other’s weaknesses,including his. But as time passes,it’s becoming clearer that his team is lucky to have *him* ,he’s already doing so much subconsciously so imagine when he gets the hang of that weapon? He’ll be unstoppable!

There are comparatively few things I want to watch again for the first time but Blue Lock is literally full of those things. The first time I saw Isagi's goal I was almost in tears. So incredibly epic

I'm here because of Germany/Japan
I don't like sports, so this is the first sports anime that I've watched ever. I felt so conflicted when Isagi was standing over that guy, because I'm like it's sad that his soccer careers over...but yes, Isagi scored the goal!!! His monster's growing stronger and making him more ruthless as well as determined. His stamina's improving(at least it seems that way when he appears from one end of the field to the other in literal seconds)I like this anime, I feel so on edge when someone's about to score a goal.
An olympic field is about 120yds long, and let's say he goes from PK spot to PK spot, so 12yds off each end giving him a distance to travel of 96yds or about 88m. You can cover that in 15 seconds at a top speed of ~13mph. I am far from being the fastest person, and even I can get over 16mph at 31 years old, which I'm pretty sure is slower than my unofficial personal best from my teenage years.
Anyways, tl;dr, it is realistic for him to cover all that ground in time to be available for that pass. I think that's pretty cool of an anime to do.

This anime is probably one of the best sports animes that will come out. Most other ones rely on team work and how important it is but Blue Lock brings in people of the top level and force each other to be as greedy and egotistical as possible because that's what makes you win. Similar to an MVP, MVP's will usually carry the match or have the most contribution but Blue Lock really dives into that subject and shows how important it is to solely focus on yourself and be as greedy as possible because that's what makes people play the best if they know what they're doing.
By far best part of the entire first season. I get chills every time
