Yeah it's inconsistent for me too, I think it's the timing of each back+3 that resets the combo if you noticed in practice mode

Plenty lows bro hatchet kicks , Stature Kicks ,Azucenas Db 4, and for lows that tech crouch like Jin’s D2 have 1+3 and 2+4 mapped to a button and punish them effectively 👍🏾
