Great work as always Vinny and Johnny. You are correct that bigger issues need more investigating and more transparency to make the sport more appealing to punters. I dont agree with the playing down of the importance of accurate race distances. 9 yards over 7 furlongs would equate to about 0.5 seconds or two to three lengths depending on your measurement of a length. The difference between a 97 speed figure and a 100 is big enough to sway punters from winners to losers. It's all relevant and accuracy of data is a big problem in Irish racing.

Patrick was really upfront about his ride in the Galway plate. This jockey is always honest about his affairs. Proper successor to his Father, Willie and a man of integrity.

Regarding the Brazil affair thankyou both for questioning this horses running on the thursday. You are the only two people I have seen anywhere talking about it. I have never backed this horse ever so I am not talking through my pocket but to see everyone full of praise after it's win on Friday and hardly mentioning its running the day before. That horse was nowhere near put into that race on Thursday (I have watched the race a few times since) and That horse was not ridden to finish in the best position possible. Do you think it is simply because of this horses connections that it's Thursdays running was simply brushed under the carpet?
