I actually just bought the Origins C6/R6 Zaku 2, gonna build it tonight! From what I’ve seen in other reviews, this.....along with the Char variant, is THE DEFINITIVE Zaku HG! Good luck with your new backlog of kits and keep up the great work on your channel!!

The anime you’re thinking of is Nichijou! It’s a great anime, I highly recommend it. I’m pretty sure it was the same artist that made that box cover, it’s way too similar.

The Hyaku Shiki revive is pretty awesome! Looks good in every pose from all angles.
And I love the hg O Gundam. Probably one of the most flexible high grades, especially when it came out!
Favorite part of the video was the camera focusing after you ordered it to lmao.
Just built that Hyaku Shiki kit this week coincidentally. Great HG. If you paint it it will be a fantastic looking kit. I'm ok with the curry color, I just detailed everything and slapped the stickers on it.
If the flexible sandpaper is anything like the sanding buffers that I use, then they'll probably have a tendency to round out the harder edges.

I have to agree with you meli, I was hesitant about starting HG... Now I love them. I don't really customize them, but I kinda feel like they dont really need it that much.
2:19 I have a copy of that Hyaku Shiki, while I'm in planning stages of how to paint it after looking a electroplating video. 17:31 my first Gundam Wing kit was the Epyon while I still didn't have cable when it was on the air. I look forward to seeing the next videos.
Nice and there is a Zaku pool floatie that I saw a store have and it is pretty big.
Put a couple of small screws or BB s in your paint jars to keep the paint fresh and ready all you have to do is shake it your good to go
Hearing your HG story I gotta recommend you to the HG Hazel line. Really all the Titans Test Team kits. Once you see how awesome those kits are you will never stop seeking out Titans suits. The line is has been going strong since 2005, they are all modular with eachother, and with the Primrose and Hrududus there are some awesome combination potentials. Only for the hardcore check it.

Just a modeling tip...you can save a ton of money on paints by using craft paints and Krylon primer. They are available at walmart and work just as well.
I’ve used it before but I tend to not have good results with it often

I’m considering airbrushing Molotow chrome over Gundam parts and then spraying a clear yellow acrylic over it to maintain the chrome effect. After that, hit it with a clear acrylic. I’m hoping it works. Any other paint base will fog the chrome.

All Origin kits are absolutely worth money and assembly. They really are a standout anomaly in the entire HGUC series in terms of quality. To me it seemed as if Bandai decided to run quite a number of design experiments on those kits, see how it goes, and cherrypick-n'-scale the nicely done elements to other grades.
You should check out the Bandai 30 Minute Mission models. Gonna do some major kitbashing . with your Hugh collection you probably have a bunch of extra pieces to spare.

You should watch Zeta! If you're a Char fan, I highly recommend it as he was actually a good guy and probably one of the high moments of his character arc (a tragic sociopath in my opinion) in the UC timeline.

Meli, I really wanna get started on Gunpla but I wanted to know if you can make a video preserving a built and posed Gundam in clear epoxy resin. I bought deathscythe and want to submerge him in clear epoxy resin. Have you ever thought of doing this?

I get two boxes a week at least from Newtype 🤦🏻♂️😂...you should have got the other bottle of Neo Sol though, less harsh and you can put it over existing paint. That bottle has ammonia in it, the more expensive one is water based. Also, the Godhand sandpaper, if you want them to last 100x longer, get a mr clean magic eraser to clean them, it really is magic lol the tweezers are amazing though. Really wanna see how the hiyaku shiki turns out though!

True about the Origin HGs as well, I'm new to the hobby and have only made 2 kits so far but First one was the 00 Diver and second was the Chars Zaku 2 from Origin and it's amazing! Decently stiff joints, super poseable, heaps of details and just looks BAD ASS!
I had a question though, I'm about to get into Airbrushing and was wondering if there is a reason to go for Spray can topcoats/primers instead of just getting Varnish/Topcoat/Primers for the airbrush? TY in advance guys and gals :D

no real difference and price point is about the same, but its easier to control a rattlecan than an airbrush. so while you get more overspray the rattlecan takes a little less patience. also, in the case of primers, some pigments are too thick to pass through fine needles so you have to be a little more selective about what you buy. also since airbrushing is done in multiple coats, even when it's a top coat, the clear nature of the coat can make it difficult to tell what has been covered appropriately and what isn't. however on the rattlecan side, it's easier to go overboard.
@@Draca3 That's super helpful TY! I was going to skip spray cans but I think I might get them to give them a go after reading that, but also buy a couple small Airbrush primer/top coat pots just to try it.
