Just what yall asked for, Cobra Kai 3x a week!
Season 4 is out and I can't wait for yall to watch it, the quality has stepped up a bit
Si
2022 just got lot better lol thank you mr Roshi
Hell yeah
Hell yeah
Chozen pulled out the forbidden jutsus on Daniel just to honk him LOL. That was weirdly wholesome.
30 years in the making, and Daniel finally managed to mend and develop a wholesome relationship with one of his rivals.
Dude legit sour-faced the whole time just for that moment.
Chozen has developed the most out of any of the characters from the previous generation. He’s learned nearly everything from Miyagi’s way.
If yk you know
Chozen, Silver, Kreese, Johnny just amazing characters!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't miyagi do originally from Chozen's family?
@@gladiumcaeli yes it is. If i remember correctly Chozens uncle is miyagi or his vaters cousin is miyagi.
@@gladiumcaeli yes but at the time of KK2 Mr Miyagi and Chozen's uncle were estranged and hadn't spoken in years. The family had a rift with Miyagi on one side and Chozen on the other.
This show deserves all the love it gets. This is how you treat old properties when you bring them back. Writers that actually respect and love the source material.
And yes will Smith is a producer for the show. Look at his Instagram lol
Too bad this didn’t come out around the same time as Star Wars. Disney/Star Wars definitely could’ve taken some notes from this show. And from Creed.
@@Kayoss13212 big facts. Disney shit on luke Skywalker. Was some bs
@@antwany4149 Will Smith has been involved with Karate Kid IP since his kid did the remake with Jackie Chan. I think he owns part of the rights to the Karate Kid brand. I also remember it was him who black-balled the actress who played Aisha for off-screen drama. That's why she was not back for Season 3.
@@djoscartj How can he black ball her when he had on screen drama?
Yes, it was the same actress playing Yuna that played her in the second movie when she was a young girl.
The creators said they would not include characters in the show unless they found a way that makes sense in the story, and so far they’ve always used the original actors. It quite impressive.
Respect on the producers/directors, and the freaking commitment from all the actors despite the time that's passed. It's insane.
It also makes it authentic, and a lot more richer for nostalgia.
This was an interesting storyline. Miyagi only taught Daniel to use Karate for defense but turns out Miyagis family used karate to go on the offense.
Yeah, they don't call them martial arts for nothing, most of the really old ones were developed for use in war.
maybe miyagi didnt respect that style which is why he learned and taught a defensive style instead
@@Kugisaki2x nah considering he didn’t want to be his sensei in the 3rd movie he only wanted Daniel to be able to protect himself.
@@strawhatjay7755 oh ok, wasn’t too sure since I just got into the series
My take on it was that Kreese's experiences as a soldier made him believe in always attacking first, while Miyagi's experiences as a soldier made him focus on the more pacifist defensive side of his family's style. Continuing to contrast the two men.
it actually is THE WILL SMITH 3:10 since he also produced the 2010 version of the karate kid starring his son Jaden Smith
I’m pretty sure he has a major share in the properties of “The karate kid” franchise. If I remember correctly he bought the rights to the franchise when his son played in the Remake.
Yes Sony owns the franchise, will's production company owns the right to produce shows and films
the actors where even asked if there could be a jaden and jackie cameo on this. It would be awesome.
@@sedtfgyhbyjbfvbjkgvjbg
Nah… maybe bring Hillary Swank back. That actually makes sense with canon being that Julie actually learned from Mr. Miyagi.
Jackie maybe. Jaden…. Nah keep him outta here…
bruh what if he takes Jaden and Jackie Chan back then make em meet daniel and miguel in cobra kai lol
FYI, bowing while looking someone in the eyes is a sign of major disrespect in Japanese culture, so the opening scene of the guy bowing was equivalent to a “fuck you”.
But Mr. Miyagi said, “Always look eye!”
@@omgbygollywow Yeah cuz Miyagi is a war veteran and his martial art was actually martial lmao, being a traditionalist karateka in japanese's modern cultural renaissance after the bubble meant you are as limp dicked as the general populace for underlying social conditioning and cohesion lmao
Not really a fuck you it displays a lack of trust which yeah if we are going to fight or have fought I'm not going to trust you, let the gen pop do their little bows but if your a fighter never take your eyes off your opponent.
It's actually the same actress
then why did chozen and daniel bow while looking at each other in the end?
He's from Twisted Sister. He testified before congress that music lyrics were art. He's one of the reasons there's no actual music censorship in this country.
