Can you explain more about dante please - it's interesting for me, because I'm on market for new 833 from Sound Devices, but only 888 and scorpio have a dante output.

It is essentially 16 additional audio inputs AND outputs over a digital network connection. There are literally thousands of Dante compatible hardware devices across the entire signal chain from mic pre amps, processors and mixers, to speakers. Think of it as a digital patch panel. We also use it exclusively to send and receive computer audio. There is software called Dante Virtual Sound Card that lets you send and receive audio to and from a Mac or Windows PC
