Preamp is the clean section of the amp with your tone controls. The Poweramp section creates the distortion. the FX loop is after that in the signal chain just before it leaves the amp to the speakers

Cool pedal. Seeing as it's four cable, they kinda missed the opportunity to put an adjustable volume boost after the preamp and before the delay/reverb so you can hit the boost switch and smack the front of the preamp harder as well as a little volume boost to get above the mix for solos. Saves the sound engineer having to ride the level at gigs. That would make this pedal perfect. Granted, Jeff Loomis doesn't need that. He's got a sound engineer who knows the show. Would be good for the little guys starting out though.
The Badlander wasn't really the best example to use it on, as it's already a tighter amp than the Dual/Triple Recto. But the pedal looks dope, and the price of $325 is actually alright!
He's one of those guys that when you hear and see him play, you wonder why he's not twice as popular as he is. As far as pure metal, there's few on his level. The speed, the accuracy, and he's a great writer. I still have his album with Keith Merrow Conquering Dystopia on my phone and it's played in my car daily. It's how I get my game face on before work. The man is all that.

There was a Pete Thorn video in which he used delay into distortion to get the same effect as on Ain’t Talkin Bout Love and it was pretty neat. So don’t knock it till you try it
That's an amazing sounding pedal. At $325 it seems a bit steep but its also 4 pedals in one. I would love to hear a comparison with the EVH 5150 pedal and the Freidman Overdrive pedal, both of which sound magnificent.
this was a well thought out pedal. I could pair this with a synergy Syn1 and a KSR PA 50 into a 2x12. All I would need would be a tuner and maybe a wah pedal. I think I am going to buy one of these!
What's crazy is I use jeffs pick ups and there so hot the out put is so high I have to turn back my gain on my EV head 😂 or it will get noisy.and that's just using a tube screamer.you almost don't need a boost with his pick ups.
325 bucks on their website. I suppose it makes sense for a multi effect pedal made in the USA and stuff. That does carry a premium for gear, whether warranted or not. Still it does sound cool. Of course not everyone is lugging around a mesa boogie for gigs/live shows! lol. At least...I hope not, those things are heavy!
I feel as if Jeff and many other modern shredders are almost left behind with no hits no labels and even no bands since selfish Kurt ruined the 80s shredder heydays. Great player great pedal 2 Viking horns up!

Except more pedals = more cables = more points of failure. Over 9 years I've had precisely two pedals ever malfunction, vs. probably 3-4x that rate for cables.

Would prefer the 'Boost' tied to the 'Reverb/Delay' side so it's increasing the dB output overall instead of just pushing the input to be more saturated.
Great playing and the pedal sounds awesome. Unfortunately that will be painful to use on a pedal board. 4 cable with just 1 pedal. I'd prefer the pedal split into 2. Reverb/delay and overdrive/boost.
