“I want to say thank you to Danny for teaching me that judgment and shame is a lonely place but compassion and grace is where we can all meet” - Chills! Well deserved
Beef swept the “Big 5” categories in the Limited Series categories: Best Limited Series, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Screenplay and the show deserves to win all of it!
“Beef” was actually pretty popular when it was first released on Netflix. It had strong viewerships in its first months of release and a lot of people were talking about it on social media, well mostly the Asian American community on social media.
A true actor and an excellent artistic endeavor in the industry. He couldn't be better rewarded for his efforts, and I'm happy for Steven. Congratulations. 😁😁
I literally gave him a standing ovation when his name was called. Been a fan since day one when he showed up on our tv screens portraying Glenn Rhee in The Walking Dead. This award is well deserved and long over due for the captivating talent he brings to the tv screen portraying each character bringing them to life. Congrats Steven!!!
Well deserved. Beef is full of flawed, interesting characters that had me so beyond frustrated with their choices, but also full of empathy for them. Danny was the best of them, because of Steven.
Steven Yuen is that genuine nice guy with no haters, if someone talk shit about him the first reaction from everyone would be “what the fuck is wrong with you”
I think that “Dahmer” being released so early in October, unfortunately did affected Evan’s chances of winning in the following year. “Beef” benefited with its April release and was well received by both critics and audiences at the right moment during Emmy voting. I guess several Emmy voters have forgotten about “Dahmer” and focused all of their attention on the newer hit show that year. For me, it’s really hard to choose between Evan or Steven to win because they’re both were incredible in their respective shows and either of them would’ve been well deserved wins and much better choices than the previous 2 winners (Ewan McGregor for “Halston” or Michael Keaton for “Dopesick”). Both were good but both Evan and Steven were way better in my opinion!
스티븐연 고마워요. u know how impactful this will be to those other struggling korean youths adjusting in america, like how i did in my past. 당신같은분들 덕에, KOR-AMERICAN CULTURE도 더 rich 해지고 recognized되는것 같습니다. 항상 행복하세요:)
Beef is one of those rare series by a genius creator. Everything about the show was perfect and carefully crafted. After watching the show I thought it deserved all the awards so it's so rewarding to see it get all the recognition it deserves.

Words I would’ve added if I were him, “I would like to thank Jeffrey Dean Morgan for killing me on The Walking Dead. Sure, my “death” may have sent the show downhill afterwards but if not for Jeffrey I would not be here tonight”.
@@Neganfan The choice to kill Glenn is Steven’s. Not only that but this award is for BEEF not twd so why would spend his limited time thanking an actor on a show he hadn’t been on for years instead of thanking his family and the people involved in BEEF.
@@cthulhutube3839 Not exactly the creators of The Walking Dead almost chose not to kill Glenn. They changed the decision at the last minute, though, as they knew his death in the books had an impact on Maggie and they wanted to stay loyal to the source.
I think DanRad was one of those "just happy to be there" nominees lol but I'm glad he got in because he was superb as Weird Al and it's much harder to get recognized for comedy when dramas are in the same category. Usually even comedy performances that get nominated in the movie/miniseries/anthology category have some sincere dramatic element but Daniel in "Weird" is all silliness.
@dlh7989- I kinda agree what your saying. Steven Yeun’s performance in “Beef” was both comedic and dramatic, so that probably had helped his performance stand out more than the other nominees where their roles were either mostly comedic or dramatic.

I guess several Emmy voters have forgotten about “Dahmer” and focused all of their attention on the newer hit show during that year. Niecy Nash’s win was a bit of the exception due to that her category being less competitive than the “Best Actor” category and there was the “overdue” narrative to finally give her, her first Emmy win for her career longevity and also for her two previous (and well deserved) nominations for “Getting On” and “When They See Us”.

I really enjoyed Evan Peters' role, but if you're tracking awards shows, Yeun had the momentum of the whole cast and writing. Beef had wider appeal moreso than Monster. Just my two cents.
@@Shaz-Daz Actually, I like Steven as an actor, I loved him in TWD. But this was not it. The amount of preparation it must've took one of them, is not nearly as close as it took the other one, I'm sure. On top of that, Evan has to deal with a lot of ptsd, mental traumas etc. (which Evan himself said like a billion times) So, no I will not get over it!

Steven Yeun is undeniably the best actor/actress to come out of The Walking Dead with his Oscar nom and now an Emmy win. Well deserved
And bernthal
And we loved him in The Walking Dead too!
actress?
His body if work since leaving TWD is extraordinary; his choices really play to his strengths as an artist.
Mc Dermott is @ BEST NON-+'d by Anderson's obnoxious antics. 😵💫🤮😩👎💣

Such a spectacular show and I don’t ever hear people talk about it. I’m so pleased for it to be recognized!!