The actor Will Smith is a producer on the show, he got the rights to the Karate Kid franchise years ago.
So he could produce the remake with his son in the lead. Yup.
@@babs3241 Not a bad movie but it has no right calling itself "Karate Kid"
Roshi is right. THE Will Smith is an Executive Producer on this show.
I'm just as surprised that the fresh prince is executive producer.
“Dude know how much Will smiths are probably on this planet earth”
Things you never realize but will never forget
If you remember from KK2, Miyagi's father taught BOTH his son and Sato, breaking the tradition that Miyagi-do is based from father to son therefore Sato's dojo was based in Miyagi-do, from the beginning, Chozen has always been a Miyagi-do practitioner.
Also, Kreese may be a piece of shit but he isn't gonna go around hitting women. Remember he helped Tory and when he was young he protected the girl from her boyfriend, plus he was made fun of because of his mother's mental problems he ain't about that stuff.
He's also a schemer more than anything these days. Why strike her when he could play a long con?
Ironically, that Miyagi tradition is inaccurate to real history. Historically, karate masters _never_ trained their own kids, at least not from the jump, and sent them to a different master they knew so they could get fair and proper instruction and diversify their styles.
I lost my mind when Yuna showed up to save Daniel's company for saving her life all those years ago. It all comes full circle. Man I love Karate Kid 2!
*16:58*
That surprisingly IS the same actress. That's the great thing about Cobra Kai. If they can get the actor/actress back, they will bring that character back. But if they can't get the actor back, they won't replace them with someone else. They'll just write them out.
Lupa is right....I remember back in like 2008 I was hosting at a restaurant. This party was stressing about a table on this dudes birthday. I made sure they got free cocktails for waiting, kept them posted on a few problems we were having before they got sat at their table, etc. Fast forward, 2010, place I'm working closes down. Go to a new restaurant to try to get a job as a bartender. The General Manager at the new place is the guy I help on his birthday at my old spot, making sure they had a great experience. Got the job on the spot.
Great story! Thanks for sharing 😊
COBRA KAI THREE TIMES A WEEK YESS WE WON 😭😭🙏🏾🙏🏾
I think in a small, twisted way, Kreese actually respects Amanda because she has the guts to come to his turf and, more importantly, she strikes first (something Daniel has always refused to do).
She's Cobra Kai material!
@@Siddhartha92 honestly, I don't want to put some stuff because of spoilers, but Kreese calling her "feisty" and Johnny laughing at Amanda's angry outburst toward Kreese in a later episode show both Kreese and Johnny probably think she's a natural Cobra.
There are video compilations of all the times Johnny and Amanda get along like best friends, which is hilarious, because Johnny can hardly stand the other LaRusso's.
6:53 might go down as top 10 moments on this reaction channel forever im still dying 😂😂😂😂😂
Lupa is hilarious!
The woman that plays Yuna IS the same actress, Traci Toguchi, credited as "Girl Bell Ringer" in The Karate Kid Part 2.
I love how this episode had all the Miyagi-Dos - Robby, Sam and Daniel - going on the offensive for the first time in the series (besides Robby, lol). Best episode of the season imo.
Chosen: “Stop trying to hit me and hit me!” 8:48
Ok Morpheus!
I always love the 5th episode of each season, they are always a turning point. Season 4's finale was one of the best.
I can't wait for their s4 reaction
I just watched ep9 and watching the finale after work! Why is this show so GOOOOOOD!?
@@317cmrogers Fr man I finished the show yesterday it’s really good
Such a great season🙌🏾😩
@Shawn Kuhn *spoiler alert*
"love you too, Robby"
Me: 😭😭😭
Y’all need to watch season 4 immediately, I’ve have to say that it’s so much better than three seasons, also season 5 is coming this year.
So far I still think season 2 is best
When?
@@higherchd1 I want to hear why though 🤣🤣.
Traci Toguchi played Yuna in Karate Kid 2 and somehow they managed to bring her back as an adult for this.
Will smith is an executive producer cuz he owns the karate kid franchise when Jayden smith was in the 2010 karate kid remake
I reckon that magical Miyagi healing technique will be something we see in the last season.
The whole arcade started really good for Sam and Miyagi-Do, but once Toey showed up, Cobra Kai started to win, and Miyagi-Do losing.
You can also tell on Hawks face that he does regret breaking Dimitri's arm.
Miguel moving his foot was awesome, and subverts the expectations that Daniel will heal him.
