hI... I tell you some things about this song: The texts of the song have been extracted from the Eggia stone. Eggja's stone (also known as Eggum's or Eggjum's stone) This is a large flat stone with runic inscriptions that covered a tomb dating from the period between 650 and 700 and that was discovered while plowing a field in 1917 at Eggja farm in Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. When it was found, the inscription was on the underside of the slab covering a man's grave, so that it could not be read from the outside (like the Kylver stone). The stone is currently in the Bergen museum. It has about 200 runes, making it the longest inscription engraved with letters of the ancient futhark alphabet, although some runes have a transitional form to the young futhark. The old Danish lyrics say the following: The home fades. Vil launched a deadly horde upon them. The oars and mast were destroyed. Who brought? Who brought the horde to this distant land? The fishes of the streams of Firnoy. They swim adrift. From the land of bright meadows. Who brought? Who brought the horde to this distant land?
I was born in northern Germany. Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein, on the Baltic Sea. My homeland was Danish for a long time. That's why I have a special connection to my Nordic neighbors. I love them.
This song is what I believe as a Dutchman, what Marines are aspiring too. 'If you leave us alone, we won't harm you. If you mean us harm, we will end you!' It is powerful statement, but one to be recognized! 'We will not suffer you to live, if you do not suffer us to...'
I can tell you what that feeling or power you speak of is...genetic memory, the auditory sounds of the naturally made instruments along with the rhythm of the drums reawaken your genetic memory of a time not so long ago. There are those who hear the call to balance our lives and return to nature as our primal instincts sense the danger of these troubled times. Those in power in society has tried to tame the beast from the time they pulled us out the woods and now more than ever they have their wish within theyre slimey grasp. Humanity please wake up before too much blood has been shed to get our well deserved freedom back.
“They are 100% vibrating on different frequencies folks!….. different frequencies than you or I” Couldn’t be said better. It gets into your very marrow.
I’m 2 years late but you are so lucky. I’ve just discovered Heilung. They are changing my life. That must’ve been a magical experience. Hope you are doing well my friend. Love from Arizona, USA. ❤
I love your insight to the sound of metal banging in the background, and the similarity to a blacksmith. Knowing what we know of the song now, you've hit the nail on the head, and made an observation that I've yet to see or hear from anyone else. That is 100% supposed to emulate the sound of them forging a sword and it's one hundreds sisters in preparation of war. On point bro!
I liked this reaction especially because the banner running at the bottom of the screen encompasses some of the principles of Astatru, the modernized interpretation of the culture and religion this music is derived from. It's the principles of a tribal people, but it could definitely improve our more 'modern' way of seeing things. Heilung encapsulates the experience of a people who strive to strike balance with nature and their fellow humans, seeing one another as genuine brothers and sisters in this world. Krigsgaldr is a song of a people forced into warfare by an invading force (likely the Romans) and their slip into the inhumane depravity that war creates. We could learn something from these songs.
Please react to Traust, also by Heilung. Unfortunately there is no live-version with good sound quality. Instead I recommend a translated lyrics version. youtube user "Maor Avni" have a good one, "Heilung Traust with translation (Futha CD)"
i love your réaction and your comments ! i like the voice to the woman ; this song is haunting , there's chamanes. I LIKE SKALD TO . PLEASE réact to "O VALHALLA" live hellfest 2019 . and i am so happy when you react to LUC ARBOGAST . GO TO Hurryken production , "CANCION SEFARADI" . YOU SEE HER playing in a church. BEAUTIFUL SONG . Thats the frequency of the old gods, of Odin, and Freya, of Frig and Heimdhal, of Thor and Loki.
This is so tribal and I just feel so primal listening to this. Absolutely wonderful!

Saw them live before the pandemic, and it was AMAZING! You can feel the music, literally. 🤟🏽

I went to the NYC show in January 2020!!😍
@@johickey3158 Same here, catch you on the next one....
This song is how I interact with people: I strive for peace, but I understand that some people only “understand the language of the sword” .

DON´T MESS WITH THE NORTH!!!!
Please also send that to Putin ('Putler') ! :-/
If I heard this intro to the song back in the day I would be gone before I heard any vocals lol
Interestingly, this is a song about peace!
This is so relaxing, my heart rate slows down whenever I listen to Heilung. Peace
Awesome to see you do this one. I also recommend Norupo by them, it’s very peaceful. A lot of their music definitely put you in a trancelike state
Ever listen to their song Galgaldr? Highly recommend 👌
@@I_scribbles I have. I think I have all of Heilung, Wardruna, and Danheim’s song in a play with some other similar band in a playlist
Maria is using human arm bones... yes human and they sometimes have a hard time at the airport security, not sure why?
It’s a complete mystery! Some people just don’t appreciate folk music!
It's all in the frequency
I was there, I was in the crowd. This was so awesome.
I’m 2 years late but you are so lucky. I’ve just discovered Heilung. They are changing my life. That must’ve been a magical experience. Hope you are doing well my friend. Love from Arizona, USA. ❤
Their music always feel like it's activating some leftover Upper Paleolithic DNA in me. I want to paint myself up and go spear hunting.
Yes! Me too! And build my own campfire😊
Is that hunting for a spear or with a spear lol!😂
11:07 That look she gives when she turns just Fuks me up every time. Not sure why. she emits an imaginatry power somehow.

Extraordinary and pleasant to listen to.
Going back to one’s roots …uhh bones! ❤️🌷

The guy on the middle is just hitting a shield. It can'tget better than this
Kai Faust German born and the 'shaman' of the group
we dont look for war, but if it comes to us.. we make your fires of purification look like dying embers
I love Alfadhirhaiti far more though! :-)
The female vocalist also is in the band Euzen. I love their song "Judged by".
Yes those are real bones.
I can imagine this is EXACTLY the sounds made by pre-Christian Norse shaman, priests and warriors......Maria is a pagan goddess!
That's not what you want to hear if you are a Roman soldier and walking with your friends threw the teutenburg Forrest!

The horned headdresses are not demonic. That is a Christian concept. There are things here that go back as far as the Mesolithic.
Perhaps the ancient Romans heard similar singing from German forests before they were massacred!? Hmmm???
Krigs = proto-germanic word for war
galdr = proto-germanic word for spell (as in magical)
Check out Maria’s other band Euzen
Fantastic to listen and watch this spectacle, i think this comes from Norway/Sweden Iceland?
Germany (Kai), Denmark (Ole), Norway (Maria).
Sorry. The dane's name is Christoffer.

DO Anoanna!! its incredible
Hey mister hxc, please do another heilung reaction, you have to Listen and watch the song Anoana, this is what i call to be connected to nature
Next alfadhirhaiti please
The song's title translates to "War Song". This is NOT about peace.
But they want peace. Yet realize its impossible when attacked, so they will defend themselves, when need be. When need be: they will go all in.
