It’s been three years and I haven’t forgotten. This young girl’s cruel passing affected me me the most. And her fiddle tune moves me to tears without fail to this day
Very beautiful and moving. The few here who say otherwise are obviously projecting their own cynicism onto Natalie, who is clearly here simply grieving as a Nova Scotian, a mother, a fiddler, and yes, cultural leader. Thank you Natalie!
Thank you Natalie and all Canadians for this gorgeous tribute. I was brought to tears hearing Natalie's accent as my mom was from Cape Breton and everyone I know misses her.
I cried through the whole beautiful tune and saw the heart of both Natalie and Emily in this touching honor .. keep fiddling in the sky world dear Emily .. my condolences to her family and friends
This was a lovely Tribute, heartfelt, it brought a sense of peace , love and some tears in my eyes. Thank you Natalie MacMaster and the piano accompanist.
Thanks for having put this piece together Ms. McMaster. It was beautifully executed. That said, it’s inconceivable to me that individuals would vote this post down.
I have played this over and over. I recall watching Emily play this in March. Natalie's performance combined with Emily's...very beautiful and touching. Thank you Natalie.
As a new comer to Nova Scotia, the tears run down my cheeks for the pain that you have experienced and that I am new to, and hopefully the end of that pain!
Thank you Natalie and Mary, : This beautiful Trio was a lovely tribute to the fallen and to the Spirit of young fiddler Emily Tuck. Like most who watched this, I also had tears in my eyes. Blessings to you Natalie, for using your artistic talents in such a loving manner & to assist all Canadians as we mourn along with Nova Scotians.
@@Bernietothe9th I'm so sorry. I still cry over this. I hope we someday find out what really happened and the ones responsible are held accountable. I honestly feel this was an inside job.
so hard to watch when the candle has been snuffed out before it has had the chance to glow bright. be Nova Scotia strong my friends and family, be strong!
I read an article and it said she wan't sure whether to pursue welding or music (badass passions first of all) after graduation. I'm glad she received the opportunity to be recognized and accompanied by a musician as talented and kind hearted as Natalie.
That was beautiful Natalie, Thank you so much. May the blessings of Almighty God be with you, your family, all the families of the victims. We pray daily for all. Much love, from PEI. 💐👏❤️🌹🙏🏽🙏🏽
A wonderful and touching tribute. The tears make it hard to type. This American sends love, hugs and deepest condolences to our wonderful Canadian neighbors during this sad time.
What a tasteful and wonderful tribute to Emily, this way of honouring her will be incredibly special to those who know her...Natalie, I had the pleasure of attending Greenbridge, and how incredibly awesome it was to "meet" you and your family offstage, so to speak. This musical gift to Emily's family and friends just shows how music can portray our deepest emotions and can speak to and comfort our hearts when the world seems incomprehensible and senseless. You are as classy as the music you play!
'Brings to mind the literary quote, "Beauty will save the world." It's the hardest of hearts that won't take from this video its offer of rescue from profound grief. (If not yet mentioned already and for those who might like to know, the full title of the piece is "In Memory of Herbie Macleod", a Cape Breton fiddle tune composed by Jerry Holland.)
Beautiful ladies joining us all together. Reminding us that we are eternally connected. So heartwarming. May all beings all over the world reconnect with their Divine Source and feel love, peace and light sooth their soul. Thank you ladies for sharing this precious moment of authentic love with us.
Our community lost many precious lives that horrific weekend. Its almost the 1 year mark and its still just as raw as it was then. I didnt know Emily personally, my next door neighbors grandson dated her. I lost my childhood neighbor that day. We are a small area, everyone knows everyone. Not a single person you meet hasnt been effected by this. Our hearts are heavy this weekend, but we will remember their names, their voices, and their love. I watch Emilys Covid Kitchen Party weekly, it makes me cry, but her music makes my heart smile. RIP Angels, and keep watching over us.
I cried in 2020 when I watched it for the first time. Now , a year later. I cried again. What a precious gift to be given to the family of this young girl, Emily Tuck. A tribute like no other. May God pour out His comfort and grace to all those left behind
What a special way to remember. That was very emotional. Bless her dear heart. And no child should have their life cut short. I hope this virus targets the evil in our world. We need to lose so much of that.
I shall never forget that tribute. That truly touched the collective Canadian heart.
Jody F you’ll have forgotten in a month

Evidently those folk are not musicians or artists and don't get it. they must be tone deaf as well! Heartbreaking.

Anyway to purchase this on iTunes and perhaps the proceeds go the the families ?
The intro by Emily ' s dad is so Nova Scotian...we "know" these people, that's why it hurts so much. They're the salt of the earth.
I wish people would stop putting know in scare quotes. There is such a thing as knowing.
I start bawling everytime he speaks.