Also, the Daniel vs Chosen fight was cool "Honk"
Chozen is always epic, I can’t wait for y’all to catch up on this show!!!
I’ve been waiting to see the arcade fight for a while. Hawk breaking Dimitri’s arm is horrifying.
Lupa had me dyeing at 6:54
As far as I know the girl that Daniel saved is the same actress. The writers made a point to try and find the original actors for the legacy characters
Season 4 is the best one so far!!! There are so many plot twists, so I expect you guys minds to get clapped 😁.
Word, I just finished watching it and gotta say, dam it just gets better
Johnny seeing ali's picture, Daniel seeing the girl he saved from part 2 coming back to help her. I love what this show is doing taking everything from the old movies and letting us know what had happened too them this show is too good!
What's great is they don't just bring the old character back just to bring them back, they play an actual role in the story.
This is no longer amazing... It's become an "epic"
Writers who really give a shit
It's like everyone knew he was gonna "honk" him and the shit is still hilarious as hell🤣🤣
6:22 The SACRED TEXTS! Of MIYAGI-DO KARATE!
Next episode: “Will Smith will be joining us in the dojo”
Next season: “Skynet needs your karate skills”
There is a lot of linage between the two. They are literally cousins through a master apprentice chain. Sato and Miyagi were trained by Miyagi's father; Sato taught his nephew Chozen and Miyagi trained Daniel. So when they were fighting 30 years ago they were both using Miyagi-do hence why Chozen didn't run into the Crane kick. He recognized it and countered.
Half expected Johnny to throw Miguel into a pool, while yelling "drowning is for p***y's"
Its the actual Will Smith who's a producer for cobra kai
The actual Will Smith IS a Producer on the show. DJ Jazzy Jeff got thrown out of the house, because "Jazz", was not allowed on the show, only Rock Music... 🤣
It is The Will Smith. He had the rights because of the Jayden Smith karate kid movie with Jackie Chan. He isn't actively involved but he gets a producer credit because he has the rights.
It's just like Sheeri said: you start off with a kick to let them know you're serious about things going down from the first episode reaction. XD
Will smith's production company still has the rights to the franchise from making the 2010 reboot. that's why he appears as an executive producer.
Y’all are clapped with these predictions it’s crazy😭
sheera with the blick bam bam bam bam bam LOOL
To everyone that thinks that Demetri deserved what happened to him, YOU'RE SICK!!!
Also I do feel for Sam this season.
That’s what happens when you run with karate gangs
Also probably haven't had a body part broken before. That shit is so painful lol I broke my ankle a couple years ago and I was in complete shock, pretty much the only reason I wasn't crying like a little baby lol
Man I would of felt bad for demetri if he wasn’t talking shit all the time it would of been way different if he was a quiet kid and was getting bullied cause if you don’t want to get hit why are you always talking crazy
@@biglittlegaming5826 His sassy nature is probably a defense mechanism because he was bullied. I was the same way but it doesn't justify people being cruel to him. He's still just a person that never meant any harm.
@@augustinensang3109 its not a defence though it just makes people want to beat him up more
Okay Sheera gotta stop with these predictions each episode 😂 like if at least one of them is right people be saying “she can predict the future”
6:54 OMFG😭😭😭😭😭 IM CRYING HOLY SHIT😂😂💀
Will Smith is an executive producer.. Remember he executive produced the KK remake with his son. He is invested in the IP of Karate Kid.
Miyagi do should’ve pulled up with that 9mm karate🤷🏽♂️
At his BIG AGE, Daniel still needs post-mortem advice to understand that you something HAVE to strike first!
It takes all of season 4 for him to actually acknowledge that. Dude is stubborn.
Sheera literally calls everything! The Sheerigan is real!
It IS the same actress who played the little girl Daniel saved in Karate Kid II...Traci Toguchi.
"Is this Lynyrd Skynyrd?" 😂
That is the original actress, Traci Toguchi, that was the girl Yuna from Karate Kid 2.
This reaction made me giggle so hard. When you kept getting the band's name wrong im dead....😂😂🤣
my bf just tested positive for covid and I'm waiting on my test. This is what I needed right now...
Take care, be well.
@@omgbygollywow oh thank you so much
Welp, we can now all agree that Demetris got a lucky shot on Hawk in Season 2.
