DodgeRam 1500 front grill upgrade

In today’s video, we’re installing a new front grille on the front of a Dodge Ram 1500. This has come from AliExpress and took a couple of months to arrive, but arrive it did. It’s a simple job on a vehicle like this because its almost as if the design engineers had driveway modifications and repair in mind. A small handful of nuts to remove and the grille is off. The replacement comes with a whole raft of new stainless-steel fittings including nyloc nuts to fit the new grille with. This grille has three orange marker lights in it too, you know, to make it look even more hill billy (I do not apologise for the music choice in this video lol). These have waterproof Deutsch connectors pre-wired, so are of decent quality. Once we had run the wiring loom through the bonnet skin, we then had to extend the cables to account for the size of the vehicle. We did this using low profile, environmentally sealed inline splices. These are commonly used in my other line of work, the aviation industry. When attached to the positive supply for the side lights and the negative to the chassis, the lights work just fine, as seen in the video.
