What a privilege it is to share this message with the St. Andrew's Streetsville church family on Communion Sunday February 2, 2025. The people of the syngagoue at Nazareth, the hometown of Jesus, are surprised that Jesus reads Isaiah 61 with such authority. "All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. ‘Isn’t this Joseph’s son?’ they asked." (Luke 4:22 NIV) They get furious with Jesus and attempt to hurt him.
