@@thisladyisstrange6243 He disappeared. Although some of us hope he is somewhere else with a new family, but Robert said in a video Mr. Kes is probably gone.
I remember all this and it's lovely to see Jeff's story all summed up and in chronological order. I think he's got a place in everybody's hearts, just like his dad Mr Kes ❤
I remember Jeff, and his wildly siblings last year. He was the last to bare the signature white puff afro with yellow stick legs jutting out the bottom of his downy bomber flight suit. Thank you for being a shinning presence in his family's darkest hour, Robert.
Luna seems to be the biggest Resident alongside Bomber and other Tawny Owls while Kestrels are smallest and have overall most difficult life. Though nothing can compare to life of Barn Owl youth, Barn Owls definitely try to be best parents but they simply follow the survival of the fittest rule maybe too much.
Great video. Always love to see the lovely landscape as well as the Kestrels. What a handsome adult male Jeff has become. I love their colours. Thanks Robert, it's a wonderful story.
I remember when Jeff fought Luna. It was like Jeff! You barely made it to adulthood don’t get yourself into danger!! But glad to see he’s okay and learned his lesson and now he’s got a little brood of his own.
Oh Robert thank you for the video of Jeff!! He was my favorite also and obviously is thankful for you also! ❤ Mr Kes just said, "okay son, You can have this territory ... I'll find another." 😃😉
@delilahboa 😃😃 OH WOWWW!!! That's really cool! 😎 When you watch regularly & follow Robert ... he helps you understand their natural habits & actions. Thank you @ Robert we appreciate you for your awareness of wildlife & sharing!!
I found it rather amusing that Jeff thought he could get into Luna's nest and kick her out! 😂... I'm all.... "Ohhh Jeff? Silly boy. Don't push Miss Luna. She'll end you if she wants!" Luna is one of my favourites. Love the new story line. I just really look forward to them. You're an amazing story teller. Love this new journey you're taking us all on. Thank you Mr. Fuller ❤
Here’s to hoping Jeff inherited his father’s amazing paternal instinct. He’s come so far. I can’t wait to watch his and Jenny’s story too, like I did his parents’. ❤🦅
I would fling myself into 1,000 suns for Mr. Jeff and his family. Mr.Kesh too. He was a single dad who works too hard, who loves his kids and never stop. A gentle hand and the heart of a fighter. A survivor if you will.
There's just something about avian courtship that is really thrilling. Thank you so much for your excellent camera work that allows us to share in your wonder. The peek into Jeff and Jenny's new nest was also delightful.
Thanks REF. I only found your channel a few months ago and have been watching Luna and Bomber raising their chicks. As a long-time fan of Kestrels, I'm now watching Jeff and Jenny start their own family. Thanks for all the videos. Keep up the good work, as it is clearly appreciated by many people, as evident by the daily chats and comments by watchers. Russ. Havant, Hants.
Thank you for this lovely video ! I remember how small Jeff was ,it is a miracle he survived (thanks to you Robert E Fuller ) and wonderful he now have his own family! Looking forward to part 2! 🥰
This video brought tears to my eyes, as I was following the story of this orphaned kestrel, from his very early days. I almost had lost my hope on him, as he was super weak. When he fledged the nest as the last chick, I was still thinking he wouldn't survive the wild. But, he made it. It's simply amazing how unpredictable the life can be.
Robert you are a life saver🙌!! Thank you for getting Jeff back to optimal health!! The close bond you have with him I think it was very well meant for him to call Fotherdale his home! What a story and looking forward in anticipation in seeing Jeff raise his own family and be a devoted dad as he is gearing up to be. He is already showing signs of it💖💖
So sorry Mr. Kes is gone. He was outstanding. It was amazing that he was able to take care of his chicks after Mrs. Kes disappeared. With some help of course. But Jeff looks like a winner too. Glad you were able to save hom!
Thank-you Robert for ALL that you do for not only for Jeff, but for ALL the animals that meet you! Congrats to Mr. Jeff! RIP/MEMORY ETERNAL to both Mr. Jeff's parents.
ohmy goodness! Happy Father's Day Daddy of Jeff ! and Happy GrandFather's Day too! Little Jeff has started his family! What a great Conservation Success! Congratulations !
What a bittersweet story. This year, an eagles nest ive watched for years lost its matriarch Harriet. She was estimated to be close to 40 yrs old snd weve had a camera on her and her mate M15 for years so weve seen many of her clutches fledge and some eaglets not survive due to poison and other problems. Harriet was first recorded with a clutch in the area in 1992 w her previous mate Ozzy. She had just hatched her most recent clutch. E21 and E22 when she didn't come back. It was heartbreaking losing her this season. But her mate M15 successfully daw both eaglets to fledge despite the loss of his mate AND outside interference from other females. It was absolutely amazing. So happy both these dads managed to step up this season. And thankful to you for helping jeff succeed.
Thank you, REF, for sharing your amazing work with the World. Quick Q for the commenters? Does anyone else read the Description down below, then watch the vid? If not, why not? Great video Mr. Fuller! Absolutely beautiful cinematography and perfect editing. Well done team. Spectacular! So appreciative of everyone behind the scenes and you know i love you Mr. Fuller! My favorite youtube channel. Was happy to see you on The Dodo channel recently ❤❤ Ive been sharing your channel with animal lovers wherever i can.
Jeff holds a very special place in our hearts too, what an amazing story so far, it’s been a privilege and a pleasure to watch Jeffs first year unfold…..thank you Robert, as always brilliantly narrated and filmed to help us all follow along with all the stories and dramas as they happen in the lives of these beautiful creatures xx❤xx❤xx❤xx
Life expectancy of Kestrels is not great. 2 - 3 years is about average, but they have been known to live for more than 20 years, but that is rare. 10 - 12 years is not uncommon. 70% of Kestrels die within the first year. Breeding pairs may only raise one or two families before they die. Biggest cause of deaths is Traffic collisions whilst hunting roadside verges, or predation by Peregrine Falcons and Sparrow Hawks; both of which will take anything that flies, including Owls. The life of a Kestrel is fraught with danger, due to their light build.
Remarkable filming of these beautiful birds and how Jeff stayed around I do believe it was your knowledge to feed them.stunning to watch them and never disturbing them .
I loved how Mr Kez eventually figured out hr needed to break the meat into smaller pieces, never would've believed it but I saw your story for myself ❤❤❤
Thank for all the time and patience that you put into your filming. It's got me wanting to buy a camera and go bird watching in my area. It may be a fun thing for me to do when I retire.

When your first ever fight is against Luna of all birds, you know you're built different
Still better than Bomber
That says alot!
Ye this shared universe is madness, better than Marvel

AH!!! Young courtship!!! They are so gorgeous!!! I'll bet you love watching them grow up and having young ones of their own !!! ❤❤❤
It is amazing to see the transformation of Jeff from being a fledgling to raising his own.
Like his dad that dissapeared (though not as much as Mrs Kez) given its his turn now.

Jeff stayed becaue he senses there is someone with a good heart around. He knows his kids will be safe.

We get to see if Jeff will try feeding his chicks like Mr Kes

@SarahMaximoff guess time will tell. Mr Kes may have changed the way males approach taking care of their broods
he did in the follow up video
