The "swampy" thing is the "Wattenmeer", something pretty unique at the northsea coast. Basically the water retreats extremely far, leaving a huge habitat for all kind of animals. But never go there on your own and always with someone who knows this area, because the water will be back very fast and you really don't want to get caught out there.

@@ShaeDerEinzige Yeah, and sadly it will be gone soon...if the climate gets warmer and warmer and the water keeps rising, the Halligen (man made islands in the Wattenmeer, and yes, there are people living on them) will vanish. Well, not really manmade, but the people living there needed to create protections for their houses because the islands pretty much get flooded otherwise during the tides. Here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halligen

    • @RustyDust101
      @RustyDust101 3 года назад +11

It is the largest flood plain in the world. The water during low tide recedes out several kilometers exposing the sea floor. The receding waters have an absolutely insane power, so don't be caught in one of the low-cut channels, called Priel, in the sand during low tide because the water will drag you out into the sea with absolutely NO chance of swimming against the current.
Only in off-running low tide should you enter, and only with a local guide who really knows his stuff. Because you have to check daily for the tidal calendar as it changes with the phases of the moon. The returning water is obviously also a danger, as it easily rises above head level of even the tallest person, also with massive currents, that unfortunately, ALSO drag you out into the sea due to the minute but significant height differences of sand dunes.
The ecosystem is very specialised to cope with the continually changing environment of six hours covered with water and open-air roughly every six hours.
But during the intermittent hours it is a wonderful place to have a Wattwanderung, a flood plain hike.

we are used to it. My family lives in places we owned for 700 years or more. that is not typicall but nowhere rare. The oldest building in my hometown is nearly 1,000 years old and is in use as a museum. And all the other things like landscape, scenery, history or many more looks normal to us. But for foreigners...The f...New York has the central park and most germans shrug their head because they live in a dammned park. Even the biggest cities are like a park. We do not see that because we are used to it. And Germany, even if you can call it young for a nation looks back at 2,000 years of history alone since and with the roman empire. But again, we are used to it. And you are right, many people do not see the beauty or know much about the history. Quite normal to people living in their places but not for others.

collect the orally saved myths and folk tales from the 6th to 16th century. Later in life they became professors in Göttingen, ab beautiful little university town in south lower saxony. One of the brothers was basically stating first human rights in the Frankfurter Nationalversammlung which was a first attempt by people to be heard and influence politics even though Germany at that time was still a monarchy.
Until this day you can drive a route called "Märchenstrasse" (the fairy tale road) which is located in the south of lower saxony and passes many places where the brothers Grimm got their tales from listing to the elders of those communities.
Tourists can enjoy medieval towns famous for certain tales like Red Riding hood, Cinderella and Hansel & Gretel along the river Weser with the typical woodframe houses from the "Weser Renaissance". The building at 10:08 is the Elbphilharmonie a concert hall in Hamburg. The "swampy" thing at 12:02 is the Wadden See (Wattenmeer) at the coast of the North Sea. At Low Tide you can walk from Island to Island (the Halligs) but please don't do that without a guide, otherwise you could drown easily in one of the deeper pools that still remain and when you don't know when the High Tide comes it can become fatal. You basicly walk on the bottom of the ocean.
The castle at 15:10 is the Moritzburg in Saxony. After searching a bit I found the city at 5:27 it is Lübeck.

If you are crossing the bridges at night it looks incredible. Hey Shady Ich finde es richtig cool dass du Deutschland zeigst, wie es wirklich ist.
Und es in die ganze Welt raus trägst, und mit Leidenschaft und Gefühl präsentierst…👍
    You’re really a cool guy 😎
Hey Shady I think it's really cool that you show Germany how it really is.
And carrying it out all over the world, and presenting with passion and feeling… 👍
Du bist echt ein klasse Typ😎
The castles of the castles, or the Cologne Cathedral with its beautiful skyline, mirrored on the Rhine… beautiful to see this as well 😊
We see millennia of old German history here. Kings and princes shaped this land with pride and honor.
At Loreley with Siegfried and Nibelungen-Sage.
Or in 9 AD as the Old Germanic with just 500 soldiers, fighting and victorious against the legions of the Romans by 15,000 soldiers in the Teutoburg Forest.
It is nice that we get to know each other like this with the new media RUclips, see the truth and yet all friends are…and no longer need to know the propaganda of politics and world domination.
Thank you so much and joyning for your next video 😁👍

The Island in the sea 14.22 is called Helgoland it is the only offshore Island of Germany. After Ww2 Britan possessed it and used it as a Bomb test side. Interesting fun Fact Werner Heisenberg was send here fore helth reasons because of the good air quality. During his stay on Helgoland he discovered Quantom Mechanik.
