I can remember listening to your dad on the organist entertains in the early seventies.I've tried to find a link to it online, as I've love to hear it again. Never mind.I saw him at the Bulls Head in Barnes and also At the Holiday Inn ,Plymouth ,in the roof restaurant. Although it's a long time ago,his musicianship was superb and the way he could please the audience was also fantastic. His percussion, tony utah and drummer Robin Jones (in fact i played with his brother also a drummer, Cookie (Erroll)jones)made up the trio.Good memories, happy times!

I worked for Mecca Nightclubs Over 49 years ago, and Alan Haven`s Imagine was always the last record played at the end of the night. The venues were Cats Whiskers Burnley, Bolton Palais, Darwen Tiffanys, Carlisle Tiffanys and Wigan Tiffanys. Will never forget RIP Alan

I've only now seen that Alan Haven has died. I obviously missed the announcement. He was so talented. At The Bulls Head in Barnes in the 60s the queue to see him stretched down the road. We used to get there very early in order to get in let alone get a seat. RIP.

Nobody was a master of the organ like Alan Haven. And so glad he chose a Lowrey DSO or similar Lowrey over the Hammond B3. If anyone proved that it didn't have to be a Hammond to be great it was him.

So sad to hear of talented Alan's demise. I knew Alan as a customer and a fellow "Webburnite" (Hailing from "The Old Watermill", Beach Road, Weybourne, North Norfolk)
and when I was an active singer in "The Cromer Smugglers" Folk and Shanty Group, and now sole survivor of same.
R.I.P. Old Friend, You will be sadly missed

Lovely to see all the nice tributes here to one of the true music greats.
As an organist & compere, I had the privilege of supporting Alan in Blackpool in the 90's. Growing up with this wonderful music had apparently rubbed off, and he would say something like "you carry on, I haven't played that arrangement for years" and we laughed regularly, as they just kept on coming by mistake oooops!!!!. Thanks for the music and entertainment, it was a real pleasure to know you, and we are all still lovin' the tunes.
    Keith (Harrison)

The first track, from an LP, I think title the Alan Haven organ show featured Alan playing the Crumar Haven 103, his own design. I had one of these when launched, two sets of drawbars flute and brilliance. Certainly different to what was around. I saw Alan demonstrate these organs and it was indeed, a show. Amazing, talented organist.

I am honored and privileged to say that Alan's last CD (2012) with 12 songs was using poems of mine. The CD entitled "12" showed Alan at his best with jazz, blues, and some reggae and some rock. Here is one of the songs, from my best known poem entitled "I'm Tired." ruclips.net/video/ScCQDhm1R_Y/видео.html
