Hopefully live to bring this sound back next year as I and others like myself (if they're out there) attempt to remove ourselves from the hostility and chaos of 2020 and channel a simpler time while not forgetting the change that must be made to make our world a better place into the future. These guys are definately the best postcore band very well produced espcecially the trance beats the synth player did a good job and chose the best trance beat sound.......
@FriendsWithoutFacesO Okay so yeah I was wrong about the vocoder... Vocoders are linked to a piano so you do your vocals into a mic which is synched to a keyboard. Instead of an instrument you use your voice and play the keys to make the appropriate tone. ( this is more like what the girl in Imogen Heap does) but what they do with Marties voice isn't entirely the same as the software that T-pain and Ke$ha use. Marty uses a rack mound which has the same software but does the "pitch-correction"

@domgeewhiz Actually what the bassist is using is NOT auto tune, it's a vocoder. it makes the voice sound somewhat electronic yes, but doesn't correct the pitch entirely. He still needs to sing the correct notes, with autotune you can pretty much speak in any tone and change the tone to whatever you want it to be. whic doesnt take much talent at all. I'd like to hear Marty sing clean without the vocoder more often so people would shut up about the "he cant sing" shit. Because he totally can

They do this strictly for the unique sound that it gives their band and I love it but I'd still like to hear a song from them with clean vocals so that people would stop the bullshit about "this band sucks because they use auto-tune". He can sing.
i cant tell you how wrong i was about abandon all ships , i live in rochester new york and they came and played a kick ass show yesterday with my fav band sleeping with sirens and i thought they would suck so bad live, i was so wrong they put on the best show ever not just cause they were good, but because their songs were so amazing to throw and party to .best concert ever hands down...
@raxprivate just so you know i was TRYING to like their new stuff which is why i was on the page in the first place, but like i said i couldn't wind up liking it. you can. i'm not saying you can't, but you can't deny that their old stuff blows this out of the water completely
I don't know why people think auto-tune is horrible. I think it sounds great with this band. When I don't like it is when it's like for a gay Disney band or something like that.

I hate it when people diss on bands for using auto tuners. This band and Monsters scare you both use auto tuners at times, but i know they can actually hit the notes, i've seen them do it! Besides the auto tuner gives the voice a unique tone!! Thumbs up if you understand this (:

@IMBAD212 People do all the time, Also, the song isn't yours to distribute. Even if it is a "lyric" video, You're still distributing the song to the public, even if you bought the CD. You didn't by rights to the song, therefore, can't distribute it (legally).
