Looking forward to seeing the Patagotitan when it arrives at the NHM. Went to see my old chum Dippy in Coventry last weekend, which was also a treat!

I'm curious if the Natural History Museum to create a series of video clips of different facts about The Titanosaur for my documentary-styled special video for my Future Is Prehistoric Series called The Titanosaur: The Story Of The Giant Dinosaurs.

Sauropods. Didn't exist as far as I'm concerned.
Btw. I'm not saying all dinosaurs just saurpods
An elephant eats 150 kg per day and spends 18 hours eating per day
An Argentinosaurus needs 850 kg per day
So please explain how many hours it would need to be eating per day? Because upscaling it would seem like 100 hours eating per 24 hours period
    So what am I missing?
Did vegetation back then contain 10 times as much nutrition?
Please explain. Because based on what I know about elephants. Saurpods seem impossible. Biologically.
I have not found an explanation so far🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Mammals also need a brain to survive yet here you are

@@SmackheadGaming hmm . When I was diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum, my intelligence was measured as being at the top 15% of the population. (Of course with the exception of my interpersonal skills)
Therefore I can make an educated albeit accurate guess you are probably much less intelligent than me.
Conversely. You know zero about me and yet if I'm considered "without a brain" then 85% of the population including you are vegetables.
Clearly it makes no sense 🤔
Btw your affliction is known as the dunning Krueger effect.
      Google it educate yourself.
Although most of intelligence is genetic, you can offset it slightly with education. And by f you need to offset it.
In an intelligent society. We go by facts, not ad hominem

I thought Patagotitan is bigger that Argentinosaurus

Hi @MrWanapon, great comment! It's hard to say definitively...
Current estimates tend to put Patagotitan as being longer than Argentinosaurus, but Argentinosaurus as heavier than Patagotitan. The exact size of Argentinosaurus is hard to estimate due to the incompleteness of its fossilised remains. Patagotitan is one of the most complete titanosaurs found so far, so there's more certainty about its size than other contenders for the world's biggest.
However, different methods of estimating body mass mean there is still some debate over exactly how heavy Patagotitan was. The most recent estimates range from 42,500 to 71,400 kilogrammes. If the latter is correct, it could be heavier than Argentinosaurus.
You can find out about the different ways scientists calculate the sizes of dinosaurs here: www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/what-is-the-biggest-dinosaur.html
