Week 1: Language Endangerment and Documentation (2024 Language Documentation Webinars)

Welcome to the 2024 Language Documentation Training Webinars! This week, in a session led by Dr. Anna Belew, we introduce the issue of language endangerment, and the practice of language documentation: making good records of your language. These records can be used for creating learning materials, raising awareness of your language, doing linguistic research, and more!
These webinars are co-hosted by the Endangered Languages Project (www.endangeredlanguages.com) and the Language Documentation Training Center at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (www.ldtc.org).