He seems like the kindest guy ever. So thoughtful. So grounded.
So awesome to see Steven do work since walking dead. Incredibly proud of him. He deserves all the recognition.
His best work was in Burning imo
@slee2695- I thought he was amazing in “Minari”, my personal pick for his best performance.
A true actor and an excellent artistic endeavor in the industry. He couldn't be better rewarded for his efforts, and I'm happy for Steven. Congratulations. 😁😁
He definitely had the best career out of all of the actors in “The Walking Dead”.
Fully deserved. Steven's performance in Beef moved me, I still can't watch the church scene without sobbing.

They created the beef
what an actor! never been disappointed in his performance no matter how big or small
so happy for him 🎉
im so happy he won, even tho i honestly wish everyone could win but my hopes was for Steven
Love Steven and thought it was one of the best speeches. It was a very considered speech ❤❤❤❤
Steven Yuen is that genuine nice guy with no haters, if someone talk shit about him the first reaction from everyone would be “what the fuck is wrong with you”
I still think Evan Peters should have one some things too… he was exceptional ❤
He was good too. But Steven deserves it more
EXACTLY
He won for Mare of Easttown which he deserved WAY more than Dahmer

I binged watched beef in 1 night. It was worth it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Samesies!! So good!!
Wow so proud of you man. So happy to see someone who look like us won this Awards
Yes lets go Steven. Usually actors from a long running series dont find any work or dont star in good movies or series.
Glad hes winning.
I'm so damn glad he won this! That first church scene alone could have won him this award, but he was so good throughout the whole series!
You deserve it so much Glenn!!!! 😭❤️🎉

Will have to watch it
Great show. Came outta nowhere. Love his voice work in Invincible too!
Evan He is already a winner by being nominated in that category 🤩
He is trying to hard not to cry so I cry. Glenn always making us cry
Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Steven Yeun? Not a bad resume.
He has a golden heart.
So proud of you Glenn
Well deserved❤
Well deserved. Happy for Steven!
My boy glenn. Finally

Amazing show and felt fresh and new
Congratulations to Steven! 👏🏽
Just finished watching Beef now. Well-deserved.
Steven yeun is the best❤
I'm so proud of him 🫶🥹 Stay winning Steven!
God.. this set of nominees is STACKED! Could have gone to anyone of them easily. I also loved Taron in Blackbird.
Steven is really good in Beef, congrats man 👏🏼
ugh what I would have given to see Evan Peters win this especially when the whole bit was ahs
So happy for Steve
Came a long way. Even Negan couldn’t keep you down😉
Congrats
my fav is evan peters, i was cheering for him, but it’s so clear that steven deserves it. he’s such an amazing person. i love him!
Steven's acting was extraordinary in BFF🎉🎉🎉
Golden Globe, Critics Choice, Emmy… SAG next. He’s one of the most gifted actors working today.
The gimp in the background was a nice touch . Didn’t know it was Anthony Anderson.
Congrats to all the nominees.
Evan Peters is also so good.
this show was phenomenal, and Steven was brilliant, as well as ALi!
Omg this wouldve been so fucking iconic if Evan was the winner 2:15
IKR!!???
Well deserved
Well deserved!
Emmy & Golden Globe🎉
lets go, Steven Yeun!
The Evan peters for me is the best actor in actually ❤ Love u Evan
The real winner 😢❤❤❤❤
Me alegra mucho que esté triunfando después que salió de The Walking Dead❤ te amamos Steve
most deserved win for Steven!
I though Evan would’ve gotten it
Ese premio era para Evan Peters 🏆 por su excelente actuación
I’m so FUCKING proud of him. Danny is such an incredible character.
I enjoyed the Beef series, but Evan Peters should have won. His portrayal of Dahmer was amazing. Performance of the year.
The better show put it over the edge

How’s no one talking about Anthony Anderson’s tree trunk??
Would have been funny if everyone that won for beef said “ I’d like to thank chicken”.
Can't believe he won against such big names like evan peters and daniel radcliff, incredible.
Love him
Uhuuuulllll essa serie é demais
Damn, I was rooting for Evan Peters 😢
It was a really stacked category that year!
It was for evan but glad for steven
Glenn!!
GLENN RHEE

Undoubtedly he was good .. but Evan peters truly deserved to win... He was the best in Dahmer...
i thought that was dermot mulroney
Damn they really put Anthony Anderson in a gimp suit
Dont get me wrong i Love steven and loved beef but honestly ewan was robbed here. He gave his heart and soul to play dahmer. Damn what a perfomance.
Ik Dahmer was such a big role and deserved to win..at least I think

Evan should win
It was a still a crime for it to be ahs themed and not have the ahs king win
Este premio tuvo que haber sido para Evan. Y todos lo sabíamos.
I love Steven Yeun but I didn’t know Evan Peters was nominated. Evan Peters definitely deserved the Emmy more
You didn’t know he was nominated but Evan “definitely deserved it”. Ok lmao

Evan deserved it....Emmy literally robbed him
Evan for the fan win ❤ 🏆
That would have gone to your mom. Evan missed out unfortunately
Evan should've won this. But he already has an emmy so I'm ok.
It was Evan Peters Not Yeun
I love Steven I know him since twd but Even Peters should have won, Dahmer is one the best performances ever, really really unfair, it's oscar worthy
