I saw this interview that Tessa and their mental prep coach Jean Francois Menard talk about the first practice they had after a three day rest in Seoul after the team events. He said that it was scary how good Scott and Tessa looked. JF said that all the judges and even the other coaches were watching Scott and Tessa. They looked so confident and fresh. Tessa said she remembered that practice and that she whispered to Scott afterwards, “And that’s how you win the Olympics.” Tessa is an incredibly humble person so for her to both feel that at that time and to tell us the story now, speaks to the overwhelming amount of preparation they did. If this is from the same practice she speaks of, I agree, they looked amazing!!