6:54 has me rolling 😂 roshis reaction made it hilarious
Can't wait for the S4 reaction. 💪😤
I was just looking at y'alls channel 2min ago to see if you had posted episode 5 reaction yet 🤣😂
Will smith owns karate kid. That’s why he’s an executive producer because he owns the franchise that’s also the same reason his son was in the remake
"Do you know how many Will Smiths there probably are on planet Earth?"
Doesnt matter, there was only one Tupac Shakur - Jada Pinkett Smith (probably)
never clicked so fast in a notification!
When you're here 20 seconds in
Yes, the little girl from Karate Kid 2 is the same actress that plays her as an adult in this episode
Most folks forgot so soon. Hawk just did what Miguel didn't. He finished the fight the exact same way. Except Hawk showed No Mercy.
The Cobra Kai's "learned their lesson" from what happened to Miguel. The trauma is driving them too as well as Kreese's. manipulations.
😁After 3x through. Subtext...
just wait til tall get to season 4 its crazy
The ACTUAL Will Smith is a producer on this show
It’s totally Will Smith. He owns part of the rights from when his kid did the remake and he’s been a executive producer since season 1.
Yo. This is the best, y'all are hilarious, and I am now subscribed.
It's 100% the same actress, Tracy Toguchi. They most likely wouldn't have brought the character back if they couldn't get the actress.
Nope, that's the very same girl! Cobra Kai don't fuck around with these cameos.
Like, I don't think anyone would've been upset if they'd recast Johnny's old Cobra Kai buddies, but they went and got the originals. Because that's just how they roll.
Damn Hawk really said “You must be very proud of these arms of yours. You must be very *ATTACHED* to them”
Roshi the Will Smith is THE Will Smith remember his son was in one of the movies as the main character
Broooo I can’t contain myself when Lupa says « that 9 millimeter karate » 😂😂
Next episode I bet money Roshi gonna support. I know cuz I did too
Yep
I forgot, what happens?
When Hawk destroys the fat bully
Ayyy new reaction of cobra Kai less gooo
That song tho @5:46
19:00 Just noticed that its the same actress as madelyn stillwell from the boys.
Chozen is a dope combo of Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee
Loved S4 of this show but man, S3 still is the best season for me. I’m super glad y’all are reacting to this whole series!!
Dee Snider is in a band called Twisted Sister and fun fact William Zabka (Johnny) knows him in real life!
The part where Chozen went all Ty Lee on him with the Chi-blocking (I mean pressure points) and then honked his nose was the best moment of this season. Not that there aren't more good ones coming up, but it was the highlight of an episode that was probably the most kick-ass till the season finale.
6:52 IM DYING
great reaction! I really enjoyed the revisiting of the Okinawa aspects of KK2 and bringing back some of the classic characters as well. The one hanging thread that I was bummed that we never got any closure on was while we know that Mr Miyagi and Yukie stayed in touch (through letters), I was/am curious as to why they never got together: either marry or just live with each other in either location... or it just isn't explained if they ever tried. It seems sad if they never tried after KK2... love how this series revisits/recaptures/reconciles some of the best aspects of the movies...
So i finished season 4 and i just found this reaction channel, now imma have to binge watch all the cobra kai reactions😁. i love it keep it up guys
to answer your question, yes, it's the ACTUAL child actor they got as the girl in karate kid 2. It's incredible.
11:45 Strike first 11:47 Strike hard 11:49 No mercy
Finally 3 episodes a week. Season 4 was nutty!
-Will Smith production company owns the rights to Karate Kid.
-His brother-in-law Caleeb Pikett is the Head of creative for Overbrook (Smiths company).
-They pitched the show to Caleeb, and he was 100% down for it and was excited to get it in production.
-Caleeb was described as "he became a champion for the show when pitching it with higher ups."
Roshi holding Led Zeppelin and Metallica😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂14:43 I’m dead
3:09 actually he is an executive producer on this show since the beginning
Just so you guys know, it was in fact the same actress who was the little girl Daniel saved from the typhoon - her name is Traci Toguchi....
“Skynet called, they need you” 😂😂😂
Here's an explanation as to why Will Smith is credited as an EP of Cobra Kai:
"Smith's involvement in Cobra Kai stems from the 2010 Karate Kid reboot starring Jackie Chan and Will's son, Jaden Smith. Sony owned the Karate Kid franchise when the first four movies were made, but Smith's production company Overbrook Entertainment acquired the rights to spearhead the reboot. Overbrook's ownership of the franchise rights did not lapse despite never making a sequel to the reboot, so this required the studio to okay Cobra Kai. As the co-founder of the company, Smith receives an executive producer credit on the series."
