Still, I've always turned off sticky keys on any new computer right after I accidentally triggered it like one time. I don't remember whether I read the popup (because it wasn't interrupting a game because i don't use keyboard for games) or I just looked it up but I don't remember it being hard to do either way.

The real story here is that she’s playing Sekiro with the keyboard and mouse controls. A more chadlike move, there is not.
i very much prefer mouse kb over controller, distortion a world record speed runner prefers mouse kb too. he was using a controller at first, then switched to mouse kb, said it was better cause it was more consistent.
of course it comes down to preference, but there is definitely nothing wrong with a decent mouse and maybe a nice mechanical keyboard.
Its always better to use what you are used to. Besides, I prefer k&m on soulslikes since its superior in terms of camera control. And camera is the only real enemy there. :D
Yeah being able to flick with the mouse makes gameplay much more precise.
Guess I'm the chaos option. I kludged together a means to move with a controller and aim with a mouse, though this really only applies to shooters and some 3rd person games.
my only real problem with using a controller is camera view,I finished Sekiro on kbm, tried ng+ on controller and struggled lmao

it hunted me for years before finally learning how to turn it off
and even tho I knew I turned it off pressing the ctrl alt shift consecutive times has me on fear of it sound popping and appearing
and still I don't know what does it really do besides those pop up sound.
Essentially, Sticky Keys is a feature so that if someone has a mobility limitation or disability that prevents them from physically holding down one key and pressing another one, that the Shift, Ctrl, & Alt keys can be easily toggled to maintain a toggle input. (This is also why it activates with a single repeated keypress of just the Shift key, rather than how most shortcuts requires a key combination)

@@PierceArner That's what it's for? That's so stupid. I can never even begin to imagine why rich companies always either ignore handicapped people entirely or force accessibility features onto everyone by default.
It's like how the vast majority of people using subtitles just wanna know what the characters are saying but they always throw in stuff like "dramatic industrial music" or "distant sound effect that's probably in the script but clearly didn't make it into the movie" or "sound of a thing you can see happening" or "🎵" so it's more bearable to just turn the subtitles off & miss all the dialogue.
@@D_YellowMadness …they're on like that by default _because that ensures that someone with that disability can activate them as needed._ Everyone else can easily just turn them off if they don't need them as a minor interruption, vs. a major disruption of being unable to use or toggle a feature when needed as core functionality.
Additionally, Subtitles & Closed Captions are two different things and they address different accommodations in information conveyance. Some companies are lazy and only create a single Closed Caption track mislabeled as Subtitles - but if there's only a single option, the one making sure that deaf people can still enjoy a show is more important than your mild irritation over seeing "dramatic music" or other contextual audio information in the Captions.
You should probably take a moment to reevaluate your perspective, and understand that accessibility NEEDS are prioritized above other user WANTS when it comes to workflow prioritization. That's why handicapped parking spaces are closer to the store entrance. Necessity > convenience.

Everyone who games on a PC should allocate 5 minutes of their lives to disable sticky keys and filter keys forever. It's so easy.
It takes like 10 seconds. Press shift a bunch of times, click on the thing that says "disable me????" and then click the checkbox.

But I'll still probably rage for the first week or so after getting a fresh computer as I gradually see the "features" that I have disabled/uninstalled on my older computer.

My old computer had some issues with sticky keys and it was an issue for like a year or so, you genuinely can't delete, can't turn off or do anything to it because for some reason it will crash the computer whenever I tried. It was so annoying whenever you hear that bullshit sound knowing you can't turn that shit off.
Remember kids, always disable the sticky keys shortcut in windows settings the moment you get a new pc
