Yep, Solanke gone from my team. I now have Wissa, Haaland, Delap and a midfield of Salah, Palmer, Rogers and Mbeumo. Konate, Saliba and Robinson are my highest priced defenders but defences are basically pointless in FPL nowadays anyway.
Finally ignoring the content creators and going fully with my instinct for the rest of the season. Stop playing the fixtures and just play the best players in the game regardless if they have a tough game. Saka and Salah just proved that the best players will often rise to the challenge. Still gonna be tuning in for your content though Andy, keep it up :)
I don’t think any of them would tell you not to play the top players in the tough matches, they’d just say the top players are more likely to do better against weaker opposition.
you should have done this to begin with. obvious from first weeks to go cheap defence and stack premiums. content creators all terrible still playing the old game when pricing was uncompetitive and best choices were obvious. buy good players on good teams to attack. thats it. i have haaland palmer saka mbeumo salah welbeck and jiminez. thats all you need.

I sold Solanki in game week 9 for Wissa. My issue with Solanki is that the attackers next to him don’t really play for him and he has to drop deep to get the ball. He is not even a centre forward but a pure midfielder.
The case for selling Solanke to Cunha is you get CRY and SOU instead of AVL and IPS - so you're getting the more in form player with better short term and long term fixtures and for a cheaper price

If you have solanke just get rid of him, it’s not necessarily his fault but his teammates literally don’t pass him the ball in the final 3rd, they only pass from the defense line for him to basically be an outlet but attacking wise they seem to purposely not put him thru on goal, it’s strange. Just look at the goals he’s scored… a rebound from his team mates shot and him winning the ball during a corner
I might run salah palmer haaland and saka. I’m top 300k and for it to work all I’ll need is 3 of Konsa, Keane, Lewis or faes to play, with Raul and Semenyo/smithe rowe I’m not sure if the 4 is overkill, but there’s so many cheap defenders I can rotate for the year with the big guns keeping the points tally high
Have to respectfully disagree with the Solanke comments. I think based on how Spurs are playing overall, it’s hard to justify keeping him and to consider him as a “good” asset. He is now playing like Firmino under Liverpool. And when you compared him to DCL that is fair, however with how Everton play, at least the ball is going throw DCL and he is up high in their attacking phase rather than dropping deep like Solanke. We can’t look at Solankes attacking involvement per game and still think he is worth holding. Just my opinion and ultimately, you may be right in future.
I got DCL out for Cunha, we'll see how that turns out. I know he had a million chances but I just got tired of him and wolves fixtures are too good to ignore
Andy how important is bench depth for the upcoming schedule? Considering Greaves to Ait Nouri as I’m reluctant to sell Gabriel. This will improve my bench but prevent me from doing DCL to Jackson GW12. Thanks
Time to stop premium jumping. Just get Saka, Palmer and Salah in your team and play them every week. Ditch Haaland, not worth the price tag with the other strikers to choose from and the ceiling for strikers is lower than mids each week anyway

I think I would assuming you are keeping son for Ipswich and bringing palmer in gw12. You also get Cunha for back to back home games against bottom half teams

I sold Porro for Ait Nouri. And good riddance. That frees up enough to move McNeill (another waster) to Semenyo or Garnacho. Premium defs have simply not delivered since gw5. Better just to put the money into the premium mids and budget forwards that are actually delivering. The exception is Jackson. I opted for him over Solanke and I am happy to hold. On the subject of Liverpool, it must be mentioned that their fixture schedule between now and Christmas is horrible. The cracks are beginning to show and injuries are starting to build up. Lots of talk about moving to Salah but I would be hesitant. Lots of people went there in gw4 & gw5 and were rewarded with naff all.
Do you have Ait Nouri? All my defense are 4.5s. Collins, Digne, Ait Nouri, Faes, Greaves. I have fun switching them depending on the fixture difficulties. Looking to transfer in someone else for Faes or Greaves. You could look into those for Gabriel and open up more funds for other positions in your team

I’m not quite sure why you’re labelling Aston Villa at home as an easy fixture? They’ve consistently been the 4th best team in the league for just over 2 years now. Have one of the lowest big chances conceded this season, and have beaten spurs at their place for the past 2 seasons. Also have a stupidly impressive record in london in previous years. A very silly and naive take if you ask me.
