    Most Nigerians know how to cook. You guys are doing great, to cook plantain is very easy just buy you a ripe plantain slice/cut to desired shape after taking of the peel and fry thats all it should fry for 7mins at most on low heat

      The first time I had egusi soup , it had stockfish,goat and bitterleaf and that is the best combination I think I like. But lately it doesn’t seem like stockfish is used as much.

    That red chilli powder is called Yaji spice mostly to eat suya.

    I love watching your Nigerian food mukbangs, mostly all of your videos where you try snacks/meals from other countries. I would love to see another bangladeshi or indian food mukbang!! Mila also looks so adorable at the end, and when shay said she says "eomma" now i smiled, shes growing up so fast!

    I would say most Nigerians can cook, also I would love you to try pepper soup, asaro 'yam porrage' and groundnut soup with fufu

    Cooking plantain is slicing a plantain into whatever thickness u like and shallow frying it on low on both sides till it has a nice golden brown. Add a pinch of salt for extra flavor contrast

    Cooking plantain is quite easy, you just slice, add a pinch of salt and deep fry till it turns brown then you remove and place on a paper towel to drain the oil

    Great video 👍👍👍.
    My parents, when they emigrated to the states, there was none of the yam powder for fufu. So like others before them, they improvised and used Farina. Which sucked. Couldn't get behind it. But the yam powder fufu is bonkers good.
    Jollof rice with plantain is the banger. And that Malt drink?💥💥💥

    I’m from Africa but have never ever had this😂😂
    I’m afraid to buy from a restaurant that doesn’t make good egusi and jollof because I might have a hard time giving it a try.. Im a picky eater. I’m thinking it’s just best if I’m in Nigeria or a Nigerian recommends a good restaurant in Botswana or South Africa

    The stew is for plain white rice mainly but good with pounded yam too.

    As a Nigerian, that was a heavy combination that will send you to sleep. Eat swallow separately as a meal. Rice meal with plantain and red chicken stew also separately. But all is good and I am glad you enjoyed it despite adding so much spice on top. Thumbs up.

    The tomato stew is mostly for white rice. You could boil white rice and use it for the stew

    I feel like fufu is similar to nashima which is what they use in Zambia to eat with. Spent 6 weeks there a few years ago. Had to get used to it but in the end 🤤

    I think you can chew the pounded yam. I do cos it's basically yam. What i don't chew is fufu cos it's stale or sour. I swallow for the fill. We also put a little tomato stew on our soups.

      That is the original, it's just recently that it was eaten without red stew on top. It used to be the standard.

      @@TRACYPATRICKS not really... it's deliberate. Many people like the jara stew with the jollof rice. In my house growing up, jollof rice was often accompanied by fried beef and chicken in fried stew... the thick type with oil and no water...it hits different. If you know.

    Next is to learn how to cook it. There are many video tutorials and I guess in your city there MUST be an African store. You can buy the ingredients and make them yourselves. We have varieties of soups. Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Edo, Calabar soups. Hundreds of them even far delicious than egusi. I can also recommend
