My favorite place to buy kits when im in tokyo. This store is called Yodobashi and there are several locations throughout Japan. Hope you guys liked the vlog. The second store is actually Gundam Front in Diver City. Another awesome place to check out if you are ever in Japan!

Built a couple in middle school in late 90s lol just started my Gunpla journey once again. RG RX-78-2. Thinking of getting the G40 industrial HG, I have a soft spot for the o.g. GUNDAM lol. Very cool vid and super fun to watch! Any recommendations for future builds would be greatly appreciated!!! Too many to choose from lol. I don’t how you didn’t spontaneously combust the second you walked in there from all the overwhelming awesome lmao. 👍👍👍

Yodobashi! It's a Gunpla heaven indeed! and other hobby stuff as well. Two hours passed in an instant when I went there. Bic camera isn't a bad place either when your in the area.
Definitely worth checking out Mandarake in Nakano. They have a whole store dedicated to reduced price Gundam (packaging slightly damaged etc) I picked up 2 MG gundams for an absolute steal while i was there!

Whenever I watch Gundam Episodes/Series since I was I child I get excited and boost-up my energy level. But now whenever I watch Gunpla Meli I felt excited and pumped-up as well, but my eyes felt so tired and I've gone weak...seems my energy was draining...I don't know why, it's so weird...LOL!

I went to Japan two years ago and rewatching this is making me miss it again. I wasn't into Gundam at the time but got a SD RX-78 cause it was $5. My friend had bought me an SD Astray when he went to Hong Kong 15 years ago when we were kids.
If i were in a store like that literally my wallet would be shouting “YAAAAMMMMMEEEERRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOO”

took almost 2 hours for me until decide to bought MG Sazabi and S Gundam at Yodobashi, so hard to decide which kit to buy with limited money
In the past I never really know what to buy back home after visiting east Asia, but you remind me that my Gundam pilgrimage and actually any mecha armored core etc, must continue.
Otherwise waste of the plane ticket!
Just an example.. decade ago MG Gundam heavy arms EW and these other four protagonist about 20 dollar each in Japan and region.
Europe ,North Americas 70 dollar WTF!!!!

you know I used to love playing gachapon, until one day when I was in Japan, I realised that I can buy few MGs with all of those money I used for gachapon during my stay in japan, then I stopped playing gachapon since then, maybe once or twice, but that's it, and gachapon in Indonesia is like 60% more expensive (that adds up a lot)
I am hoping I can take more time in Kyoto or Tokyo and get some new kits, I might need 3-4 days to look around akiba, ikebukuro (did you go to the yamada denki in ikebukuro? it has very cheap and complete gundam collections, it is heaven) denden town and nakano broadway for more kits

Ahh yes yodobashi camera, a heaven for hobbyists. Bought my very first gunpla there, a RG aile strike.
The one thing that surprised my at that shop that they still had EUREKA SEVEN Nirvash model kits and som of you nou that hey are made 15 years ago. The shop is overall a heaven for model kit builders.
This is crazy, this is the paradise heaven of Gunpla you can see everything and buy everything, if you have one part og gunpla broken you should not worry about, coz you can go to the gunpla modelkits store anytime. But unfortunately only in Japan you can do that. By the way nice video.

cameraman moves camera too often and or too quickly. should do slow panning shots of what you yourself would consider highlights. not the whole store really fast so noone can see anythiing.

Oh boy...the battle to resist is going to be an all out war internally for me. My fanboy self vs my rational self. It's going to get ugly internally but I know that I'm going to have to pass on some of the stuff. (Only going to be there for 3-4 days).

Question: How do you transport your purchases back home? Both trips, many if not most of my boxes were dinged from having to cram them into my luggage.

The Gundam models at Yodabashi are absolutely amazing. They even have some of the mobile suit models from the original TV series, the very first one aired 40 years ago.
