- I took my boys fishing and we found a crazy foot bridge. At first, didn’t think we were going to catch any trout. Then things took a turn and it got hot. We spent the day in beautiful West North Carolina along some of the most lovely rivers we have here. Nestled in the Appalachian mountains, we walked through brush, and found the fish.
I’m crying with so much joy and thankfulness! Art, your sons need this in their lives. Times races by and these moments cannot be gotten back. I’m so so proud of where you are and the priorities you are setting to spend time with your family. 👏 🙌 🎣 👦 👦 👦
My grandsons missed out on this when their dad checked out and never got better. This did my heart so much good seeing you healing and pushing forward!

I struggle with chronic medical issues due to being born with a disability. I fail at something every single day. However, I don't stop trying, & _that's_ what sticks with my family; not my failures.
Not one of us has a 100% smooth ride in this life. Demonstrating to your family all that you are consistently doing to come back from your struggle (& your absence) will serve them well in more ways than you can even imagine.
Failing means you at least TRIED. I have to tell myself that every single day and remind myself to celebrate what I do get accomplished💖 Lovely encouraging message😍

I hope you and Bri will hang in there together no matter how uncomfortable life can get. The children are more important than the parents being uncomfortable at times. This life is not always easy in marriage and you are constantly working through issues. There will be good seasons and seasons fraught with trials. I love that Arthur is reestablishing his relationship with the kids. I’ve seen scarier bridges over way higher places than that! They’ve popped up in videos here and there! I think Arthur and the three boys were the equivalent of 2 adults! 🤣🤣you may need to do a Daddy daughter event with your oldest daughter. I think the past year May have affected her way more than you realize!

This has been beautiful to see. Time like this spent with your children is priceless to both of you. It doesn’t surprise me that Wilder was the most interested and engaged. Don't underestimate girl anglers, boy! I spent my honey week ( we were given one week off work for wedding) fishing with my hubby. Caught quite a few rainbow trouts with bare hands:)) My daughter got quite serious about fishing, going to competitions... House does stink of baits from time to time, worms in my fridge, all good stuff, LOL
So enjoyed this video….and please tell Wilder I am one of those girls that have enjoyed fishing all my life…and I am old now. I felt that I was right there with you.❤
Art, you are such a great father, your prayers are being heard... You See!!!, what many don't understand is that for a child; this is their entire world, they still don't understand many and when their small world is chattered, it hurts them deeply, emotionally and leave many scars that they will struggle through their adulthood. What a wonderful way to spend time with your boys. Tell Wilder that I'm a girl and grew up fishing with my mother and my aunt! We fished all the time and I loved it. I wanted to be there fishing with you guys!
Been down by the river there at least a 100 times going from our blueberry farm down to Bville. I've always been terrified to walk on those swinging bridges. You guys are brave. It's always so very peaceful and cool down by these fishing and swimming holes. So glad to see you and the boys doing fun things and bonding at the same time. If I pass by someday as you're fishing I'll toot my horn!🤣🤣🐟🐟🐟

I’m laughing my head off. Grandma at 75. Watching your family for years. Loved when you said Bri wouldn’t walk across one of those bridges. I must say I wouldn’t blame here. I had 6 brothers and we traveled through George once. My brothers went across a valley on a rope bridge. It scared me so much. I went over a beautiful stone one and was stilled scared.

Hey, Art, an Bri,I was deathly afraid of bridges when I was a kid.
I hung out with the neighborhood boys, and they got me so I could cross. The only thing I can't do is health toe😳.

I love those swinging bridges. Loved crossing them as a child. We now go tubing up there and start right below that bridge.

The swinging bridge brought back memories of my childhood. Patapsco Valley State Park near Baltimore, MD had a very scary swinging bridge. Our family would picnic there and a trip across that scary bridge was always on the agenda. A hurricane took the bridge out and it was years before the state replaced it.

My father and my Brother John loved fishing. Nothing. I liked better than going down to the creek with my brother, john and fishing for hours. So many good times. You should have used that cheddar cheese to fish with. My brother used to catch trout with that all the time. It's really nice seeing you fish with the boys. It's going to be the best memories.🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣

My mom taught me how to fish. Some of my greatest memories are going to a local pond on her day off during the summer and fishing for catfish and perch. She made stink bait and they loved. The smellier the better she would say. Love seeing you doing this with the boys Arthur. The Lord is at work mending hearts and relationships.

We haven't gone fishing with our two oldest since they were tiny (like six and four. . and now they are 17 and 15). I think it's time. This looks so great. I love it. I loved how Art was like, "I can do it," with the bridge. Good showing your boys it is okay! We don't have bridges like this by us at all in NJ. We have one car bridges in some places but that's the closest. Wilder is a natural with fishing! Great job, kiddo. I am glad you had some male bonding with three of your four sons!

The memories that flood back. My grandpa was the one that took me fishing. It was always creek fishing and lots of hiking and stream jumping. I want to take my grandsons fishing.

Greetings from Northwest Ohio. We had a swinging bridge in our Willow Grove Park. A storm took it out 20 some years ago and it is just too expensive for our little village to replace it. And nowadays you have to have insurance as well.

We have the same bridge in my community. I live in rural new Brunswick canada. It was built for the people that lived on the other side to get across to the train station for their supplies many many years ago
